  1. Visual reference from post above.
  2. Wonder if it occurred to anyone that the chain drive was a little vulnerable.
  3. Senator A.B. "Happy" Chandler sure looked a lot like Lou Costillo.
  4. Well that's slick. I may have put one on my wish list in a few months!
  5. Happy 4th and love the ammo can boom box. Did. You make it or buy it?
  6. One more of Bonnie Parker.
  7. Who is the guy on the right? Or is he what? I don't know!
  8. I could find no information other than the lady is holding a sporterized Mauser.
  9. I was wondering the same thing about the chain. Looks like the little tike has a classic Red Ryder, Not sure what gramps has but I like it.
  10. Congrats on your acquisition! I too have one of these and can't for the life of me remember when I shot it last. It will eat some ammo faster than you can say where did all my .45 ACP go! Here is the one thing I'm getting really serious about picking up. http://www.max-11.com/ Slow fire upper receiver for the M-10/45 SMG. Reduces the rate of fire (ROF) from 1,000 RPM to around 750 RPM. Features a full length accessory rail on the top and integrated foregrip with accessory rail on bottom. Mounting points on sides for additional accessory rails. Side cocking, reciprocating charging handle on left side. Designed for use with removeable AR-15/M-16/M-4 sights (not included), or can be used with just a scope installed. Comes complete with upper receiver, bolt assembly, cocking knob, barrel and manual. Drop-in assembly requires no modification to your lower receiver.
  11. Really common stuff used by competitive pistol shooters. By the way the ladies have the sights lined up on their dominant eye I think it would be safe to assume all them were quite proficient im at the sport in their day.
  12. I cant help but wonder what sort of due diligence made them think this was a good idea? Maybe they want to get rid of non-paying users, if so they will be quite successful.
  13. Is this an immediate action or will start at a future date? . I have photos that are still showing up here and I don't have a paid account.
  14. Here's a clip from a 2010 Guns and Ammo Magazine about the million dollar Luger. What do you see wrong with it? In the film Wall Street, entrepreneur Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) takes his rival, Sir Larry Wildman (Terence Stamp), on a tour of his mansion, to include his gun collection, where he reaches into the glass case, removes a handgun and says, “Rarest piston in the world—the .45 Luger.” Read more: http://www.gunsandammo.com/reviews/would-you-shoot-the-million-dollar-luger/#ixzz4lKdw5MJJ
  15. It's going to look something like these.
  16. Me too except I will be in Ohio for the SASP / SCTP national Championships.
  17. Marmots tend to have a longer and bushier tail than what we see in the average ground hog in these parts. I have no idea if marmots are even native to east Tennessee.
  18. More specifically an 18 groove forearm 32"barrel. Probably a mid to late 1920's vintage model
  19. I think I would have note of the make, model and license plate number.
  20. Open day no sooner started and shooters were called off the line due to lightning. After a 2 1/2 hour weather delay shooting resumed. Naturaly everything was running behind due to the delay The last squads shooting doubles was on a nonlighted field and when they started their second 50 pair it was way past sunset and impossible to see the birds. Several people in UTV's turned on the lights so shooters and scorer could see the birds. I was in a shoot off for handicap sub-Vet winner and finished the day at 9:45 pm. Back now for day 2.
  21. Any other trapshooters here going to compete in this? I will be shooting all 4 days so maybe we we could possibly arrange a meet up. Click here for this years program
  22. I was really good with it too! After this incident I lived like a King.
  23. Kind of hard to ask him since he's on the south side of the grass but I get what you're saying. I had a long time classmate and college roommate that was the epitome of health. Active athlete and having an occasional beer was his only vice. He dropped dead of a heart attack at 44 years old. You never know!
  24. By what looks like rust it would be a something made of steel. I would think if it had been kicked up by lawn mower it would have a freshly defined nick in it somewhere. So here's another possible scenario for consideration. When I was a youth I had a wrist rocket or better known as a high tech sling shot. They still make them and I'm sure they are better than when I was a kid. This object appears to be perfect size and shape for wrist rocket ammo. It is possible for this thing to have travel well over a hundred yards from such device.
  25. Genetics and just plain old luck (or statistical probabilities) works in mysterious ways.
