  1. I always asked the buyer to have their FFL dealer email me a copy of the license for my files. It is also best to include with the shipment if you are using Fed-ex.
  2. Across from Fed-x hub, off Elm Hill Pike.
  3. Stock up on .17 cent ammo. Prices are going up and becoming hard to get. I can usually find some deals on https://ammoseek.com/ but you have to pay attention to the ending time and the shipping cost.

Keep us informed please. I have been debating if that would be a 357 to consider.
  5. Here is a link to ones found on Gunbroker.com. Hope this helps. https://www.gunbroker.com/Guns-Firearms/search?Keywords=ruger 57
  6. Depends on your purpose for having one. Target, competition, carry , etc.? I owned a Cajunized RAMI and loved it. Great ergonomics and very accurate. A bit chunky for conceal carry and became a safe queen. Sold it and bought a Sig P226 SAO Legion for competition. It's my favorite 9mm. Good luck.
  7. A Cajunized CZ 75 Compact - Love it!
  8. The only outdoor range I shot in that area was at the Strategic Edge in Chapel Hill. Not sure if that's too far but a real nice range to visit.
  9. I have to agree with Grayfox54. It's just an ugly gun with no real world practical use.
  10. My last three purchases were a P226 Legion, CZ 97 BD 45, and a Sig P320 X-Fullsize.
  11. I'm not an attorney but here's my opinion on unregistered pistols. Any sale or trade in TN should be documented by the gun owners for their own protection. I am not aware of a law that requires handgun owners in TN dealing with TN residents having to register their handgun with any TN law enforcement agency. That said, if the unthinkable would ever happen you will need to prove you obtained the firearm legally. A lot of folks have a polymer-80 build-a-Glock pistols. If there is not already, there will soon be a requirement to serialize and register the pistol since it did not pass through an FFL dealer.
  12. No. That is why I ask for a copy of their license before shipping. I ship using Fed-x.
  13. They have done so in the past with no hesitation. A copy of the license will be included in the shipment, as well as for my files.
  14. The one I think is top notch and shoots regularly is Strategic Edge in Chapel Hill. I know it's a bit of a drive but I really liked the range and the professional manner with which matches were run. Most matches would have 30 - 50 shooters of all ages (12-80) and experience. Typically, the large group was split up into 3 groups trying to pair experience. From the first time novice to Masters, shooting was a lot of fun. Everyone was willing to share tips and information. Matches usually ran from 8:30 AM til about noon.
  15. The problem I have found with most sub-compact handguns is that the grips are too small for my hands. Especially in the grip length. I also owned a G-43 and it was difficult to get a quick draw and get a fast purchase because of its size. The P365 and P938 gave me similar issues. For me, the G-43X is a good fit, as well as, the XDS Mod 2 45 acp with the extended grip. Wish you the best on your hunt.

    Would you buy it?
  17. Dittio what RED333 said.
  18. I attempted to install the Powder River Precision Spring (PRP) Kit for my XDS Mod 2 in 45 ACP. I had completed the same instal on the original XDS 45 with no problem. That was a few years ago so I tried to follow the videos put out by both PPR and Galloway Precision. Unfortunately, the Mod 2 version is different in one key aspect that was not mentioned in the tutorials. There is no extractor pin so as soon as you release the pressure on the extractor safety plunger the extractor just falls out. I found this out while trying to find the extractor pin and discovered the extractor had already fallen out on the workbench. I thought I broke something. I did call PRP for advice. They acknowledged the Mod 2 installation was different regarding how the extractor and extractor springs were installed. The extractor actually installs the same way as a Glock. My tip is this; if you plan to upgrade the springs on your XDS Mod 2 you need to watch how the extractor is removed and installed on a Glock.

  19. Strategic Edge Gun Range, Chapel Hill, TN - Look for "Aim small - Hit small" event. Next one is in March. http://www.strategicedge.us/gun-range/calendar
  20. Personally, I am more interested in the Glock 43-X than the 48. I think this is the model designed to compete directly with the P-365. I like the fact the grip on the 43-X is larger than the G43 and the P365. That was the one complaint I have with both pistols. The grip is too small for me to get a quick solid grasp. You all may have already seen the video from Sootch. https://www.full30.com/watch/MDE4NTEw/new-glock-g43x-g48-first-look
  21. I own a CZ P-10c and have been looking for a good set of day/night sights. Very few options exist for the P-10c. I installed Trijicon Night Sights but the front sight was almost invisible in daylight for these old eyes. Replaced the Trijicon front sight with Night Fusion green sights and it made a world of difference. Similar, I think, to the XS-F8 sights but smaller. In sunlight the front sight glows about like my Sig X-Ray3 sights on my Legion. In low or no light, they are nice and bright. Very please with the product and might consider using on other handguns. Here is the link to the website. https://www.nightfision.com/product/night-fision-perfect-dot-tritium-night-sights-for-cz-usa
  22. The $400 startup membership fee is a bit much for me. Look forward to participating in USPSA/IDPA events as a guest. Congratulations on your new range.
  23. I have a Ruger LCR and it is small and 100% reliable. Plus a 38 Special load is more than adequate for self defense so I will not be selling mine. The .380 pistols, IMO, are nearly the same size and weight as a 9mm (i.e., G42 vs. G43) and the 9mm has more punch. It's a matter of personal choice but I have sold my .380 pistols.
  24. A handgun i a very personal choice for many reasons, especially how it fits the hand. One suggestion would be a gift certificate, as mentioned before, to a well stocked gun range like The Nashville Armory. Have him rent different handguns to find what best matches his likes and desires. Best wishes with your choices.
