  1. Good point. Denuded round or not, you could spray a target with enough rounds, it would most certainly ruin the day, stop whatever action was taking place and head to cover. Be good in a civilian situation, not so much military. Prolly why it never went anywhere... But think of the squirrels you could bring home!
  2. Jeeezuz, killing me! Got the 4in barrel and love it.
  3. Facemasks and those Balaclava things are pretty good (they make some neoprene masks that are not so 'burglar' looking, try searching for snow-mobile wear.) Honestly a deep hood, that provides some side protection to the winds works wonders. I used to grow a beard, but all the grey made me feel too old!
  4. https://100percentfedup.com/armed-lyft-hero-shoots-carjacker-with-rifle-as-he-steals-his-suv-then-shoots-driver-of-getaway-car-video/ Link says it all! City of brotherly love!
  5. And really, thats 'the answer' (short of revolution). See the story about the San Fran store owner tired of all the theft (since they stopped arresting people who steal up to 950 dollars worth of stuff)? Everything in the store is marked up to $951, and there are free coupons at the register that discount to regular prices. Work within their system to stick your middle finger in their eye!!! One carrot for sale, $500, free Glock26 included for any purchaser willing to show me a state pistol carry permit.
  6. muuuust resist....... GLWS, looks like a hoot to shoot!
  7. Something similar happened when I was a teen living in NY. Travel hockey leagues are big up North.... Man from Michigan was in-town with his son for a tournament, staying in cheap motel (read: bad part of town), Dad had a pistol with him (verbotten in NY), shot his kid dead at 4 am when he came back from getting a bucket of ice. Never any charges filed (the pistol w/o a permit got press), remember thinking at the time no way I could have lived with myself after that, and that was before I had kids of my own. Honestly one of those stories I always remember whenever I pickup a gun. Makes my hand quiver for a brief second (Devils right hand.... rings thru my head, too). Cannot imagine the pain. While I wholeheartedly disagree, stories like these make anti-gun activists.
  8. Good grief.... The police report lists 'society' as the victim. Someone's going to have to explain to me how 'society' was harmed by two adults mutually agreeing to enter into an exchange. Oh right, 'without a license': the state didn't get their cut/bribe.
  9. you gotta try the right kind.. serious. I was introduced to some of Mrrrrysvilles best a few years back, was good stuff, I will admit.
  10. LOL! I've tried a few pricey bottles, but honestly, after training my liver on 750ml bottles with a good buddy, you can't beat The Glenlivet 12 year. 40 bucks, with 2 tumblers and a gift box. Get one of those and a glass of ice, it'll make you a fan.
  11. Scag makes a nice mower. I went with an Exmark 36" walkbehind for my place because I was familiar with that model. GLWS.
  12. Not really.... Embedded in every photo your phone takes is a bit of info called "EXIF data". It includes your cell number, gps coordinates, phone serial number and all sorts of other nifty (useful) information. There are apps and services on the web that will remove it, but I've been told even then there is still some info accessible to the right people. Yep, reason 12,579 I have a tinfoil hat. They don't tell you about how they're tracking you (unless they get caught), and even try to stop you from preventing it. Nothing says 'trust me' quite like that.
  13. Chattanooga Whiskey is doing some nice things. I've had a couple of their offerings.
  14. Christmas Eve we had a traditional German dinner of Weisswurst, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and green beans. Good stuff... Thanks Mom! Christmas day was turkey and all the fixings! Surprised we didn't have to pump the septic tank...
  15. It IS 100% USRDA of Vitamin C!
  16. When I worked in the produce biz there was literally a bump in salad volume 6 weeks before Memorial Day. Managers all called it swimsuit season.
  17. https://homemadeguns.wordpress.com/2021/12/11/gun-maker-arrested-in-saxony/ Some neat pics at link. Be curious to learn more about his design, LOL!

  19. Glad to see there's something in the water. I've yet to find my hidey-hole on the lake (live near Paint Rock side)....
  20. Hey man, likewise happy to help! I'm in Kingston. Currently loading 9mm. Just got some used equipment, might be able to get you a press. If you can find primers, the rest should be fairly easy. Just be prepared to pay. - Kevin
  21. This. My understanding has come down to this: your body is a simple machine. Calories in - calories burned = = 0, you stay the same. >= 0, you gain weight. <= 0, you lose weight. Tip whatever side of the scale suits your fancy. When I do both, pounds come off quick. A Peanut butter jelly sandwich and an apple for lunch WILL get you through (I work a physical job, am 6'4" 250 lbs). That 2400 calorie Firehouse® Steak and Cheese combo sure is tasty, but... That was JUST lunch???!! And you hit Hardee's for a biscuit and taters with a coke for breakfast? The math is right there, ballpark it to the nearest 100 calories, you'll figure it out real quick.
  22. That's a tough way to make a buck, brother. Did it for a short while driving the chipper truck for a guy here. Really gotta know your stuff.
  23. Of course, it's deer season!
