Very nice but it makes me think of a classic proverb. Never keep all your eggs in one basket.

They can get squirrely when going across a slope. My best advice is don't go slow, keep up the momentum and the down hill side will need slightly more speed than the uphill side. I'm in no way saying this is safe and that I recommend doing this just saying it can be done. There is a limit to how steep of a hillside this will work on. I think they say to avoid anything more than 10-15 degrees of slope. If the grass is the least bit wet be very careful or better yet don't even attempt it. Once you start spinning and sliding down hill it's near impossible to stop until you hit bottom. Sometime whats at the bottom of a slope will not have a pleasant ending when you do stop. In my case it was a creek and yes I ended up in it.

What Sam1 said and there are several DIY rigs that are much less expensive that are nothing more than an over priced roller to add to your mower to get really good stripes.

If you keep the blades sharp it will cut at this speed too. I have a large yard and spent at least 2.5 - 3 hours every time I cut it with a 52" Cub Cadet lawn tractor mower. Since I purchased a 61" Badboy I can have it cut in under 2 hours and it looks better than it ever looked with the lawn tractor style mowers.

Yep, and that's a fact Jack!

I really like that. Are the grips OEM?

Spam can ammo - Do I need an opener????
MP5_Rizzo replied to Ronald_55's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
While the rubbing on concrete or using a file around the edges are fine if you are really desperate, I'm not there yet. Are you sure you don't already have a spam ammo can opener? Have you checked in your kitchen drawers? One of these work just like the stamped metal opener. I have one of the new clean edge can openers in my kitchen that I use more than any other can opener these days. I have not tried it because I'm not ready to break the seal on any of my spam ammo cans still sealed. By laying the clean edge opener on top of the spam ammo can (as I would a food can) it looks like it would open one just like it would open the spam can just fine. The one I have looks like the one below which happens to be a Pampered Chef product. -
Nice glass panel but why no right seat stick?

I think these guys may be a little farther advanced than Iran in the space race.

Not sure how your going to protect this. If your going to the trouble to construct something up there most that have a survival mentality would think you have something worth fighting over in an TEOTWAWKI situation. Chances are good I could come across an oxy /acetylene torch. If I can find that, chances are good I will find some plate steel to make an armored something to get me in long enough to have you tumbling down faster than the big bad wolf and a straw house. I'm quite certain the following post were made in fun but if you were serious you better be coming up with a plan B. I will admit this would be full on in the fun category for a while but, in reality chances are slim you will find one. That is unless you happen across a location of a recent Monster Jam these thing are few and far between. Not to mention they will not go to far on a tank of fuel. These things really are 1 gallon or more per mile. In addition you will be announcing your arrival from several miles away. I would think stealth would be an import method of operation in such times. While this has a lot in common with the monster truck it will run a long time when the tanks are topped off. Current low sulfur diesel fuel has a horrible useful life when untreated. Once again though, few and far between and in some areas practically non-existent.

My first thought is, has your wife ever had a 1 hour (one way) commute to work? One hour that you drive on weekends or evening may turn into a 1.5 (more or less) during early and late rush hours. Commuting seems like a great trade off to get out of the city life for some initially but after time they really regret it.

I don't know why it was designed this way but my first gut instinct is that it may be the result of a particular group of American lawyers than vino soaked Italian gun designers. I have not researched this but does using the striker deactivation button release the striker spring tension with out the striker being able to hit the primer of a live round if one were in the chambered. If so, there's your answer. Not trying to derail the thread but it does seem to be something I'm quit proficient at. Speaking of Italians loving their Vino. During the Annual ATA Grand American visiting vendors row is always fun. One that I never pass up is the Perazzi shop. Does not matter how early I've been in there I've sales reps and gunsmiths with a glass of vino in their hand or near them, I've even been offered a glass. I kid you not!

This guy makes it look quite easy starting at 4:24 in this video.

