Trench Knife headed to a new home....
jpx2rk replied to Grand Torino's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Keeping out of trouble usually is full time job for me, and seldom do I succeed in staying out of trouble. -
How many of you guys can actually state the exact # of arsenal items you have in your possession, or will you have to SWAG it, or guesstimate it, or get up and actually wonder thru every room in the house counting them as you go. I'm in the latter for the most part, but that's because I'm an old fart.

It ain't the "golden years", it's the RUST years.

Great, another update and more mass confusion, endless grumbling for at least a week. . Hey that semi-colon thing works. LOL. JK on the upgrades, it's part of life. They don't have any upgrades available for body parts that don't hurt for us old farts do they??? LOL

Your favorite press? (Non progressive)
jpx2rk replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I've got 2 LEE single stage, the oldest (early 80's is for de-priming and swaging) and the newer one has the bushing type set up for easier/faster die changes is used for re-sizing, priming and seating bullets. I don't do pistol ammo, so it's all I need. I look at the turret style but keeping it simple works for me. LOL -
Condolences and prayers. It's a rough road to travel for sure.

Can the guy not block the email notifications coming from the forum??? I miss all the good stuff/happenings around here, so I'm late to the party.

Our local electric provider is considering providing the optic fiber service, but I have no real complaints about Charter internet where I live.

Will you install all of the electronics, etc., or get someone to do that? Hope you get it done soon, and post some pics. You know we like pictures. LOL

I still wonder thru the model airplane aisle at Hobby Lobby when I take the wife there for a yarn run. P51 Mustang is my favorite, built several of them as a kid. Like the P38 Lightning as well, an odd looking plane but still cool IMO. I've thought of getting one to do but don't really have a place now to leave it out as I work on it.

New York Attorney General files suit to dissolve the NRA
jpx2rk replied to MacGyver's topic in General Chat
Please define "vast" powers that NY has, versus the powers other states have over non-profit organizations. Corruption is corruption. It only looks worse when it's a non-profit. The public's trust is lost when corruption is thrown out on the table. -
IMO,, it's a civil argument at this point in time, subject to change in the not too distant future. Enjoy your conversation/discussion, etc. etc..

@Links2k 5 more posts after you stated you didn't feel like arguing today.

New York Attorney General files suit to dissolve the NRA
jpx2rk replied to MacGyver's topic in General Chat
It seems a bit unusual to me to "dissolve" the NRA when there are allegations of corruption. The normal course is to prosecute/punish the people involved with/in the corruption first and then the organization is fined to some extent. Thinking of the Pilot Oil issue a few years back. Pilot Oil still exists, but some of those involved in the illegal acts are behind bars or trying to avoid jail sentences. Trying to dissolve the NRA is purely a political move IMO. Punish the one's who did wrong and bring in new leaders to correct this issues. -
Our hummers seem to be on the skittish side as I smoke on the screened-in porch out back where the feeder is. Unless I move very slowly, they take off from the feeder, but return soon thereafter. I was standing out on the deck this morning and one landed on the feeder and drank some, but it kept one eye on me just to be sure. LOL

Those extra years sure calmed my nerves down. I can save the tranquilizers for when the wife gets on my nerves. LOL

To hear some news organizations on the boob tube, we may not make it out of 2020.

The barter system has been around for ages, some people like or prefer that, especially when they are low on cash. I doubt if private business, persons, or organizations stop accepting paper money or coins as payment for services, especially in cities and towns. The large box stores are NOT going to switch over to the barter system anytime soon.

I'm starting to believe the libs are following the "scorched earth" theory.

Actually, the bank has to pay the armored car service to deliver the coin in bulk (bags or rolled), so it actually reduces the CU's overall operating expenses by a small amount, which is returned to the CU's customers.

+2 on your efforts. Continue the battle to be successful.

I'm just hoping all those "smart" people up north don't move down here.
