As someone who has worked in transportation for a very long time for multiple companies (including FedEx), I can tell you that most of the issues people have are terminal specific. In other words, the service depends greatly upon the personnel at the facilities through which the freight/packages move. Every different company runs a very similar system to every other. The people are what make most of the difference; however, every company is going to have issues and mistakes and damages and lost freight, etc. As long as human beings are involved, there will be human error. I have had separate customers on the same route serviced by the same driver both hate us and love us. One guy thinks we are the worst carrier in the world, but his neighbor just down the street thinks we are the best. That is just the nature of the business. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I don't own one but I have shot them. Most people don't like them because they are a double action only hammer fired gun, which means it has a long trigger pull. Personally, I thought the trigger was really good on it, but I shoot a lot of revolvers and really like that kind of trigger. If I had any complaint about the trigger, it might be that it is too light, because I had a few light strikes that day at the range. The guy that had it said that it had a lot of rounds through it though and he thought the spring might have gotten weak. Anyway, the only other complaint I had was that, like many SIG's, it has an extremely high bore axis. This was not a problem as far as recoil or control, I just don't personally like the slide being that tall. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

If possible, find someone you know that reloads and get them to walk you through the basics. It will make what you are reading much more easy to understand. Barring that, or in addition to it, watch a bunch of YouTube videos of people reloading. This is just to better illustrate the process. Don't necessarily take anyone's word for what is right though. Always stick to published data. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I have been playing guitar for a long time and have several amps, some very powerful and fairly high priced. However, almost without fail when I sit down to play or practice, or even write and record ideas at home, it is my Fender Mustang I that I plug into. I love that amp. It has great tones, has a lot of effects, and is plenty loud for a bedroom. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

It is hammer fired, but the hammer is fully cocked when the action is cycled. It is roughly the same size as the original, but feels a little meatier in the hand. The trigger pull is short and crisp.

I think Hetfield is a hunter too, so he would hopefully be pro-gun. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I shot one of the Gen 2 R51's at the range last week. It wasn't bad, but it was nothing ground shattering either. It functioned flawlessly and seemed decently accurate. The two main drawbacks were the takedown, which is horrendous, and how badly the grip safety under the beaver tail pinched my hand. It felt like really bad hammer bite from a 1911. After 50 rounds my hand was red and raw. A couple of other guys at the range reported the same issue as well, so it wasn't just me. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

32 S & W long would definitely be the cheapest of the 4 cartridges the LCR will fire. You should be able to find it under $20/box.

Who EDC a Spare Pistol Mag IWB?
Preacher357 replied to MuscleHead's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I have used mag carriers on my belt, etc, but I have found that I like the snagmag pocket carrier the best. It just slips in your left side (or right if you prefer) front pocket and is easily accessible and it just looks like you have a knife or something clipped in. -
Probably because they seem to be much more prevalent in West TN rather than Middle or East, which is what you would expect if they came up from FL.

That article also mentions coyotes and armadillos. Coyotes have been here as long as I can remember, but the armadillos are something new. I had never even seen one until just a few years ago, and now those nasty rascals are everywhere. They have actually replaced possum as the #1 road kill around here now.

The one I saw was just south of Trenton. I know guys that have seen them in Crockett county between Humboldt and Alamo as well. They have been spotted in Obion and Lake county also, which means they are all over West TN. I don't consider them much of a danger though. As far as wild animals go, the half breed coyotes are probably the biggest threat around here. Like you said though, the real danger are the two legged animals we have around here.

My R1 has been pretty good as long as I don't use the mags that came with it. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

That picture may not be genuine, but I saw a cat that size and color about 24 years ago in Gibson County (West TN). They are definitely in the state. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

A SCCY CPX-2 (or CPX-1 either). I actually am quite fond of the gun...when it is working. It has great capacity for its size, carries well, and is surprisingly accurate for what it is. I even like the long double action trigger because I am more of a fan of revolvers than semi autos anyway. Unfortunately I have had one for about 8 months now and have had multiple issues with it. So far I (or SCCY) have replaced the extractor, ejector, frame pins, firing pin, main spring, and trigger bar. In fact, when the firing pin broke, they replaced the entire slide assembly. Now it has started not wanting to reset consistently. I believe this is because the trigger reset spring has gotten weak and needs to be replaced. In other words, pretty much everything on the gun other than the barrel and frame have been changed now, and it is still not right. A couple of these happened in the first month I had the pistol, and then it ran flawlessly for about 4 or 5 months afterward. During that time I was carrying it and training with it regularly and really liked it. Unfortunately, that did not last. At around the 3500 - 4000 round mark, it just started falling apart. I stopped carrying it a few months ago as a result. I know guys on the forums that have had these for years without any issue, so maybe I got a lemon, or maybe it was just not designed to handle the round count that I put through it. I am sure most people that buy a SCCY probably don't shoot them that much. However, any gun that I carry I want to be able to train and shoot regularly. I want to have plenty of experience with it if it is going to be on my side. For that reason, I don't think I would trust the SCCY as a carry gun any longer.

Just look at my icon. My Talo 686+ 3" is my favorite gun.

Belt Suggestions for IWB
Preacher357 replied to josh.mcdonald's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
The TrakLine gun belts from Kore are awesome. http://www.koreessentials.com/gun-belts/. The Yankee Marshal recommended them, so I tried them and have not been disappointed. The TrakLine system is better than a belt with holes and you can buy one buckle and two different color belts at the same time. They aren't cheap, but in my opinion they are worth the money. Polls can be manipulated by the way the sampling is done. As a result, I never trust any that I see from either side. Honestly, I have a hard time buying the 90% figure considering none of the guys I know who have guns support more regulation. You would expect with that level of supposed nationwide consensus that I would at least be able to name one, even within a small circle of people. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Another good inexpensive option for a truck gun might be an SKS. You can usually pick those up in the $300-$350 range. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I was about to post the same thing, but you beat me to it.

The last one at the Agricenter that I went to was in December and there were practically no reloading supplies there. I think I bought some brass and that was about all I found. Honestly, I have not found reloading components at many gun shows at all unless David Mosley is there. He was in Jackson the last show we had, but somehow I doubt he will be in Memphis since there is a show this weekend in Lebanon as well which is a lot closer to home for him. I hope I am wrong though, because I think I am going down in the morning and his prices are generally hard to beat.

Have they quit making .22WMR? UPDATE: NOW IN THE WILD
Preacher357 replied to seez52's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Here in West TN .22 LR has become pretty easy to come by. Almost all of the gun shops have it now and I even saw some in Wal-Mart the other day. It is still not as plentiful as it was at one time, but it is not nearly as scarce as it was just last year. -
I went through and set every one of the loaded cartridges on end on the table and then pulled out any that wobbled at all. Some were really bad and were obviously wrong primers, some were not as noticeable, but for cautions sake I pulled them anyway. From what I can tell, I used 53 Large Magnum Rifle primers and I have pulled out 90 rounds that showed any degree of wobble, so I think the chances are pretty good that I got them all. 90 is still a lot to disassemble, but it is much better than roughly 400. I guess I know what I am doing all evening. I was really hoping I would get to disassemble them the fun way tonight instead.
