^ That or the P250

Havent fired it since it came back from Sig. I'm probably going to trade it in for another Glock. I love losing $300 on a 1 month old gun bought on a hasty decision
-
Conclusion: Sent the gun into Sig. They checked it out and said everything was in spec. They say the reason for the misfeeding is because I attempted to use ammo that is not SAAMI approved. So far I have had zero problems with any ammo except the Atlanta Arms so I guess their reason holds water.

That's exactly what I was thinking... ok, back on topic.

This might sound like overkill, but this fall I'm pulling out the carpet in my downstairs and putting in hardwood. (1/2 of it is hardwood already). My house is on a concrete slab. When we pull up the carpet in the master bedroom closet (walk-in) I'm jackhammering up the concrete in a 18" square, down 18" and installing a safe. It'll be in the corner so not in the way. There will be a hardwood "dummy door" that covers the safe door. Nothing that would defy scrutiny, but at first glance, you wouldn't see it. This safe is for handguns, a little ammo, some cash, and other valuables. This is just an idea at this point. may change my mind if I find something else that's cooler.

I got my mom one for Christmas with the crimson trace grip. The S&W Airweight guns are damn light and damn nice.

I thought you meant Paris France... I was about to tell you to RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Price includes Crimson Trace laser

F$%& a Sig... I want my Glock back. So far my experience with Sig has been terrible.
-
I am told very soon. That doesn't help much I know, but I will most likely know before most of you guys (S&W owns my company) so I'll let you know if I hear something. I'll be getting one as soon as they are available to employees, which is usually a month or so before the stores get them.

Just sold my M&P-15 so I can buy my new M&P-15. Piston > Gas...
-
Agreed. PLEASE don't butcher this Marlin...

Update: After 31 minutes on hold, I finally get someone. They asked me to send the gun in to them. They emailed me a UPS label. Good news: I just placed the order for my new toys. 1) Smith and Wesson M&P .40 2) Smith and Wesson M&P piston-driven Ar-15 in 5.56 nato. I should have them in 5-7 days. I'll start a new thread when they come in. I seriously doubt I'll have problems out of the M&Ps.

Well, it made it through the shooting event today just fine (with PMC ammo). Ran a few rounds of Blazer, and Winchester with no problems... Total rounds today: 500+ Even after all that, it still will not feed the Atl Arms ammo. Hell, maybe its just picky. Edit for minor update. Calling Sig is nearly pointless. The On-Hold time for customer service is apparently infinite. After 2 attempts at calling, both times I sat on hold for more than 30 minutes and then left a message for a call back...which I didn't receive. Tomorrow, I will call again and try to reach a supervisor/manager through the maze of "press X for so-and-so" options. So far, my opinion of Sig Sauer is: They are a crap company, building junk guns, and don't give a F#$@ about customer service. I hope after tomorrow's phone call, I am pleasantly surprised and my opinion changes. My opinion of Franklin Gun Shop has not changed. They suck.

i miss my glock

The 229 I shot at On Target was smooth as butter. I have serious buyers remorse now. This is what I get for acting hastily.

mini update: It has no problems with PMC, Federal, or Winchester ammo. I am now wondering about this "ammo related problem" angle... The Hydrashok bullet profile is almost exactly the same as the Atl Arms, minus the hollow-point. The Winchester and PMC have a "curved" profile. Everything except the Atlanta Arms will feed without fail... I have a call in to Sig Sauer. I'll post up whatever they say. As for Franklin Gun Club: Never again will I step foot in thier store.
-
It's had 300+ rounds through it now. It's not a "break in" issue, nor should a Sig have one.
-
I am so pissed off about this. I can't believe I let my stupid friend talk me into buying this gun. I want my Glock back. Raoul: It appears that I have the old style grip; however it also appears that I have all old style magazines too...
-
all 5 mags are Sig brand and all 5 mags have the problem. I think maybe it could be the mag catch in the gun.
-
UPDATE: 1) Description of problem: When feeding a round from the magazine, the round gets stuck 1/2 way. See pics. Took the gun back to Franklin Gun Shop. I showed them the problem. They "determined" that is was ammo related. They tried some PMC ammo and it didn't fail to feed. They basically told me the ammo I was using was "cheap" and that is what caused the malfunction. The ammo I am using is Atlanta Arms reloads. I've fired a TON of them through the Glock with ZERO problems; however the box of PMC I bought ran through the gun fine. The guys at On Target were awesome today. They worked with me all day on this even though I didn't buy the gun from them. They are calling B.S. on the problem being the ammo. They gave me a Sig P229 to test and the Atlanta Arms .40 ran through it without any problems. (The 229 was a damn nice gun BTW). Synopsis: I'm going to use the gun this weekend (with PMC ammo) for my training/shooting event and then after that I'm calling Sig Sauer to discuss the issue. I'm sure they will get a kick out of me telling them I want my Glock back.
-
Well, it sure is purty. Too bad it doesn't function properly. Brand new gun fails to chamber a round from the magazine every time. Magazines fit loosly. Quality appears to be pretty poor. I'm taking it back to the Franklin Gun store. Let's see how they handle this.

Took tomorrow off to get my taxes done. After that I will introduce her to On Target. added new pics
