ad closed Winchester Model 70 Safari Express 375 H&H
leroy replied to AGunForEachHand's topic in Firearms Classifieds
I wish I wuz 30 years younger... I would grab this guy up and sit him in the gun safe next to my Remington 700 Safari 375. Anyone who fancies himself a finished rifleman owes it to him self to own n learn to shoot one of these beasties. They are extremely accurate n powerful. Nothin like em... Good luck with the sale... I can't decide what " the real deal " is... I live in McNally's home district, n I've never heard of nor thought anything other than he wuz bought n paid for by the " Landed Gentry " republicans like Haslam. He may have just made an Huho; but in his business they can be fatal. As I remember, McNally is 78, that's pretty ancient for any kind of flanderin of any flavor... wondering leroy...

Amen Brother.!!!

Have y'all seen this tidbit..? A Republican TN rep has had enough of McNally... https://www.wsmv.com/2023/03/16/tennessee-lawmaker-calls-lt-gov-mcnally-resign-after-perverted-social-media-activity/ This could have a very definite effect on TN 2A politics. McNally has long been in the pockets of the " Property Rights trump Self Defense" crowd... This one will be interesting to watch. As I remember, this McNally thing made Breitbart... Watching ( n hopin ) leroy...

Rausch is neither a lawyer, a good police chief, a scholar, nor a student of the Second Amendment... He is, however, a boot licking opportunist, hoisted on us all via the Haslam Enterprise. David Rausch's only discernable talent ( . To me, at least .) is being bought n paid for by Bill Haslam and rewarded a KPD chief's job; and later with the directorship of the TBI. He is in the same class as McNally; only a bit below, as he was never elected to any office. He is, however, very adept at bootlicking n saying "Yousah Boss"... The citizens of the State of Tennessee deserve far better than this " civil servant "... despisin leroy... Watcher of the foxes in the henhouse...

Things to consider... Dexterity... Ya can't beat goatskin for dexterity. In the old days, our TIG welding guys used goatskin. Go to the nearest welding supply store and get the right size n the right price. They are very reasonably priced. Second; if you work, that is: Carry concrete blocks, stone, bricks, manure, shovel, dig, swing a sledge hammer, set poles, climb poles, do wire rigging; expect your gloves to wear out, no matter the price if they are leather. They are sacrificial garments to save your hands. If you wear your gloves to drive, ride horses, ATVs, etc; they are an " accessory ", not a primarily protective clothing; they will last just fine. Spend as much as your pride in ownership quotient allows... By the way, this info is brought to you via an old curmudgeon, who has worked in jobs where ya can wear out a pair of gloves a day. Lastly, Wells Lamont leather palm/ canvas " White Mule " gloves used to be the best ya could by if you " worked "... Mine used to last about a week before the fingers wore thru back in the hod carrying/ brickwork days. retired ( thankfully ) leroy, the glove man...

I've got a couple of em in 10 mm. They are excellent pistolas. Mine are Glocks, but I keep craving an XD M like the one ya just picked up. I'm more a fan of XDs triggers than Glocks. I seem to shoot em a bit better. I can tell ya if your 10 mm shoots like my 9 mm XD M elite 4.5; ya are gonna like it... Can't wait to hear the range report... leroy...

McNally needs to go... He has always come across as a " know it all "," smartest person in the room "; always ready to enlighten n guide us less erudite rustics. He is bought n paid for by big business in Tennessee. It will be a great day when he is gone from Tennessee politics. This is heartbreaking and infuriating at the same time

After doin a bit of watching; sadly, I'm beginning to believe that this poor woman's family search for justice is nothin more than an opportunity to make a few dollars thru a " nuisance " settlement or " wrongful death " settlement with the city n hospital. They are taking one wrong and turning it into an opportunity for cash. We need hospitals; we need police. This angling for a " settlement " will hurt both, including this poor woman's memory. SIGH. I'ma thinkin they care no more than to pocket some cash... It's a truly sad scene. It is also very wrong. leroy... -
Congratulations Brother. I never could get my Walther vibes right. Money...No Walther... No money...Lotsa Walthers... SIGH. Enjoy your great pistola. leroy.

I understand Brother... Been retired for 17 years. I love outdoor photography and do it alot. I enjoy being outdoors. I also volunteer a bit at church. The most important thing is not to get sad n depressed. I watched my older brother decide he was worthless because he retired. He is now gone home. My advice; hunt several things ya like n go do em. Buddy around with your buddies as ya can. Quit worrying about age and enjoy... leroy... 76 year old kid n loading specialist.

Servicos Aventuras small pistol primers
leroy replied to Jamie Jackson's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Thanks Jamie..! This is great news.. -
Do what ya will... Folks let their work trucks sit out with tools in em all the time. Some get broken into n some don't. I've had 2 pistols stole from personal n work vehicles over my 50 or so years; got one of em back. The point is; that if it's in the vehicle and not in a bolted down and sturdy lock box, your pistola will most likely be gone. leroy...

Congratulations.!!! Can't beat em Brother..! A favorite for sure... leroy.
-
To add to the reporting, they are an excellent pistola. Got one myself. leroy..
-
Either go big here, or keep it on you. The bolted box is where it's at. A cable can be cut in seconds. I never leave my pistola anywhere. If it can't go ( I understand the " work " thing, I'm retired though. ), I can't go. They don't call it concealed carry for nothin. leroy...

Very sad, indeed... Knoxville has a long history of not caring about the poor n disadvantaged... SIGH. leroy... -
I like em..!!! Re do of the 1201 , but built in Gallatin, TN...!!! Who'd a thought it..!? I gotta have one ta go with my " new to me " 1201... The greatest selling points for me are the alloy frame that lightens the gun considerably, the recoil operating system ( no worry and fuss about gas systems clogging ), and the Beretta quality and reliability thing. I've started an A300 procurement fund... All that from a riot shotgun junky who loves em all... Riot gun leroy.

Try methyl alcohol. Start in an inconspicuous place. It may strip the finish. leroy

Yet another "where is cheap ammo?" Thread

Palmetto is a great place to buy ammo. Take a look at SG ammo as well. Have done Lotsa business with both. leroy.. -

All my info is dated, but I've never seen a bad shooting turn bolt 223. I've got a varminter barrel Winchester model 70 that will shoot right with my beloved 222. Shooting a 12 gage hull off a fence post at 100 yards wuz a nothin with a good rest. That said, we used 52 to 55 grain bullets n 1 in 12 twist barrels. I'ma thinkin the newer rifles are one in eight or so, but there are plenty of good bullets for em too. I'd pick the one I liked; been looking at a lightweight CZ A600 myself... Good luck, leroy.
