    S&W 686 Markings

I have a SW 686 (I think that's the model) 4" SS FBI model based on the ad way back in the mid 80's. I don't think mine has any markings like yours but not close to it at the moment.
  4. I hope David moves back up to the top soon. It can take a long time to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page...
  5. The bill of sale will/should indicate any state sales tax paid (if purchased from a licensed dealer), make sure it does, and the local county clerk should give you credit for that tax paid in another state. They don't like to, but they should. Call your local county clerk and get verification of how they handle it. I bought a Sport Trac and a Mazda 3 from 2 different dealers in Greenville SC, got credit for the SC tax I paid there (both dealers claimed they had to collect sales tax per SC laws) and local clerk gave credit. I had to argue with them on one as I had called and verified the credit process, and had the name of the person and date I talked to the local clerks office, they finally gave in. LOL.
  6. Have you tried Mahoney's?? I know they would be high $$ but with the cost of gas these days.
  7. Prairie dogs beware LOL
  8. I was trying to sell a boat/motor/trailer combo a few years ago, someone called and wanted to know if I would take a horse in trade? Told 'em nope. Cash only, no trades. LOL
  9. Should be able to search for your posts in your profile settings and go from there.
  10. Another prime example of women not listening. LOL
  11. It was the primary reason to go to sears, except when I need a fridge or washer & dryer.
  12. Read about this one on another forum. The video makes it look super easy/simple, but a bit pricey. http://grip-n-pull.com/ I've got a FA hammer style puller, it works but it's not a lot of fun. Not bad for a few, but if you need to pull a bunch, I would look elsewhere.
  13. Sounds promising, some of the reviews were a year old or so, have to get the google fu going on this. LOL
  14. That thing looks "wicked", but I like.
  15. I order on line at Cabelas and no sales tax and free shipping when possible, but guess part of that will end when & if the merger goes thru. I read on another forum where the gooberment is asking for more time to review the merger info so it's still in process I guess.
  16. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/NTESearch?storeId=6970&ipp=24&Ntt=chain+saw+accessories GL and have fun. LOL You're gonna make somebody a good little farmhand. Be careful with those chain saws, they are not particular about what they cut.
  17. You could try wearing 'em backwards, but please no pictures.
  18. Where , I mean WHERE is the concealed carry here. What is the issue here?? Everything is in plain view.
  19. Condolences for your loss. It's a rough road to travel, I've traveled several times. Sucks every trip.
  20. Welcome to the forum as well. I've got the Lee "Kit", and used it to produce some very accurate ammo for one of my rifles, so it's possible/doable. I just started the trip down the reloading rabbit hole this year as well. Take it slow, read and read some more, and hook up with an experienced reloader if possible, or take a basic reloading class to get the general ideas needed to be safe. And continue to ask questions for clarification when needed. GL
  21. PM me your # and what loads you want, will text pictures of load data to you.
  22. CFE223 is in the Hornady Handbook of Cartridge Reloading 9th edition. Listed for 50-60gr Hornady boolits, and then 68-80gr in Service Rifle Data. Also listed in the 5.56MM Nato info as well. I've used it in one bolt gun and that one gun did not seem to like it all that well.
  23. Condolences for you and your family, but best wishes for your future in NC.
  24. I remember her, doesn't that count for something?
