  1. I've lived near G'burg most of my life, and avoid it as much as possible. It used to be a "decent" place to go during the off season (winter time, when school was in session) but the powers that be have made it into a year round destination. During the off season fewer people/tourists made it tolerable but some of the stores were closed. Loved to stop by the carmel corn place, my favorite. LOL
  2. Either will work fine, might consider the Savage Axis platform, caliber changes are DIY if you know which end of a screwdriver to hold if that has any interest. The Ruger barrel can be swapped out just as easy if desired.
  3. Any examples/targets of what this tack driver can do??
  4. Might try replacing one of the bricks with a piece of 2x4 to see if you still have clearance, and it won't put as much strain, if any on the HVAC duct work.
  5. Practice makes perfect???? I've heard that all my life but not a big believer in it either. LOL
  6. Flex tube will sag if it is not resting on a hard surface over time, and will become brittle as well. Mom started complaining that her dryer was working as well as it had, so I crawled under the house to see what was up. Mom had the flex tube under the floor/in the crawl space for 28 yrs, never cleaned out. (My bad) The majority of the length of the flex tubing was pretty well full of lint as a couple of the original straps holding the tubing up broke over time, and the lint started building up in the flex tubing where it started sagging from the broken hanger straps, which basically blocked the dryer vent over time, good reason for the dryer not be functioning properly. When I crawled under the house, saw what had happened with the support straps/hangers, and tried to disconnect the flex tubing to clean it out. The flex tubing just crumbled in my hands, so we had metal tubing installed in the same path, but with adequate hangers/supports. Metal tubing makes it much easier to clean the vent tubing out on a periodic basis.
  7. Look to see (if possible) that a joist brace is not in the way as this could prevent you from really determining if the "holes" line up or not. I usually clean the dryer vent that was installed in the crawl space in my house, and vents to the outside wall. The path of my 4" round tubing takes a 90* turn around a corner of the foundation blocks. In turn I have to approach the 4" tubing from both ends when cleaning. I also use some 1" pvc pipe to extend my reach with the brush I use, and use almost 20 feet of pvc pipe to reach the 90* bend in addition to the 12 feet of fiberglass tubing that attaches to the brush. I use an electric leaf blower to clear the loose lint out after running the brush from both ends. Try pushing inserting some 1" pvc pipe thru the exterior hole and see if you can get more pvc pipe in the path of the vent tubing than what you actually measure it to be or close. Might find a brace or truly determine the holes don't line up as you currently think.
  8. I've had a hybrid (Ford CMax) and it was an "ok" car, only problem was it would go into the "deep sleep" mode if you did not drive at least 2-3x's/week. The 40mpg was the good thing, fairly comfy, but on trips over 2 hrs, the seats became uncomfortable for me. A hybrid as my primary vehicle is a possibility, but not a 100% EV. Hopefully the goobermint will not go much further in their BS about EV's as the grid cannot support them, and the general public in general cannot afford them.
  9. ABRA has a youth class/division based on age, several different classes based on the firearm of choice. http://www.autobenchrestassociation.com/
  10. Local walmart near me had one of those in the "applejack" stock, which is red and gray color scheme. The zombie green would be hard to get "use to" IMO, just my $.02. LOL
  11. We got about an inch just south of you. Started around 2pm, and was still snowing (lightly) at bedtime last night. Road in our subdivision is covered, as is the driveway, did not hear much traffic out but school is out and gubermint offices still closed here, so.
  12. I don't spend too much time "here", but online, probably. LOL I have several websites I go to on a daily basis, well, 2x/day for some due to the topics/people/attitudes, etc., that I enjoy for the most part. Some of the people are annoying (just like any forum) but I usually scroll on when I see their names. If I can't sleep, or go back to sleep after a early morning whizz trip, I come into the LR and make a pot a coffee, and get online. LOL. I have lower back/hip issues, so just sitting in my easy chair is not good for me as I usually end up in with some discomfort/pain from sitting too much. The more active or movement that I get/do during the day is better for my lower back/hips, so I try and "piddle" as much as possible during the day. My piddling is controlled by the weather to some extent, or I plan around it to some extent. Bad weather days I spend a portion of the day in the "cave", trying to dig out of the mess I've created in there, or do some reloading, or research on new load development. I come out and watch a little TV, play with the wife's dog some, snack, etc., and go back in the cave. Wife prefers the weather channel, and I only watch it when one of the good looking one's is on that day. I usually control the remote, as the wife is usually absorbed in YT videos about crocheting, or actually crocheting, and always texting her twin sister. LOL She stays busy, and not #$%^'g at me, so life is good.
  13. I'll second TN Silencers. Good guys,, will help or do all the paperwork, at least they did.

I have a Crosman 302 IIRC 22 cal pellet rifle from my "younger" days. I sent it off for a complete rebuild as the seals were 50+ yrs old, etc., and neglected. I shoot it a couple times a month now to keep the seals lubed, etc. Killed a few pesky birds that didn't know to keep quiet with it too.
  15. One spammer buys your email address, and then sells it to another spammer, endless cycle, so you never get off the lists, just like my 97 y/o mother and the endless catalogs she receives. Those paper scammers kill a couple trees a day with their catalogs.
  16. The executor of the will/trust should consult the attorney representing her as executor to see what documents should be executed to legally transfer the firearms. If your sole intent is to sell them upon receipt, it may be easier to sell them in the state of domicile (MN) as part of settling the estate. She has a fiduciary duty to do everything in a legal manner, not the beneficiary.
  17. Wife got the tree out and in place yesterday but no ornaments on it yet. Light are on tho, and a few other "items" are starting to show up. We/she went thru old xmas stuff last week while I was cleaning out the shed to make room for more "stuff", so it's coming, I know. ETA: Got the ornament boxes down from storage today, wife went out to the shed to get some other ornaments and "it's starting to look like Christmas" here. She also mentioned she may take it all down before Christmas as well. LOL
  18. 7 people in a house would definitely run up the light bill. I feel for you with all the lights on, wife is home most of the time, and the lights are always on. Even the rooms she hasn't been in for 4 hours. Front door is open so the dog can look out and monitor "it's domain", no matter the temp outside, 95 or 45, it's open so the damn dog can see outside I did tint the storm door glass so that helps a little. Drapes and blinds open as well. She doesn't see the electric bill, and doesn't worry about it either. LOL
  19. VIN #'s are a matter of public record if you know how to find it, think of all the extended warranty junk mail you receive for the NEW car you bought 6 months ago.
  20. IF the gun was built on the Savage 110 action, you can buy the parts needed to rebuild just the bolt, such as the ejector and related parts, bolt head, etc. BUT you need to know what caused the damage first, otherwise you are not going to have a safe firearm.
  21. Best wishes to all, times have changed for us all as well in some form or fashion.
  22. I assume the mag is out of the rifle correct when you try to insert the bolt? Did you get the mags mixed up? I know they should be interchangeable, but sometimes those things just don't cooperate like they should.
  23. One bolt is probably not fully "cocked", tho both look to be cocked in the picture you posted. Just my guess. GL
