I'll agree with you completely. I love a good trigger. If you have the fundamentals down it will help you shoot better, if not then it's just bragging rights. I have been out shot by better shooters with less than optimum guns it can be humbling and motivating... By their nature striker pistols can't have as good a trigger as a hammer gun. If you want a truly awesome trigger a S&W revolver in single action is hard to beat!

I'll agree with you there aren't any Tupperware/striker guns that can match a decent 1911 trigger. I have a nice selection of S&W revolvers and the new ones aren't like the older ones. I have a shield 9mm and the trigger is acceptable for what it is. A 1911 it aint... I picked up a Canik elite and was stunned by the quality of the trigger. I bought it on the spot, even made sure I got the one I had handled and not one from the back stock. Some don't like them because they are made in turkey. I'm not so bothered by it. If you are looking for a reasonably priced 9mm with a remarkable trigger. Give it a look. Frankly I am still shaking my head. It beats any other striker poly gun I've ever handled for trigger, and accuracy. It's not a 1911 trigger but it's the best I've found so far...

I've got mine....

Do tell on the Steyr. I almost bought a GB years ago, but the seller had second thoughts at the last minute.

Canik TP9SF, TP9 Elite, BF arms 22LR single shot w/1.5oz trigger, AMT Baby Automag 22LR, Anchutz Exemplar 22LR, Grendel P10, Benelli MP95E nickel 22LR, S&W Ladysmith, aluminum j-frame, S&W 4026, 2nd issue Colt Match Target Woodsman (this one is just a brag). Hmmmm probably others I used to be into weirdness more than now... Canik is almost mainstream now and darn fine weapons though.

Just had a chat with my wife about this. Regardless of terrorism roots or not the sentiment of watch your back is so true. Situational awareness is our best tool for survival. Without that any weapon we have is useless. Watch your back and stay safe.

More successful than the north Korean missile program.

No way it's a real plane. The cockpit edge would never seal, it looks like it's a fiberglass mockup. You already pointed out bogus instruments. The leading edge of the wing look VERY thick. It might taxi around, but it probably doesn't have enough power to do more than thay... Funny propaganda though...

Make sure that the TFX, not the TFO. They are very similar but I think the TFO is being discontinued. Not a bad deal if it meets your needs...

Like it or not Amazon listed them for $119 and free shipping for the #6/#8 set. https://www.amazon.com/Truglo-TRUG-Tfx-Pro-Sight-Set/dp/B018IP3WM6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492448590&sr=8-1&keywords=Truglo+TFX+Pro+SIG

I'll have to look at my old sights now. I mat be miss-remembering . I did check the truglo sights and they are not marked.
-
Pretty sure mine had a #8 front. Sig is nice enough to mark the front sights. Looking down from the top, weapon pointed away there should be a small # stamped into the top of the dovetail to the left of the blade. Double check yours... Here's a good link to sig sight info. https://www.realgunreviews.com/sig-sauer-sight-heights-sight-numbers/

I put truglo tfx pro sights on my p320 compact using just a brass drift. No big deal to do. I like the sights to. I have trijicon on another gun and like them too. I like the bright day glow insert around the front dot, and a black rear.

Now that's a whole lot a goodwill! Nice to hear about good customer service once in a while.

I'll beg to differ on its suitability for edc... I got mine in a trade years ago. It's an interesting design. Reliability is horrible on my example.

Grendel? Before the keltec p11 was the Grendel p11, before that was the Grendel p10. Nasty little gun and not in a good way. I've got one if someone is crazy enough to want it I could be talked out of it easy!

Chance to buy an older 1911 - Looking for feedback

It looks to me to probably be an arsenal refinished gun. The slide stop doesn't quite match etc. This isn't a bad thing moat of these went through that process at least once. All the parts look to be vintage, and externally it hasn't been butchered and that means a lot. If it's all period correct internally and hasn't been butchered by a hack then $1500.00 isn't too far off. The details count on guns like this for collectors. It's not likely a high end collector piece. It is truly a very cool gun. Imagine where it's been! -
Yes it releases the striker tension. It does not disengage the striker (firing pin) block so it takes a hit every time... not ,my choice on how to design a takedown system by testing another safety system every time it's disassembled. Of course good safety practices make this irrelevant. Liability lawyers making up for idiots for sure. I love the SF elite too.

If you reload this is so true. If you've got a Contender you can really get some amazing performance out of this cartridge. Ammo companies got scared of some of the cheaper guns out there and started to load on the light side to be safe... If you do t reload may e a friend does?

I'd be in for something, probably a cap as shirts usually don't fit to we'll 2x or 3x tall is the problem.
-
I was set to go, but sadly I simply don't have the time. I do look forward to making it to a future session.

The regulator will restrict more than the line. It should have a flow rating in the specs. If not then they may list the Cv (Coefficient of flow). If they give you the Cv I can calculate the max flow for you at any given pressure.
-
From a 23yr valve guy..... Just watch the max inlet pressure on that regulator. The cheaper ones can have a lower inlet rating of 150psi. If that one won't do it check with grainger or mcmaster carr. They should have one that will work for you.

Nice! I lost all my bees this winter and things have kept me from re-starting yet.... As to bear proof I can help you with the right set up for an electric fence that will work on bears. I learned the hard way... it's setup different than for livestock.

I like the Federal 165gr HST. It's in my bedside gun.
