The revolver will never fail; it just has limited firepower (...if you are into that sort of thing...). Remember most gunfights are 2 or 3 rounds. Wait till some hard cases (...think Rocky and Leon Houston here...) get their doors kicked in and think it's a home invasion. There are simply some places in which folks can do this stupid stuff (...read that inner city, crackhouses, dopeheads, etc....) and some places where ya cant. This is a dangerous rule. It presupposes that there will be no shooting back if a door is kicked in unannounced (...if im understanding this right...). There are some folks layin in the ground who have tried this before. Having said that, here is a bit of background and assessment RE: Carter and the pesky jews: Right now its a dead heat i would say RE: stupidity in foreign relations. Number two, they have a pretty united backbone right now (...for the first time in a long time...). There is no real sympathy of the alleged "plight" of the palestinians" in israel now, and thats been a long time comming. I predict that we will wake up one morning and that the pesky jews will have saved the middle east again (...for the third or fourth time...) by slapping Iran back into the stone age (...around their nuclear facilities, at least...) and slapping anyone else who would overtly use weapons against them--- all without asking anyone's "permission".. They do this ever so often (...think the syrian and iraqui nuclear programs, strikes against olympic games murders, etc, the occasional assination of nuclear scientists and researchers here the other day...). The world becomes indignant and criticizes the pesky jews for a while for having saved the middle east yet again. The United Nations anti-semites will take turns villifying the jews for a while. After they run out of breath, everyone will again breath a collective sigh of relief that the pesky jews have saved the world for another few years. In my view, it is the ultimate arrogance for a chump like nobama and a bunch of overbearing polititians and bureaucrat operatives like the clintons to "demand" that the pesky jews do anything. 556:___________ Thanks for the report. I like the smith PD type 1911's myself. Would like to have a full size (...5 inch...). The light frame makes 'em a great carry gun. Noticed the thread picked up again. Have been loading 3.9 grains of 231 (...look in the latest Speer Reloading manual...) with both jacketed (....hornady 90 grain jhp and speer 95 grain solid...) and hard cast round nose bullets (....missouri bullet...). They shoot just fine in my sig 238. I was pleasantly suprized at how the lead round nose bullets fed. None of these loads gave any trouble. Hope this helps. leroy

Slim:______________ Close 'em by hand, hot glue 'em in, and clamp till they are set. I wouldn't worry about resizing 'em either. Ya might want to try some of the magtech brass 410 by 2 1/2 inch shells. They prime with a large pistol primer; the "real" 410s use a 209 primer (...i think...). We used some of the 12 ga magtechs in my son's side hammer remington with black powder. We just glued the overshot wad in with elmers glue or hot glue. Hope this helps. leroy

Let's start this off with two of my favorites. The first is 6.5 grains of unique and the hornady 230 grain flatnose. Seat 'em as long as ya can (...to max oal...). Use anyones standard primers. Second one is 5.2 grains of titegroup with anybodys 230 grain bullet. Seat em as long as ya can. Use anybodies standard primers. Both these loads will shoot better than most folks can hold. Thanks for posting this. I like the spx (....mostly because of the customization possibilities...) and would like to have an 18 inch plain barrel. I cant decide between doing one of these or cutting down (...or finding...) and 18 inch plain barrel Browning A5. I like a recoil operated shotgun. The problem with the A5's and their brothers like the Franchi is that that it's hard to find aftermarket parts for them. Been thinkin about doing a more modern version of a semi-auto shotgun. I really like this one (...mine has to look like a "real" shotgun. This one does...). Again, for posting this great picture and the review. leroy
