  1. It may be faster while standing still on a one way range but not something I personally would want to gamble my life on while moving across uneven terrain rapidly while taking fire. To much of a risk in dropping the gun IMHO.
  2. I use Vaseline/petroleum jelly soaked cotton balls in our normal fire starting kits. These still work well as tinder, they just burn much faster than PJ soaked cotton balls. I wanted to pack these in the container loose so as to eliminate rattle. Had no way of keeping the PJ from getting on everything so I decided against it for this kit.
  3. Most comfortable I've ever held would probably have to be Kimber's Pro CDP by a small margin. After that it is a toss up, I don't tend to find too many guns uncomfortable personally.
  4. It is a little bulkier but I prefer travel soap containers as they will hold more and come in bright colors. Here is one I threw together or the wife's GHB.
  5. I can agree with that but at the same time, given his side of the story, I personally don't see that he has done anything unmoral or unethical. He was acting in good faith in that what he was doing was legal. He wasn't acting maliciously, trying to swindle money or run a scam. He was openly training people to better defend themselves after checking with his WC lawyer and DR. Yet people act as if he was out there selling crack to school kids or something.
  6. Good common sense article, like most of the stuff coming out of SI. As far as the whole issue of Mr. Suarez's credibility or what have you over his worker's comp stuff...... he isn't offering or promoting financial or income earning advise. So I don't think it has any bearing as to what he has to offer in the area of teaching weapons and tactics. As for the CCW banner... so what?? Are there not any other companies out there offering some things you don't like, or just think is silly, but have other worth decent while products or info? Do you discount everything else they sell or promote because of it?? He has a gear store and is trying to make money. If their is a market for it, then folks will buy it. If ya don't like it, then don't buy it. That simple really.
  7. We just recently bought a house on 10 acres in Hamilton County(Harrison). How do they define "farmland" in the landowners license exemption? Also, am I reading it correctly that bag limit for deer is 3 antlered and 1 antlerless per season? Thanks in advance.

  10. LDS Food Storage Calculator - enter the number of people in the age range you are wanting to prep for and it gives you the LDS minimum suggested food to be stored. Honeyvillegrain is a good source for some long term storage food. Their shipping price is one of the best I seen($4.49 flat rate regardless of quantity ordered). If you are just getting started or looking for some good ideas on what food to store I highly recommend ]"]this book. Tells you what to store, has various figures/formulas to help estimate how much to store and has many different breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert recipes that are made from your food storage items.
  11. Powder and primers come from Sportsman's Warehouse and bullets from https://secure3.mooseweb.com/montanagoldbullet.com/pricelist.tpl
  12. I find the appendix carry position to work well for me. It was a little uncomfortable at first but I found that if I reclined the seat back just a little all the discomfort went away. Very quick and easy access, just make sure you remember to pull cover garments out from under the lap belt.
  13. Congrats on your new pistol Superman, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've had a few Sig's in the past and several Rugers(including the P95DC) as well. If concealability was a major factor in selection then I would go with the Sig P6/225. If not then I would probably opt for the P95. If a Sig 228 or 229 had been a third choice, I would choose that over both of them regardless of whether concealability was in issue or not.
  14. I've been wanting to do the same thing with a Glock 35 as a base gun for a couple years now. I had a Glock 23 with a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel that I constantly kick myself for getting rid of. One of them things i reckon...
  15. Thanks again everyone for the kind welcoming. I certainly appreciate it.
  16. Thanks all.
  17. Hello every one, I just found this forum last night. I've lived in Hamilton County for a year now. Shoot at Prentice Cooper mostly. Looking forward to being a regular here. High Regards, Jon
