My son has a Glock 19 and a 42. I have had all at the range and rented a 43. I wanted to get on the bandwagon and my son would never give his G-19. They're just not for me. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

I think Glock is a love-hate thing. No question about being reliable but, for me, the trigger and feel is not a good match. My Sig P320C is much more my style, but that's just me. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

I have to agree with that line of thinking. I plan to sell my xds-45 for a Sig P320 in 9 or a 45, if that comes out at the 2017 Shot Show. But I will still keep the CZ just because I think it is an awesome pistol. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

I have to ask how long did it take you to get 35k rounds fired? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

I have bought and sold several guns this year trying to find my "perfect" pistol. The first gun I ever purchased was in December 2015. My carry is an XDS-45, my range gun is a CZ 75 BD, and my home defense is a Sig P320C 45 ACP. I love the Sig trigger but the CZ feels great in my hand and it is extremely accurate for me to shoot. I vote for the CZ for range and/or target shooting. Some minor upgrades from Cajun Gun Works can make the CZ trigger very pleasant to shoot.

All fine questions. Just contact your local police department to get answers instead of opinions. Also, I personally recommend a book called Law of Self-Defense, by Andrew Branca. Plan to attend their class if they come to your area. Excellent information from someone known and well respected in the gun community. Here is a link to their site and you can get the book from Amazon. http://lawofselfdefense.com/book/

I have a pair of older ear muffs as hearing protection but want a better set so I can hear range commands. I've researched Peltor, Pro Ears, and Howard Leight but would feedback on what really works. Trying to stay under $200 if possible. Thanks

I have sold five handguns this past year. Four locally and one out of state. Out of state was shipped from and to an FFL dealer. I required a bill of sale for all others - notarized. If the buyer does something silly I want proof I do not own the gun. I live in TN. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Nothing local. I had to buy online at Ammunition Depot.

I have only shot in two IDPA matches and found this to be a really fun program. My problem is, how do I find out when and where matches are being held in the Middle Tennessee area? Is there a "central" website where all upcoming matches are listed? Or, do I need to contact every club in the area to get match dates, which is kind of a hit-or-miss (no pun intended) method for me. Any suggestions will be appreciated. - Thanks

IDPA classifier match at Gallatin Gun Club

Will this classifier be re-scheduled due to the thunderstorm forecast for September 10th? -
I also have a P320 9mm. Love it and am waiting for the 45acp exchange kit.

I agree with many other comments regarding renting different pistols. Especially if he has no experience with shooting. I bought my first handgun in November 2015 without firing one. That was a Springfield XD Mod 2 9mm and I really lucked out. Great gun but bulky to carry. I then bought a Sig P938. For me, it was a terrible pistol. My hands are not small and I couldn't get a firm grip on the gun so each range experience was very unpleasant so I sold it. If he does have experience then my favorite handgun is the Sig P320 Compact 9mm. I have fired over 1,100 rounds with no issues and is very accurate. Just check it out and Good luck with your decision.

Not sure what you mean by not feeling good in your hand. I have fired my son's Glock 19 several times but I do not shoot it as well as my Sig P320. The G19 grip is narrower than the Sig and I think that is why I get better groupings with my Sig. For me, it's all about the girth of the grips.

Well I guess I am the odd ball. MY Walther P22 has never been an issue and I have fired over 400 rounds. I only use CCI Mini-Mags 40gr. ammo and it seems to burn clean with no failures. The gun I finally sold, after 703 rounds was the Kimber Micro 380. I wanted to really like that gun but way too many failure to feed and/or fully return to battery problems. Even after Kimber techs replaced all of the springs and did some custom polishing to the feed ramp and barrel. I just couldn't trust it.

The Micro is small and is designed for easy concealment or maybe even as a pocket gun. I bought this for my wife and it fit her hands perfectly. I have a Sig P320 Compact 9mm and love it. My wife has chosen not to carry a pistol so it's on the market.

I have a Sig P320 previously owned a P938. The P938 was just too small for my med./Lg. hands so I sold it after firing nearly 800 rounds. The only time I had a failure was with 115 grain ammo. I quickly changed to 124 gr. Speer or Federal and never had the issue re-occur. Any interaction I have had with Sig CS has been positive. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

Seems like you've some tough times with your Walther. But in the end it sounds like you got excellent customer service. I had an issue early-on with my P22 but Walther had me send it in, shipping prepaid, and in about 2 weeks I got it back and the issue was corrected. Good Team!

I first debated between a Walther PPS, now called the classic model, and The XD Mod 2 9mm. I chose the XD and found this gun fits my semi-large hands perfectly and the trigger is far better than the Walther. For me, it is a little top heavy and at 28 oz. loaded this not my carry gun very often. But I do love the pistol.

Good choice. I have fired 550 rounds through my P320 Compact and with no failures at all. For me, the 124 grain bullet is better than the 115 grain. I have fired a variety of handguns, including the Glock 19, and I get a better grip and am more accurate with my P320 that any other handgun I have shot so far.
