    XD40 or XD9?

I vote 9mm. Cheaper to shoot.....
  2. I'll be the odd ball..... High Standard Double Nine.
  3. I rode a VROD one time, that thing was fast. I ended up buying a bagger.
  4. I have a condor rifle case that I have kept my duty AR in for the last 4 years, I have no complaints.
  5. A buddy of mine has a Beretta 9mm carbine, takes Beretta 92 mags. Don't know how much it is but should be much cheaper than an AR. It was very fun to shoot and accurate.
  6. Lets say it was a RRA stripped lower. Have a chance to buy one and wondered the price.
  7. I worked there back in college, as far as I can remember they only restrict shot size. I would call and ask before driving down there. They had some rental guns when I worked there (Berettas) not sure if they still do that or not.
  8. If they went to the one at RCTA in Meridian, MS it is a good one. I went there 3-4 years ago and it was top shelf. The course in Jackson was good, kind of an advanced course. Talked alot about how to formulate questions, etc.
  9. I would go to Jackson, lots to do there. I was in a school in Jackson last week. What school is in Lexington? Mine was I&I.
  10. Thanks for all the input, I picked up a PM9 today. Now I just have to get some time to get to the range..... A while back someone posted a pic of a kydex pocket holster that held the spare mag under the gun, who makes that holster?
  11. David: Good job, welcome to the ranks. Look at the FT-857 it is a very good radio. My neighbor runs one. I had a FT-897 for a while, but didn't really like it. I personally prefer the Icom 706 MKIIG if I had to have an HF mobile, but all I run mobile is vhf/uhf.

I know it is not really firearms related but I know alot of TGO'ers ride so I wanted to pass it along. PM me if you have any questions..
  13. Check out CCR Refinishing. I emailed them last week for a price quote. They have a good website that explains the different finishes.
  14. I run FT 7800's in both vehicles. They are good radios. You can also monitor most public safety freqs (unless it's trunked nashville etc). I usually buy from gigaparts.com they are located in Huntsville and have good service.
  15. There is not too much "action" on 10 meter FM or 6 meters for that matter. I think if you didn't want HF that a dual band (2m/440) would be plenty. There are a ton of repeaters all over the US and I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to meet your needs with the repeater. You can buy one with cross band repeat (Ft-8800 among others) and be away from the vehicle and have a handheld and be good to go. The handheld talks back to the truck and then the truck hits the repeater. There are lots of clubs around that can answer your questions or you can pm/ or email me for further if you want. I am an extra class operator.
  16. Bellshire Hardware= Good To Go
  17. I think it was a good deal. You see the DAO models for around that price but rarely the DA/SA models.
  18. Cool, but you need a double AR mag pouch in the middle............
  19. Call the Sheriff's office that has the gun, and get a case number and copy of their report. Ask whoever you have been dealing with over there if they have a copy of the report from where the gun was stolen from (or even the case number). If not call the agency that orig reported the gun stolen (hopefully with at least a case number), and get a copy of the report from where the gun was stolen from and send it to the seller. If this does not work, go see the magistrate in your county and seek a warrant.
  20. I don't remember the name of it but my wife took hers at the Nashville Superspeedway and was satisfied with the course.
  21. Saw one of these at the show today, are they any count? Kinda reminded me of a Kahr.
  22. Wonder how many it will hold? (15?)
  23. I run HK mags on my work gun. I am going to evaluate the Pmags and see if they fit the bil, they are much lighter.
  24. I have the Kimber TLE II RL and could not be happier.
  25. I would think you could buy used ones for 450-475 all day long.
