  1. Hit Joey's pizza one day for lunch (closed monday I think).
  2. I have always had good luck with the ammoman. Bought a bunch of 7.62x39 and 9mm from em. Bought some wolf .223 for a class one time. They have fast shipping and it's figured into the price.
  3. I would go with the Kahr PM9. No need to go below 9mm these days for a pocket pistol.
  4. I'll have to second the High Standard Double Nine. The cylinder swings out for loading so you don't have to mess with the loading gate and doing it one round at a time.
  5. I use Mil-tec in my ar type rifles, and good old usgi green bottle oil on pistols.
  6. Wear your leathers, they saved my ass when I hit a deer on the interstate. I walked away with only a seperated shoulder and broken finger.
  7. Is it possible to change a Beretta 96G decocker only to the FS model with the safety/ decocker? If so what parts are required?
  8. I forgot about Cajun Steamers. That place is good too.
  9. I like Judge Beans BBQ in Brentwood. Good Texas BBQ, I've been going there for years (used to be in Nashville). I will second Stoney River it is excellent. Jonathans has good pizza and 2 for 1 beers until 7 (I think).
  10. The only frame cracking I am aware of is with the .32 Tomcats (blued model).
  11. I have a S&W and have been pelased with it. Should be able to pick one up around $700.
  12. The Ruger SP101 in .357 with the 2 1/4" barrel was my first revolver. I wish I hadn't sold it. It was one of the most accurate revolvers I have ever shot. It would touch 5 rounds at 5-10 yards all day long.
  13. I've been "playing" since 2003. I still suck. I pick it up when things get stressful at work, play a few months, hit the wall and put it down again. It's a vicious cycle. I just picked it up again 2 weeks ago. I took lessions for about 5 weeks but missed a couple and finally quit. I have an alvarez accoustic/electric.
  14. Anybody tried the Taurus titanium tracker in .41?
  15. Heres mine. It's a 57-1 that is Magna-Ported and has an action that is smooth as butter. Used to be my dad's but I had to buy it off of one of his friends because he wouldn't sell it to me. It has killed it's share of Javelinas.....
  16. I wear a G27 (issued) in an ankle glove daily. I have tried the alessi, uncle mikes, and desantis. The galco is the best.
  17. I am a fan of Smoking/Grilling boneless pork loin. It is easy to do and cheap to buy. I usually marinade it in a 50/50 mixture of tequila and Spicy Brown Mustard overnight, then grill/smoke for an hour or two depending on the size. I have found it dirt cheap at Sam's Club and you can catch it on sale at Kroger sometimes.
  18. I'm taking my father-in-law to this after Christmas. He is a huge western fan. BTW I grew up a few miles from John Wayne's birthplace and have been through the museum. I was young and did not appreciate it like I would now. Might have to go back there sometime.
  19. I've shot these through glocks and berettas and never had any malfunctions. Haven't tried the rifle version. They do hurt when you get hit with them.
  20. I have been looking at the Uniden BCD396xt or 996xt for digital. I just haven't been able to let go of the money to buy one. They are about 500, but will do about everything. The state is going to digital in the next couple of years and I travel to states that are already digital so I need to go ahead and buy one if I want to monitor. I have had a scanner since I was about 10 years old. Shoot me a PM if you need any help.
  21. Did you use oil or grease on the frame rails prior to the incident? I have a few Sigs and use grease on the rails. Not saying this would have prevented it, just wondering what you use for lubrication.
  22. Extra Class here. Used to run with the Maury Amateur Radio Club in Columbia but haven't been active the last couple of years. A good bunch of guys, and they do testing also. www.w4ggm.org

    H&K pistols

I carried and shot a USP 40 fullsize for about 4 years (sold it right after college). It was a great gun, I have zero complaints. I liked the fact that I could carry it cocked and locked (Variant 1). I would buy another one tomorrow if the price was right.
  24. I bought my wife one in .40 DA/SA. She put the houge grips on it and carried it a few years until switching to a G26. We still have the gun and it is fun to shoot. I wouldn't hesitate to carry it for Self Defense.
  25. It's been my duty weapon since 2004. No complaints.
