I knew they were already building one just North of ATL so getting one just a few minutes from home is a very nice surprise.

Hello from Chattanooooooga!
pitt2magic replied to TheDude_Abides's topic in New Member Introductions
Another welcome from Ooltewah. Any man who loves guns and the Big Lebowski is alright in my book. -
Very sad

My mother left me an inheritance, it isnt guns, money or Gold

Thank you for sharing this with us. I admittedly have tears in my eyes and huge lump in my throat. Cherish those letters, I would take those over any other inheritance any day. -
Signal Mountain is less than 7sq miles, basically a rich neighborhood with a history of electing libtard leaders.

Such a waste, while he has played many great roles he will always be Brad from the Big Lebowski to me.

Combat lifesavers and medical experts needed!
pitt2magic replied to a topic in Survival and Preparedness
Having tried many different shears over the years, both cheap and expensive these are the ones I use now. I think every medical guy on the team has gone to these. The coating on them keeps stuff like tape adhesive from sticking to them and gumming them up. They are also cheap enough that you can grab a few sets. http://smile.amazon.com/Prestige-Medical-Fluoride-Scissor-Black/dp/B002WJHE7E/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1391353131&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=trauma+shears -
Combat lifesavers and medical experts needed!

" On another note, of the EMTs out there, have any of you actually treated or are aware of a colleague treating a sucking chest wound with needle decompression? I'm just a knuckle dragger, but I figured that'd be something that could wait until the doc stuck a hose in the patient. " I am an ER Nurse/SWAT Medic and I agree with everything you said above. If one of my guys got stabbed or shot in the chest and I suspected a pneumo, unless I knew that transport was unavailable (which I can't ever see being the case) there is no way I would ever use this thing. Slap a chest seal on it and let the ER doctor insert a chest tube. -
Combat lifesavers and medical experts needed!

If you haven't had direct training with it, do everyone a favor and don't use it at all. It is used to reinflate a collapsed lung but if you don't know what you are doing you can easily hit an artery. -
So you want to see a picture of some of the Walmart problem?
pitt2magic replied to hardknox00001's topic in General Chat
I discussed this issue with the guy that runs the ammo counter at the Ooltewah Walmart yesterday. He honestly seemed disgusted by what these guys are doing. He told me (for what it's worth) that he approached the store's general manager and asked for permission to stagger putting ammo on the shelf through out the day in stead of all at one time at 8:00. He thought that if it was more random that these guys would not risk having to hang out there all day giving the rest of us a chance every once and a while. He was told by the manager that this was not acceptable and that all stock must be put out at 8:00. The sad part was that there was an elderly gentleman at the counter looking for .22lr, he was obviously ignorant of what was going on and that there was even a shortage on .22. I believed him since he was looking for it at 2:00 in afternoon when all the rest of us would know better. He stated that he had 4 small grandchildren that had been begging him to teach them to shoot and he was just trying to make them happy. Pretty sad and it makes me hate these assholes even more. I truly regret not getting that man's phone number and giving him a box from home. We are all in the same boat though, I have 3 kids at home that would love to go shooting every weekend but I can't even remember the last time we went due this craziness. -
Don't forget us little people when you are famous.

Been a while since I bought it but the station on E. Brainerd at Morris Hill, across the road from Publix had it. Also pretty sure the Ooltewah Ace Hardware has it.

I have been to the one in Knoxville a couple of times and have found their prices to be a bit ridiculous. They do have a ton of stuff and I guess it will be nice to have another option when looking for something you need in a hurry.

Impressive body count tonight.

Fear the Spear. The Noles beat the best the SEC had to offer so all of the butt hurt SEC fans can stop talking about strength of schedule now. Head to head, ACC won, SEC lost, bottom line. It was the most exciting championship game in a long time.

I too can appreciate a spring assist but after having this thing for a couple of weeks now, I can use the Emerson hook on the Bad Monkey and have this knife open pretty much instantly as it exits my pocket. It took a small laceration and bit of practice to get used to it but I like it.

I am another Florida transplant and have pulled for the Noles since I was a boy. I think that this article was well written. Auburn is a great team but they did beat both Georgia and Bama on freak plays just as the article stated. I thought that FSU should be the favorite for this game but I was shocked that Vegas agreed with me.

I don't know which hospital in Chattanooga or who exactly gave you that info but I can assure you that its bull crap. My wife is an ER doctor in town, I showed her your post and she listed off 6 just off the top of her head that she still refers patients to. And that's just in Chattanooga alone. I hope you find someone to take care of your family.

Deal Alert, Plano Storage Trunk
pitt2magic replied to runco's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Not on sale in Ooltewah either. Guy says each individual store decides what's on clearance. -
I am finally the proud owner of a Bad Monkey. My wife surprised me with one tonight. I love this knife and can't wait to start carrying it.

That is awesome.

I built this last Summer. Two semi truck sized gel batteries linked together with a power inverter. Each battery box has a 12v port, the inverter has multiple 110 plugs and usb ports. Both batteries stay on a battery tender as long as we have power, the solar panels are just for back up. The hand truck makes it very portable.
