  1. Up until a few years ago I and a few college buddies did an annual fishing trips in the North Georgian Bay area of southern Ontario. I know they see a lot of people from the US being so close to the border but just about any Canadian I came in contact with had a way better knowledge of anything US than I did of about Canada.
  2. I had a few little young ones occupying my time during the Nashville Knights, Nighthawks and Ice Flyer years so needless to say I didn't hardly do any extracurricular activities in those days.
  3. If you are that much of a die hard hockey fan then I bet there is a good chance we may have sat in the Municipal Auditorium at the same time at a Nashville South Stars game before there was an NHL Predators team. I attended as many of their games as I could back then. Before the Nashville South Stars (1981-83) there were the Nashville Dixie Flyers (1962-71). I may have attended one of their games but can't say for sure. I just remember going to a game in the late 60's - early 70's with a scout group and that could have been 1 of 3 states as I was a military brat. The only thing I remember is there was lots of blood on the ice and side boards by the time game was over. No face mask or helmets in those days and so lots of cut up faces whether from normal action or the all out fist to cuff brawls.
  4. I remember those! They actually came in 3 colors.
  5. ....and make a killing selling these shirts! I FIFY
  6. I have no clue what NHL rules are and I could google them but if it is permissible I would sure incorporate a catfish into the team jerseys or a sticker on the helmet would be awesome!
  7. Only available on records, cassettes or CD's? I was hoping for 8 tracks! I still have and 8 track stereo stashed somewhere.
  8. I was a whooping 7 years old at that time. My father had returned home from his 1st tour of Nam and he was reassigned to Shaw AFB near Sumter, SC. This was my first experience with base housing so I have quite vivid memories of it. At my age then, I was more in awe by the event that happened about a month prior to Woodstock, Apollo 11 and "The Eagle Has Landed". I can remember to this day watching the black and white TV with images of the first moon walk. I was on the folded out hide a bed couch in our living room because I guess my parents knew it was a big deal so my sister and I got to stay up late and watch it. I was constructing a model of the lunar module, you know the punch out pieces of card stock paper, fold on the dotted line and insert tab "A" into slot "B" and you know rest. They were giving them away at the GULF filling station with a fill up of Good Gulf or something like that. As for Woodstock I was too young to even know it was happening at the time. I'm sure I had to have been exposed to something on TV or been around people talking about it but at that time I was clueless. I do remember listening to many of of the artist that were at Woodstock, whether it being the lifeguards playing it on the radio at the base pool or the GI's blaring it from their barracks as mom drove by in our all white 1968 4 door Chevrolet Impala with that gosh awful red vinyl interior. My music preferences were without a doubt influenced by the music of the younger generation and the whole Age of Aquarius movement. My father loved his big band music and Hank Williams Sr., so if he was home or in the car none of that hippie music, as he called it, was going to be played while he was around. The 60's and 70's , I'm glad I got to be a part of that time, there were good and bad things happening then and in the big picture nothing has changed. Good and bad things are happening today but it seams like I could navigate life with much more ease if things now, were more like they were then.
  9. I think all of my other TGO knives were #23 so if that's still available I would like that number.
  10. Okay, so it seems the opinions here are inconsistant but like I've said there are post that state that previous wording of Tennessee laws state that suppressors were illegal. So just answer me this, since Tennessee passed the recent law on Suppressors were they legal or illegal according to the previous wording?
  11. Dolos comment and I've seen the same thing said in other threads here that supressors were actualy illegal under previous Tennessee law but owners used the defense of Federal Regs. My question was about states that ban NFA items. Why would residents of those states not do the same as far as owning NFA items even if there state bans them.
  12. So basically what your saying is Federal Law trumped State Laws in Tennessee if I'm understanding this correctly. So why are are there still states that ban NFA items and residents don't use the same principal. I'm sure I may be over simplifying this but just thought of this in light of Tennessee decision to legalize them.
  13. Not offended at all and thanks for the correction. I knew it was the week after Labor day and I thouhgt it was on Monday but I see now it was Tuesday. I may not have remembered the exact day of the week but many other things of that day are very vivid. Thanks again!
  14. It was a Monday morning and I went into work early. I also remember it was one of those cool low humidity early Fall like mornings. An employee walked in the back door and said some fool just flew a plane into the World Trade Center. First thing I thought was something like a Cessna or a Piper 2 or 4 seat something and didn't really give it much attention as I had things to do. Then I noticed the regular radio talk was all over it and it was no small plane we searched for and old TV we had in a storage room and proceeded to watch them topple. We ended up not getting much work accomplished that day.
  15. If someone gave me tickets I would be there even seats up there next to cell block 303. Terrorist be damned and the fact of the matter the riskiest part of going to a game would probably be driving there and back. However I really enjoy watching the games from the comfort of my recliner on my 60" inch TV. I can pause and rewind to my hearts content and no line to wait in if I need to visit the restroom.
  16. I'm totally satisfied with every pistol I own. Whether it be the Ruger Mk II .22, my Colt Government Model, my Sigs, Smiths, Springfields and even the 2nd Gen Glock 22 that I thought I just had to have 30 plus years ago. Probably the only Glock I will ever own as I'm without a doubt not a fan of them. The one thing I would like to find are some of those magazine they use in the movies. You know, the ones that fit flush to the bottom of the magwell but they hold like 100 or more rounds, yeah those! Surely they exist but apparently just the bad characters and a few good ones have access to them.
  17. Glad to see it burned itself out and no major damage done. After seeing videos of those shells I knew that what happened to you is exactly why I never got any. I've shot some crazy stuff but by the time these things came out I had gotten all that out of my system.
  18. Doesn't really matter just curious. Over the years I've had the privilege to coach several National Championship teams from Tennessee at the 4-H Invitational and the National BB Gun Championship Matches and I will say by far the number of all female teams usually did better and where far more easier to coach. You should be proud and keep challenging her with similar rewards. For mine it was equipment upgrades. The latest and greatest range gear and rifles didn't necessarily make them better but they felt good because they thought they looked good. If you feel good you shoot good!
  19. Yep, that's a Ruger 10-22 trigger group sticking out of the bottom. I've been next to a real to a MG42 in action. Saying they have a fast cyclic rate is an understatement. I caught the Mosin fever a few years back but nothing to your extent.
  20. Very, very Nice! It's not hard to notice one of these is much unlike the others. Tell me you had another room full of those and this one was overflow.
  21. I had no idea, 22 distinct dialects in Italy.
  22. I'm willing to bet this small arms expert voted for Hillary.
  23. I just looked around and found there are not too many of these up for sale. The ones I did find are in a totally different league price wise. You did VERY WELL! Good for you, I hope it's a shooter.
  24. Being a 4-H Rifle coach in Tennessee I'm curious as to what her scores were?
  25. i think the little turd made his own liver extra slurry, no Socom required.
