  1. Para LDA
  2. I can't believe no one has mentioned the UZI. Might be a little more than $500, maybe not if you ge the wood stocked one.
  3. Check out warrior talk, those guys know thier stuff about ak's.
  4. I worked there as a course guide during a summer when I was in college. That place is top shelf. They had (2) nice sporting clays courses, skeet, trap, 5-stand, make a brake, and my favorite the duck flush. In the duck flush 2 shooters take a box of shells each and they throw like 75 birds rapid fire. It is a good time.
  5. Look at a Beretta 390 in 12GA. Wal-Mart used to have a pretty decent price on the synthetic stocked version (Around 5-600 bux if I remember correctly).
  6. I am a fan of Wilson Combat products. That being said, I think you summed it up pretty well when you said "2k would feed my Glock 17 for a long time." I would not buy it, if you have to have a 1911 style 9mm why not a Para?
  7. I have tried both and prefer the EOTech. It suited my needs better and I like the reticle better.
  8. You might try Owl Hollow. It is just outside of Spring Hill off of Duplex Rd.
  9. You should be alright to eat it. I would try the ice trick.
  10. S&W .41 magnum with a 4" barrel, open sights. 0-50 yard deer killing machine.
  11. I've got a SAR-1 AK. It does everything it is supposed to. You might check on warrior talk, as they just put out an article on the mini-14. I think the mini-14 is a fine weapon and personally would not trade it for an ak.

    1911s

I think if I were you I would get a Kimber. Good middle of the road place to start. If you really like the platform, you won't be dissappointed and need to trade up. Just be sure to give it a 250-300 round break in. I also recommend wilson combat mags, I use nothing else. It is a sickness though.......
  13. I would skip the .380 and get her a small 9mm. Kahr PM9 Glock 26 something like that. Take her to a gun show and let her try a bunch.
  14. They make an ACOG for .308. I think it is the TA-33. That is what I would put on it.

    New Dpms

They use their own or C products mags. M14 mags wont work on the DPMS, I thin they will on the Armalite. I have almost the same rifle (LR308B) in 24" barrel. Have a Leupold MK4 4.5-14x50 mill dot on it. If you arent going to use it as a precision rifle, I would put the ACOG they make for .308 on it. I think it is the TA-33?
  16. If you just had to have a semi-auto I would recommend a Benelli M1 Super 90 tactical. It's going to be expensive but worth it. I would also look at the Beretta Auto (tactical). That being said I personally would not use a semi-auto and would get a remington 870.
  17. I went through this with my wife. We first got her a Sig P239 in 40 with the Hogue grips. After shooting it several times, she decided she wanted a carry pistol (she thought sig was too heavy). She shot a Glock 26 and settled on it. I put a pierce +1 on the mag and she is good to go with it. I would also look at a glock 19 or 23.
  18. Go check Summit Gun Broker. These are all in 40 caliber. Sig 229 CPO $545 Sig 226 CPO $545 Sig 250 $495 Beretta 96 $335 Glock 22 $330 Glock 23 $375 Glock 27 $415 Springfield XD $445 Most are police trade ins. If you can swing it, I would recommend the Sig P229 or the Glock 23. I have both and they are great guns. Hope this helps.
  19. You can't go wrong with the Leupold. I have a MK4 4.5x14-50 on my AR-10. My brother has a MK4 6.5x20-50 on his remmy 700. If I had it to do over again I would go with the 6.5.
  20. Those 2 are beauitful. What kind of grips are on the second one?
  21. Ruger Mini 14 in .223 Ruger Mini 30 in 7.62x39 Good, well built, common ammo...... I would personally save up about 800 and get an AR-15 though.
  22. I have the beretta 390 with a wood stock. It has been flawless for me the last 10 years of pheasant hunting and sporting clays. If you are going to take it in the duck blind, you really need the synthetic stocked one. Walmart is hard to beat on the price of the synthetic one.
  23. I would keep dryfiring that sig. It has a good long DA trigger that will build up the muscles you need for good trigger control. Snap Caps or ball and dummy drills are excellent teachers on the range.
  24. Anyone ever train here? I won a free class in a silent auction (Level II Pistol). Is it any good? Just wanting to know your thoughts on this place. Tried the search and didn't turn up anything. Thanks
  25. Can you tell me the difference between the 22-250 and the 22-250AI (ackley improved?) I am planning out a varmit gun and my cousin swears by the 22-250. I have all the reloading stuff for .223 and that is what I was leaning towards. Can you shoot 22-250 and 22-250AI through the same gun? Thanks
