I had all 4 of mine removed right after I graduated high school, two at a time. Oral Surgeon indicated that the roots were wrapped around the jawbone on all 4 teeth and he had to dig/retrieve the tip(s) of the roots out of the pockets on only one or two roots. He got lucky or I did, not sure which. I was only numbed up, not put to sleep, and the only pain meds I got were a 6 pack of beer for each trip to the oral surgeon. That's what he recommended and I followed the doc's orders. I did take all of the medicine tho.

The news clip stated over 90% of the shooters in these types of incidents were men, so a female shooter is unusual.
-
CBS national news said the shooter was a female temporary employee, 3 or 4 dead counting the shooter, 3 in serious condition. She was "not known to the police" per the news. Motive unknown at this time.

So sorry for your loss. I know the feeling well, today is the one year anniversary of my Roxy passing. Roxy was a daddy's girl, didn't like not being with me either. Time will heal, but it's still a rough road to travel. Best wishes.

I used to use a 22 cal pellet rifle as a kid, would make them boys really jump at times.

The world is a better place now.

I've used Dawn and water mix with a long handled brush with some success. I've had best success with a pressure washer, but I have the beige/light tan trim & gutters. Spic and span stuff may work as well. Can also try some stuff from Dollar Tree called Totally Awesome". This stuff removed some sunbaked clear protective film & glue off of a new gas grill I bought at a salvage place with very little effort. Wife used it full strength and did not use any protective gloves, etc. with no ill effects on hands, etc. This stuff is popular with RV people for cleaning those black streaks off.

Just a FYI, taking the low dose baby aspirin MAY cause ringing in the ears which is a very annoying side effect. Every medicine has it's side effects, you have to weigh the good and bad for yourself. GL

I was out in Sturgis this past June, mainly just to say I've been there. Nothing going on except road construction. Stopped at the Buffalo Chip, it was closed but got the required pictures of the oversized V twin at the entrance, etc. Walking around the place, the majority of the place was/is a giant bar area. I have no problem with adult beverages and two wheeled vehicles, been there and done that in Daytona & Myrtle Beach. Sturgis may be tamer now than it was, can't say, but mixing a lot of one item with a little of another item usually does not come out very well. Just look at the police reports for "domestic disputes" and arguments between neighbors. Those two things just don't mix well.

Just guessing, but probably not a good idea IMO.

We used to feed our boxer canned peas (the smaller size ones) mixed in with her dry food, she loved 'em. It was so funny to watch her chase a pea or two around in her bowl trying to get that last morsel. Our boxer got a bit pudgy so the vet recommended cutting back on the dry food and mixing in the same amount of peas. She lost the weight she needed to and stayed lean but healthy. Yams or Sweet taters is another subsitute as well.

RCBS makes a concentrate for brass and one for gun parts. Don't mix the two different solutions up on items being cleaned. Not used the one for gun parts, just the one for brass, and it works pretty good.

If 223 is the caliber chosen, look more at the Ruger Predator model, the American has a pencil barrel and will heat up quickly, moving POI. The American model is good for 2-3 shot strings, then wait for it cool off even with low powder charges.

Don't bother, they will monitor low balance accts, possibly service charge it, and then in OD status, eventually close it. Or, just send a copy of the zero balance stmt to the bank with a hand written note to close, signed & dated.

I don't ride anymore, sometimes I would like another one but the "real" desire to ride is not present so I move on. I had some Suzuki 1400 and 1500"s, (2 of each), and I preferred the 1400 for it's power to weight ratio, had forward controls and Corbin seat for the comfort. I rode it alot and regret selling it every time I think about that 1400. A Gold Wing is a great bike for all day rides on wide open roads, not the twisty curvy roads I enjoy more. More a cross country bike IMO, but to each their own. I rode the GW from PCB, FL to E TN in one day on the interstate, was a pretty easy ride. I bought a new HD Road King, and did a stage 2 kit on the motor before I ever rode it, and what a bike. A good size for day trips and comfy enough (big enough) for longer trips, and two up riding. They are on the heavy side at around 800#, but comfy. Rode it to bike week a couple times, trailered it some as well. I pulled a Bushtec trailer with it as well. If I were to get serious about riding again, I would get a HD Road Glide with the "snarky" front end, just like the look. GL in your search.

Son should get a certified copy of the divorce decree and take it to the bank and see if that will satisfy their requirements for depositing the check. Or, talk to insurance agent and see if they will ACH the funds to his acct with the return of the check originally issued. While I understand not wanting to deal with/see the ex, if the son wants the $$ bad enough, drive to Chattanooga.

Anyone tried both wet methods (ultrasonic and wet tumbling)?? Which is easier??

I usually run my Honda engine dry of gas when I'm thru with it for a good while, then just add fresh gas and a bit of seafoam (it can be a stubborn thing after sitting for a few months), and it starts w/o much effort most of the time. LOL Never had to rebuild the carb, just change the oil on a regular basis.

I bought one from Northerntool 20 yrs ago for $xx, can't remember, I use it 2x's a yr to do the driveway, patio, etc., and it's been well worth the $$ spent IMO. I can do it when I have the time, stop and finish the job later if needed, etc. I do have a detached garage/shed so it's stored there, doesn't take up much room, and maint is minimal. I have bought a new handle/wand/nozzle for it, but that's it. Has a 5hp Honda pullstart motor, and 25' (?) hose. Northern Tool has 'em on sale for $300 right now. Mine is labeled NorthStar brand I believe.

x2 Look or ask around for someone experienced in estate planning. You may or may not need a full blown estate plan, but someone local with the experience can write a simple will, POA, etc., for a few dollars more. You will get exactly what you want instead of a boiler plate will that may create more confusion than anything else. Ask a local trust dept or financial advisor for a list of who they recommend, or your stock broker if you use one. they are usually running in the same social circles.

If you're looking for brass only, try brassbombers.com. I've purchased from them with no complaints, different levels of prep available from none to ready to load.

We have 2 pair here, and I believe the build their nests at SIL next door, come over here and squabble all damn day, then go back next door to sleep. Then repeat several times an hour. LOL They are fun to watch, I am amazed at how they can fly so fast, stop in 2 feet, then dive bomb another one. LOL

We had one or two a couple weeks ago, or the last warm spell we had (whenever that was), and then it turned cold and wet again. Saw one today at our feeders after the wife change the "green" water out for some fresher stuff. LOL

No more ordering knives for home delivery in UK
jpx2rk replied to JAB's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Guess they will ban automobiles as well since they drive on the wrong side of the road.
