  1. I would ask Shooter's Depot in Chattanooga.  They are LEO, Military & family friendly.  The worst they can do is say no. Cherokee Slim
  2. Was it somewhere around Hamilton County? I'm no expert but I've noticed some of the high racked bucks seem to be a bit heavier & healthier this year. Cherokee Slim
  3. I'm missing how you would actually "mine" a bitcoin.  I've read several stories on them.  If it's just a computer function why couldn't you tell Excel or something to mine you a million or so? Cherokee Slim
  4. OK.  Looks like I put a bad date on the picture I posted.  To clear things up, the buck was shot Saturday, November 30th.  I'm sorry I messed it up. Cherokee Slim
  5. Dickson County - 6 point, 140 yards, 1 shot. Will try again this weekend with a Sharps 45-70. Cherokee Slim
  6. One of the churches I that I planted in Monterrey Mexico had it's start in our home where we sponsored Latin dance classes.  Demographics of the area were 18-25, young singles & married couples, so salsa, merengue & cumbia were something that they would spend time practicing.  Older professional men we involved in javelina, coyote and deer hunting.  When we came home for a year long furlough we took basic, then intermediate ballroom dancing sponsored by Chattanooga State.  None of them are for a sissy.  They strain muscles that even as a Marine I didn't know I had.  They were also good to help with communication in marriage.  My wife had to miss one lesson so I took my oldest doctor daughter and we had a great time.  At six foot & 250 pounds you will never see me in a tutu, but it was fun.  I'm not preaching here, but we had a great time dancing before my accident & I couldn't do it anymore.  Most community colleges & the YMCA have classes. 7. Here is the finished product. The Weaver mount needed another slot cut into it but 5 minutes with a nortorious Dremel fixed that. Thanksgiving Day we will try to sight it in up on Etna Mountain. Cherokee Slim
  8. And talk about service!  I ordered it at 1:23pm today.  I got an email from them at 2:59pm saying that my order had been shipped.  That's good no matter what planet you're from. Cherokee Slim   They are -    Tactical Innovations Inc. 345 Sunrise Road Bonners Ferry, ID 83805 www.tacticalinc.com 208-267-1585 Pacific 208-267-1597 Fax sales@tacticalinc.com
  9. I've played around with my Walther P22 for several years now. I change from short barrel to the weighted longer barrel depending on who wants to shoot it. Besides the Bushmaster, my granddaughter shoots the P22 more than any other, including her Cowboy guns. So I had this Bushnell red dot that I had on something, then took off, then on something else. Most of you understand the urge that today, for no real reason, I need to change something. Be it gun, sight, holster or whatever. I've set the red dot on top of the P22 several times but only saw one option to mount it; something that mounted under the barrel on and went around the barrel with a platform on top. The slide is too thin to mount something on top. I finally got that itch that demands scratched today and found that Weaver actually makes what I wanted. Here it is - So I ordered it from Tactical Innovations and it's on it's way. I'll post a picture when it gets here. It just seems like a pretty cool option for the P22. I mean, sometimes a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. Cherokee Slim
  10. You can download the form from their website or go to the driver license centers to do it.
  11. They do.  I got mine right at 3 months before expiration.
  12. We didn't expire until Feb of next year.  We got the renewal in the mail and sent it off the next day.  You have to expire in 3 months to renew.
  13. From the deposit of our checks to the day the renewed HCPs came was just 12 working days.  Not a bad deal. Cherokee Slim
  14. Rhinestone Rachel started SASS matched with the .22 Golden Boy.  It has never failed.  Just levering the action you feel the tightness & crispness of the action.  I would call it grandkid proof.  As hard as they shot it it still looks like new.  I would definitely try one out before I bought something else. 15. 35 years ago I was teaching my young daughters how to swim and how to dive into a pool.  I carefully explained that it was dangerous to jump into the shallow end of the pool headfirst.  Then, for some reason I still can't explain I did it.  All the way to the hospital with the girls crying and me covered in blood I told my wife I didn't need to go to the hospital.  Ten stitches, concussion # (can't remember) and a life lesson for my kids they still laugh at. 16. I was thinking about getting a dehydrator to make jerky, but after watching Duck Dynasty this past week I'm nor sure I want to.  It's also possible the meat was bad to begin with. Keep posting.  I may get one yet. Cherokee Slim
  17. WOW!  I've never seen a break like that.  But that's why I try to stick with Dillon products.  (Mine is the RL550b with a bunch of extra powder measures, etc.)  They are like Craftsman from Sears used to be,  maybe still is.  I smashed a ratchet using it for a hammer.  I took it back and the salesman said - "looks like you used it for a hammer!"  I responded that I did.  He said that it didn't make any difference and gave me a brand new one.  I really miss that kind of customer service.   It definitely makes you want to maybe pay a little more to stick with companies that treat you well. 18. I had an obscure part break on one of my Dillon powder measures last week.  I couldn't even see a parts breakdown to find the name of the part.  So I told them the funnel like cast piece that screws on the #2 expansion powder loading die.  Thingy, whatzit cast thing.  I got an email today saying the part was on the way.  Went out to the mailbox a few minutes later and there it was.  It's actually a "Body Collar Complete" in the rare event it breaks again.   This isn't the first time I've gone back to Dillon for a problem and their response is always the same.  Fast service, no bs replacement of anything that breaks at no cost.  It's hard to beat a warranty like that. 19. Cool Beans!  I just found one on EBay.  I'd never heard of it.  Maybe all those years in the jungle.  I'm behind on a lot of books, music & TV.  Thanks for the help. Cherokee Slim
  20. and Duck Dynasty shirts, vitamins, books, DVDs, underwear, etc.
  21. Link me to a source for this book.  Thanks Cherokee Slim
  22. 1853 to 1854 mfg if the numbers are right.  Cool find. Cherokee Slim
  23. SInce we have had problems getting bullets to shoot as many SASS cowboy matches as we shoot It was good to hear of a new bullet maker in Tennessee.  I previously posted that on a Sunday Customer Service of Falcon  Bullets took just minutes to respond to a question.  I don't know for sure if my query prompted or sped up their new line of bullets but I'm happy.  They sent me an email saying the dies to produce 200 grain RNFP in .452 were in so last Saturday I made my order.  It was delivered on Friday.   I have shot Missouri Cowboy #4 for years but they now have a backlog of orders.  Visually the Falcon bullet doesn't show any difference from the Missouri one.  I spot checked about 25 from each box of 500.  There were no air holes, no cracks and the weight was consistent at 199.7, 8 or 9 grains.  I see no difference in the bullets at all.  Lube looked the same.   Cost was $3.50 more per/500 but Falcon could actually ship when I needed them so that's a plus.  Missouri also gives a discount to our club so that reduces their cost even more, but doesn't ship bullets they don't have.  They also don't have to pay Tn sales tax.   I have everything I need to cast my own but I haven't gotten that desperate yet.  Besides it's too much like work.   I'm set for a while but I will probably order from Falcon again.  Here is their website -    http://www.falconbullets.com/   Cherokee Slim
  24. This is the only one I have found.  You can go to a speicic county for information on frequencies and has classified as well.  I still have HF & VHF & packet radios that are in a box from when I brought them back from Peru.  I keep telling myself I'm going to set it all up again but never get around to it.   http://www.radioreference.com/   Cherokee Slim KC4IHO, HK3IHO & others
  25. It's like a guy who gets a G36 and it never works right, compared to mine that has never jammed.  I guess we all have different experiences with everything. Cherokee Slim