Mostly an FYI and curious if anyone else has experience with Maxxtech I have a shooting friend that started reloading metallic case ammo earlier this year. He's well seasoned in shot shell reloading so the learning curve was minimal but of course, he made the usual Uhh Ohhs we all make at first and then occasionally along the way due to negligence or just momentary lack of undivided attention. Not that it really matters what kind of press he has but it's a Dillon 650XL. So after a couple of months of rolling along and reloading everything he can get his hands on he gives me a call. He tells me that on the the upstroke, as you push the down, he could hear (a distinct sound on a Dillon if you have one) the spent primer pop out of the case being resized and then everything locked up. So I tell him he has a stuck case and believe it or not his first one since he started loading about 4 months ago. Now I know he's using carbide resizing dies and I know he cleans his brass before reloading so I said don't do anything else I want to see it. When I get there I put a little extra force on it just shy up ripping the rim off and or deforming the shell plate and yep, it's stuck. I unscrewed the decapping rod and removed it and put a punch down in it and started tapping with increasing intensity and about when I thought we needed to try another method it budged a little and a few more taps and it was out. Visual inspection of the case and it looked normal and very clean. I looked at the head stamp and I initially thought it said Magtech which I know I've reloaded some and never had a problem with. When I looked down into the mouth of the case it looked as if the inside was sleeved about half way up the inside so my first thought was that it was short stroked when it was press formed but slipped through QC. Then after thinking about that a minute I thought that can't be. The inside of the case was too well formed with the cavity going down to the flash hole being perfect. Then I look at the head stamp and I realize it is not Magtech but MaxxTech. I've seen it in the ammo cabinets at retail stores and in catalogs but never had any experience with it. So today with a little help from the interwebz I know a little more about it. I found several reference like the one I cut and pasted below. This one came from Cast Boolits and was posted in September of 2016 SAFETY ALERT!! ........Maxxtech 9mm Brass Be alert for 9mm brass carrying the "MAXXTECH" headstamp!! This boxer primed brass is apparently Russian production, and from the outside looks like good, reloadable brass. The problem is on the inside: .....These cases feature a .035" thick internal sleeve that serves to both reinforce the case in the head area, and to prevent bullet set-back. This sleeve comes to within .210" of the case mouth, and is easily seen during a case inspection. This sleeve constitutes a safety issue because it SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the available case volume: .....And as a consequence, ANY powder charge that would duplicate a factory load in a normal case will produce perilously high pressures in the MAXXTECH brass. I am sure that with a proper powder charge, this brass might be a great idea: .....But none of the published 9mm data should be used in this brass! Please watch for this stuff!! The picture above was with the post and appears that the case is cracked in about the 2 o'clock position. With the internal sleeve made into this case I find it hard to believe someone could resize with any success then reload it to have to worry about reduced case capacity and a kaboom but then again, just about anything is possible once. I just looked at the MaxxTech website and they currently are not showing any boxer primed 9mm in their product. I think we know why!

I've seen just about every kind of home grown contraption imaginable when it comes to annealing brass. Some as simplistic as a single propane torch and a cordless drill to those with dual torches and all kinds of improvised motorized set ups that required a great deal of engineering and construction. I received an email blast from Creedmoor sports this morning and low and behold the most high tech brass case annealer I think I've ever seen. To say the least it's pricey but if you want perfectly annealed brass every time this is the machine to do it. It even says so in it's name. Creedmoor Sports Annealing Made Perfect.

Yes he does. If he was normal, he would have left there with a bipod and the rifle.

Will you make left and right holster for both of them so you can swap sides occasionally to keep you walking straight when you carry both of them?

Looks like the only way to purchase is from their list of three dealers they provide links to.

Using imfdb a Seekins Precision rifle first appeared in season 5 for 5 of the episodes. The picture shown below is of Sasha in episode 7 of season 5 using a suppressed Seekins Precision rifle. Seasons 6 had 9 episodes where the same Seekins Precision rifle is credited as appearing. The picture below from Episode 8 of season 6 shows Maggie with with the best view of the rifle. In the list of firearms credited in season 7 there is not a Seekins Precision listed as of now and clicking on all the ones that are listed I can't find one the resembled the one used by Daryl in the (lame IMHO) season 7 finale. I don't know how often imfdb is updated so I will keep a watch on it and update here if and when the rifle in question shows up. The one that I really got a chuckle over was the MAC-10 having the optic mounted on the suppressor. Totally useless in my opinion but I guess TV and movie cool. According to imfdb this weapon was inspired by the one used by Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) in the film Escape from New York. So now you know.

I'm thinking if these guys furnish a few pizzas and put those conveniently shaped hail stones to good use and chill some adult beverages we'll have several TGO members will show up and have that cleaned up in no time. Then again, they may really need a gofundme page by then!

Bottom line is, a well placed shot with any of these 9mm, .355 or .356 nominal bullet diameter cartridges and it will be a good self defense round, PERIOD.
