  1. I'm in just not on a Friday. Famous Daves??
  2. Look for a Sig P226 CPO (Certified Pre Owned) Should be able to find one for under $600. Check summitgunbroker.com or Top Gun Supply, they sometimes have them.
  3. Not local but you might try this: http://www.wilsoncombat.com/s_remingtion_steal.asp

    MBR?

You might take a look at the romainian SAR-1. A good rifle for the money and can be had for around $600.
  6. I have seen the Millet (Scout) setup on an M1 and it is sharp. There is a big write up on it over on ar15.com
  7. Not many used ones to be had right now... I think I would just buy a new one for 499 and be done.
  8. Shoot it! I couldn't have a piece like that and not at least shoot it once. I would find some "mild" 230 grain ball ammo and run a mag through it. Of course if it has never been fired, that might change my mind.
  9. I vote revolver. I have had both at the same time and carried the revolver about twice as much as the glock.
  10. I like the SAR-1 also.
  11. That was the first revolver I ever bought. Bought it when I was in college. Put some Hogue grips on it and carried it loaded with 125gr .357. Very accurate and "well built".
  12. I would take the money you were going to spend on the laser and buy ammo. Perfect practice makes perfect and you will be better off in the long run.
  13. Try a 1911 sometime.
  14. My wife carries a Glock 26 (hard to argue with having 12 rounds of 9mm on tap) but she HATES iwb carry. She does purse carry or once in a while OWB. A girl I work with carries a G23 in a bellyband (Galco Model) and really likes it. It works well with dress clothes. You do "get what you pay for" when buying belly bands or any holster for that matter. If you get an IWB I recommend getting one with 2 attachment points. The holsters with the clip/attachment in the center of the holster seem to not conceal as well as those with 2 attachments. You might also want to check out the Smart Carry holster. Hope this helps. Good luck with your search.
  15. I have shot/carried it in .357 mag. Good stuff
  16. I have one on my "work gun" I really like it. Mine takes the N batteries and seems to use them up rather quickly.
  17. +1 on the Wilson Combat mags. All I run are 47d's.
  18. I have found for 1911's and Sig's that 250 FMJ followed by 50 JHP works for me. The Glocks, XD's, M&P's etc. I shoot 100 FMJ and 25 JHP.
  19. I hear good things about Krebs Custom and Arizona Response Systems.
  20. Of all the 1911 holsters I have tried (and it was a bunch) the best one for me is a Galco NSA (not an NSA II). You can still find them on ebay. I have prob tired over 50 and keep coming back to this one. For kydex it is hard to go wrong with the Comp-Tacs or Blade-Tech.
  21. I have a DPMS LR308 and a Federal Ordinance M1A. After shooting them both I really prefer the DPMS. I would sell the Federal Ordinance if you are interested (it is a pre 8000 serial numbered gun which USGI parts were used and has 20 documented rounds through it). PM if your interested.
  22. A buddy of mine has one of those and I got to shoot it the other day. It shot really well. About .75 MOA and I am no sharpshooter. Put some good glass on it if you get one. (He had a leupold MK4).
  23. I fondled a FNAR at Hero Gear on Saturday. It impressed me. Did some reading on it today and it is suppossed to be a shooter. I like my AR-10 but would like to shoot a FNAR to see how it compares. If I only had (1) AR-15 I would not trade for the FNAR though. AR-15 is too versitle and ammo is easier to get.
  24. I think I remember seeing on at On Target in Murfreesboro for rent, not sure.
