  1. Botach......here we go again. I ordered from them once, with no problems. Then a couple of my buddies got screwed by em. I don't patronize them anymore. I like Brownells and LA Police Gear.
  2. I am looking at getting 1 or 2 of these units. Have been looking at the 120 and 130. Anyone familiar with these and have an opinion on them?
  3. I've had a Ruger MKII stainless with a bull barrel for about the last 12 years. I'm very happy with it and would never sell it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the ruger .22's
  4. Glock 19
  5. I like the 158grn, lead hollow points in the j-frames.
  6. Ive shot a P230 and P232. I have large hands and never got slide or hammer bite. Both pistols shot like lasers, very accurate. A stainless variety is on my wish list..........
  7. I looked into building my brother and I matching 1911 Commanders on Caspian frames with consecutive serial numbers. By the time I viewed the cart on the brownells website, I could have bought (2) Baers, ED Browns, or Wilsons.......... Needless to say I didn't build.
  8. Couple of corrections.... Shelbyville PD switched to HK USP 45 and 45 compact. Columbia PD HK 45 USP. TDOC IA Glock 23 TBI has Glock 23 and 27 to field agents and choice of 23 or 27 to forensic scientists. Just switched over to GEN 4. Also I have never seen a Glock 32 in the hands of THP. The troopers get a 31 and 33.
  9. I spent a few years up there at school. Martin's pretty tame. Shouldn't have any trouble there.
  10. I have been researching getting another one. Look at the Pendelton brand, they have some really innovative features.
  11. I used Jeff Walle at Guns and Leather in Greenbriar. Did a good job on mine.
  12. I think the last picture is "dogtags"
  13. Get a galco ankle glove. I have tried all of the oters (including the alessi) and you can't beat the ankle glove. I wear mine when I have to wear a suit which has been several times a month for the last 5 years.
  14. I got a S&W stainless 1911 for well under that price and couldn't be happier. It's a tack driver.
  15. I used code quick (CD's) to learn CW. Learned it in about 2 weeks, well enough to pass the test anyhow.
  16. I'm not a squire, but I did buy a 5th. It was really good. Liked to have a glass right before bed.
  17. Does KD5CKP still hang around down there?
  18. If you go to Horton, be sure to try the Mexican restraunt in Chapel Hill. Its good and they have XX on tap.
  19. Big Jim, I got started with the Olive Branch ARC. Good bunch of folks over there.
  20. Anyone tried this? I went to a whiskey tasting at JD last night and they had it on display. Did not get to taste it and was wondering if it was worth getting a bottle to try.
  21. Ive got the Uniden BCD996XT and it will pick up everything except TRBO and Clarksville around here. They also make a portable 396XT that does the same. $450-$500. I've had a scanner since I was 10 years old living in Las Vegas. Good listning back then. Go on the Radio Reference site and do some reading. It is the best site I have found concerning scanning.
  22. I've shot the same model, it's good to go.
  23. 450 maybe 500
  24. I had the Doppelduffel and thought it was a little too small for a 3-5 day trip.
  25. Last time I transferred a gun they charged me the fee, TICS, and tax (on the fees transfer and TICS). Not on the purchase price of the gun. They had no idea what I paid for it. This was not at the above mentioned FFL.
