Maybe this is where Lumber_Jack got his info? A friend of mine asked me to watch it, and with this snow and cabin fever starting I'd thought I'd see what it was all about. Thanks, but I could not bare the thought of listening to a podcast about it lol.

My buddy just got his pickup full for $60. My uncle helped him so he may have gotten a deal. Thanks, good idea on craigslist.

Ironic how the media we watch and see can reflect our opinions. I hear ya though, dude did throw the family cat in a fire when he was young! Where did you get your other info? I guess the jury heard about all this?

I love that analogy! Hathcock should run for president! I agree 110% about not talking to police. Nothing personal to any officer of the law, I'm very grateful and thankful for their services, and know they have a hard job. I know 2 highway patrolman and a handful of Washington and Unicoi county deputies, all are great men. It's reassuring for me to know that they are good cops out there too.

The whole thing was just too fishy for me to wrap my head around to be completely honest...I'm not a very smart man lol. But I do wonder why a guy, that just spent 18 years for a crime that he was proven innocent for, would get out and even want to brake the speed limit? Like you said above, he isn't the smartest apple on the tree, but he does seem fairly normal and harmless. And besides, who like prison? Avery seemed like he had everything going for him when he got out. I believe the authorities had it out for him from the start. You'd think with all this technology we have these days, that we'd have a sure fire method of proving if a man was telling the truth are not. Maybe in the next 18 years will find out.

I need to break down and buy a couple of the average ones your talking about and keep em' in a shooting bag that I also need to purchase :grouchy:.

Has anyone seen this on Netflix? Its a rollercoaster ride, and still leaves me scratching my head. What do y'all think of ole Steven Avery?

I was just wondering how much firewood is going for in other areas? A big pickup truck load around here goes for about $120. So, I'm guessing about $250 for a full cord (4'x4'x8'). Thanks y'all...

Lol, me experienced? I'm just trying to get the green from behind my ears off...

Good eye. I'm guilty as charged, we had our excuses not to wear them (mainly we couldn't see out of the dang things it was so cold and they were badly scratched), but you are VERY right. I was wondering who would point it out. That guy in the video had it coming for him~ just my .02. Definitaly a lucky guy, but his hat not so lucky lol. I will definalty show my buddy the video you shared and let him realize that we were lucky that day. Any recommendations on a good pair of glasses? Ive always had cheap plastic ones i end up wearing to work and messing up...

Any suggestions on how to ship a scope?
Mwhiskey replied to ehull20000's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
My wife ships some items sometimes, mostly Ebay stuff. She keeps a good rep and happy customers using USPS "priority mail" with "tracking". I would bubble wrap and nest the boxes too. To save some $ I would try to check out a local hardware store maybe score on any unused boxes and wrap/foam. Maybe a construction dumpster too... I work construction and can't believe what goodies are thrown away! -
He liked shooting a 12 gauge shotgun, even though it was almost dark and almost to darn cold...too cold for the ladies lol, maybe next time. Started him out using birdshot on the paper targets...but this the was his first slug. His face, hahaha! Once again, an epic outing.

My family gets together quite often. Next time we all get together I'll have my .22's out slinging lead for sure! Many in my family have grown up around guns, but at the same time grown out of them too. I can't wait for my friend to shoot my 12 gauge-hopefully tomorrow! There is a little angel on one side of my head saying, "be nice, just put birdshot in it", and then there's that little devil on the other side saying, "turkey load, TuRkey LOAD!"

Haha, he plays videos games abunch, so I must say I was worried about that happeing! We didn't shoot off a rest, but he still kept in the target at 20 yards. At 50 yards he missed the target some but still had some good hits. He was all over the place with the 9mm at first with the target set at 10yards. After about 15-20 rounds he got the hang of it and started getting on paper. He already says he needs and wants to improve his pistol accuracy!! I think we have a new case of "TN mountain shooting fever" on our hands boys...he's got it and its spread to his ole lady :hyper:

She was not there that day...after hearing him talk about how fun it was she wanted to go too! Hopefully tomorrow, good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.
