  1. I have a Remington 870 Witness Protection AOW and I'm trying to come up with a solution to put a grip on the front due to the short length and excessive thump. So I have been trying to decide on a tri rail but the internet has failed me so far. Basically I wanted something like the Surefire M69 that is no longer manufactured. Do any of you have a rail forend on one of your shotguns? Any one in particular you care for? Looking for stock size, minimal wobble, aluminum pic rail preferable. Pics would be great, I'm having a hard time finding any information that would sway me one way or the other. NOTE: The forend cannot be longer than the standard 870 pump...that's where the barrel ends. I have found a few that are a little longer and won't work.
  2. I had to do a double form 4 transfer (one from an out of state owner to a store, then one to me). The first one came back in 4 months. Got the second one sent off the Friday before all this 41 nonsense came into play. However I sent in my own trust on a form 1 before that form 4 back in FEB and still nothing. Seems like all the individuals and stores are going through and trusts are taking forever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thank God I got mine out last Friday....wait, when was this sent again? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So my buddy waited until the very last hour yesterday to efile his form 1 with his trust. Imagine that, the site was down. Through his phone call full of angst and poorly connected swear words it got me wondering: What's the deal with Efiling now? Do we have to pdf our prints or can we just do a digital copy once and upload them every time? And if so who does digital fingerprints you can put on a jump drive? And is that the same with the picture? I'm sure one of you has already cracked the code so I am all ears. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ok, but you better be one he!! of a dancer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah I looked again yesterday before I posted this. I figured this was gonna be a "a guy in Idaho has 4 in stock" kind of deal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Anyone know a company that has these in stock for 45ACP?? I have been looking for some for a few months now but I think I underestimated how hard it was going to be to find them without paying a fortune for them. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah. He is taking care of them now so they will go through by the time he leaves. I would rather not deal with the nonsense.
  9. I was under that impression as well but the email from the ATF said in this case it was necessary.
  10. I got an official answer from the ATF. 1) I have to be added to the trust and 2) all items have to have a 5320.20 temporary change of address filled out to the address they are going to be stored at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Oh yeah his stuff is in a trust so that should make it a little easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So my brother in law is deploying for a few months and has quite a few class III firearms. Up until now we just left them in our personal safes with no ability for others to get into them when we deployed but now his safe will be in long term storage. Has anyone dealt with contacting the ATF and stored items like this long term for someone? Really just looking for someone who has done this by the book here, not just theories. Thanks in advance. 13. Gonna bump this one time just to see if anyone else has a solution to my piston issue. Thanks.
  14. Actually the rocksett wouldnt work now that im thinking it outloud. Wouldnt be able to get the end cap off from the can. It would stay stuck between the piston and the gun. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  15. Well im waiting on a double transfer so wait time is not a huge deal. The thought crossed my mind to rocksett a piston on there. Would help not to worry about the can getting loose and getting off cant and having a baffle strike or worse. But it would be a brutal break when the can wasnt on. 16. I know but Im hoping that can will take a little bite off the excessive rise off the MAC in 45. My buddy has one with the old school can and it helps. Given that can is much heavier. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  17. So I got my MAC 10 Lage Upper in the mail today (of course that does me no good because I'm still waiting on the good people at the ATF to finish my transfer) but it reminded me that I still haven't come up with a solution for my silencer issue.   I got my Lage with a 5/8 x 24 pitch and I have an AAC TiRant with a .578x28 pitch. AAC does not, and will never, make a 5/8x24 pitch piston. I have seen a few aftermarkets and I know it will void my warranty but I don't havem uch ofa n option here (whats the point of a 45SMG that shoots 750 rounds a minute if its loud?!?)   So, here is one of the ones I was looking at. http://www.quietriotfirearms.com/product_p/tr45fba.htm  Has anyone had any experience with any of these aftermarket pistons in an AAC shooting full auto? I know a lot of dudes do them like this to shoot 300BO but my concern is the speed, heat, and vibration.   Thanks in advance!
  18. And here I was having people send me resealed cans of Grizzly soaked in Wild Turkey. Monster was the trick. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

  20. I know the feel. We just moved in to our new house and I have been holding back my next purchase. I was on the ropes about that G40 but something keeps pushing me to that Sig 220 in 10mm. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. Oh Mark, you just said four of my favorite words. Mississippi. Hogs. 300. G40. I know this is sudden, but maybe we should be best friends? Just think on it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. ^^^I forgot to add, if you arent going the SBR route I would go with the 308. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  23. Im sure it has already been said (I wasnt about to read all 3 pages) but I have one of each. I have a CMMG Mk3 in 308 and a 300 blk SBR. BLUF, you should get both, they are two totally different platforms. The 300s pros Can hunt with (what I prefer for hog and deer) Can use for CQB/home defense Great with suppressor Perfect to SBR Mags same as your 556 300 Con's Significant bullet drop compared to 308 on average for long distance Expensive ammo 308 pros Good with suppressor as well (if hunting, takes the bite off of it) Longer distance Ammo cheaper Cons Heavy (carry it in the field for 3 days vs a 300 sbr and you will cuss leaving the other at home...ammo is heavier too) Hardware for AR10 mostly not compatible with AR15 Not good for home defense Did I mention its heavy?? I bring up the HD because I use my 300 for that as well. I only use the 308 for hunting. But if you get a 308 suppressor and are thinking about eventually getting both I both an AAC SR7 and its compatible with my 308, 300, and 556 (and soon my 6.8). Hope that helps (but I probably just regurgitated what the rest of these smart fellas already told ya) Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  24. If you go that route go ahead and get on Lage's list. Its at least a five month wait list right now. I've got to double form 4 transfer that M10 and its a race to see who is slower to get it to me, the ATF or my Lage upper. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  25. Couldnt access poll on tapatalk but i will take one if yall did the 3 hole design. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
