In my experience there's not much you can do to keep deer from jumping any reasonable fence. I've seen them clear some remarkable obstacles both in height and width. On the other hand I've never seen them pick apples from a tree. They WILL go to great lengths to get the ones that have fallen to the ground... There are several ways to wire an electric fence. Deer can be resistant to traditional wiring where all the wires are hot, and the energizer is grounded with a rod in the ground. They don't transmit the electricity through the hooves well. Wire the fence with every other wire + and -. Space them about 6in apart. This will keep most anything out. Bears, possums, skunks, raccoons, deer you name it. This is how I wire the fence around my bees. Come to think of it possums are probably a bigger problem for picking g apples than any other animal! I know they will pick peaches and plums and damage the trees in the process! Angry little buggers too...if only until they see the flash...

Looks great, the revolver & spurs fit perfectly

People as individuals like to label other people. It helps with their personal identity. This is the confusing part... I'm different because I identify as________ but I'm an American Citizen. People get too wrapped up in pointing out the differences. It's a distraction the media and politicians like to exploit. As to gays with guns. I have found that when a member any group that has experienced violent attack decides to get serious about self defense that they frequently commit fully to it. Many times more completely than many of us here do.

Joe Manchin said this... "The problem that we have, and really the firewall that we have right now, is due process. It’s all due process. So we can all say we want the same thing, but how do we get there? … The shooter in Orlando was brought in twice by the FBI. They did everything they could … but there was no way for them to keep him on the NICS list or keep him off the gun buy list. So can’t we say if a person’s under suspicion there should be a five-year period that we have to see good behavior [before they can buy a gun]? Maybe we can come to that kind of agreement. But due process is what’s killing us right now." Full context here. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/06/16/joe-manchin-lets-mask-slip-due-process-killing-us/ This is what they think!

The watch lists are by definition "enemy lists" this is a very slippery slope. All totalitarian governmenta use such lists and everyone is encouraged to inform on each other. Frequently the reasons are "you are on a list, we are already warching you, but if you inform then you will be protected" This is a lie of course... Many of these lists get populated by looking at organizations such as the NRA too. It's not as far fetched an idea as some would think, and we've already had a senator say in public that the problem is "due process" it gets in the way of using the list for gun control... What really gets me is that the Dems hated the list under Bush for the same due process reasons. I agreed with them then! The agenda has changed for them, not for me.

Buy one of each and build a shadow box frame for them... cool gift for a gun enthusiast.

Fight At Night Oct 22 Dayton TN

I will highly recommend this class. I may take it again with my wife this time... she would bennifit from it for sure. Marksmanship skill isn't the priority, but basic safe gun handling is key particularly as it gets dark. Randy made sure we all were safe and was able to take time to help the couple of folks that needed it. -

I notice a distinct difference in speed from the full computer version, and the mobile version with the mobile version being distinctly slower. It is particularly noticeable when checking notifications. It isn't keeping me from using the site, but I do notice it. Most other things is just me getting used to it and searching out a feature now and then, no big deal.

Another consideration is that ballistic performance is reduced in these very short barrels. I know there is some ballistic gel testing on YouTube from shooting the bull or something like that for short barrel 9mm. Everyone comes to a point where they have to decide on the compromise of carry... Comfort, concealability, power, reliability, etc. Lots to consider here. I wouldn't hesitate to carry a 380 if that was the only alternative to nothing... buying premium ammo and esure it's reliable too. Good luck!

You'd have lots of company

Sadly many people consider fighting back to be uncivilized. They depend on the police or FBI to protect them. As we know LE can't be everywhere all the time. Parents should hols etc. teach kids that dial 911 is the solution to every situation. It is not... individuals need to stand up for themselves. I feel horrible for this young lady. There are not words for what she will now feel about herself. This also makes me wonder if this guy is on a "list" somewhere!

Sadly the next step in the universal background check will be to verify if the SELLER is in legal possession and the gun is legal to sell...

I'm not really having difficulty. But that's a cool idea!

I forgot about the BM59 I shot one years ago. As I recall it was a solid weapon.

Just proves the point that walls are NOT bullet proof. Very sad for every one. I can imagine the grief that the gun owner feels. Ignorance is not always bliss.

That brings a tear to my eye... Heal fast!

I had a first gen SR25 years ago and it shot wonderfully. I would also consider an FAL & M1A, but they are harder to get to shoot well. An AR10 platform will always be easier to get to shoot. DaveTN's points above about building vs buying complete a very valid. Build one if you want but you won't likely save much. You will get the pleasure of building it though!

I don't mind the political discussion, but some threads get to a point where it's just nit picking and finger pointing. If I've got something to say I say it, but it's up to others to decide for themselves. No sense in arguing... I wouldn't like to see all political discussion ended, but maybe the moderators can just close a thread if it gets out of hand. If we want political shouting we can watch any news channel. The new format is just a learning curve for me. I am now going to break in my Canik TP9SA-V2 Happy Father's Day!

that's an idea worth considering.... I wonder what the chances are?

I wasn't here last summer so I was just guessing... I don't mind the new software, but admit it doesn't seem as easy as the old version. My son has a name for my afliction, but I've forgotten it in my old age...

I'm sure that will happen, but learning about loosing is very motivating... I wouldn't worry about it. She sounds pretty resilient for her age. You have a lot to be proud of. Enjoy this time with her it truly is worth it!

Seems slower to me as well. Summer is here and lots of other demands on my time, makes for less time on the computer. Maybe that's part of it???
