    Glock 43

Willis, I second FTE's setup. We have almost identical carries with Taran +2 and +1 grips and Trijicon HDs. I'm 6'1 with decent sized hands and I carry the +2 in the gun and it fits my hand perfectly. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  2. Haha, I always figure there would be a sliding scale on some of those (maybe murder is up there with wanting a Sig MPX)....pacing myself, ohh that's the worst. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  3. Oh I have more 22lr and green tip than I will probably ever shoot. But that's ammo...you can't ever have what you want, but you can have more than you need. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. What??? Just because its someone else's intellectual property or a phrase in common usage doesn't mean I can't steal it and trademark it. This is America! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  5. I have only been a member for like a month. Since then I have figured out how I need to spend my next 15 paychecks through gun purchases, prepping needs, knives, ammo, and accessories. I didn't even entertain the idea of owning a Polaris with a turret, shooting at a drone, or filling a hot tub full of tannerite just to see what happens (the last one is a lie...it's a bucket list item). My wife is already butthurt *TM warpig enterprises* about the purchase of a flame thrower this year and YOU GUYS AREN'T HELPING! And I thank you for that. Carry on...
  6. THIS. I wore glasses for a long time before getting surgery. Two pairs of glasses is like two rubbers on a questionable college hook up. You're trying to be extra safe but you're doing it wrong. If your prescription and wallet will allow get a good pair of prescription ballistic sunglasses like Oakley's (I had many Soldiers do this in Afghanistan, they were worth their weight in gold).  You only have one set of eyes...take care of them. They are worth more than everything in your safe. Even if they are crappy. (I didn't see leaves on trees until I was in the 3rd grade, I feel your pain).
  7. I placed an order a few weeks ago (I don't know when...maybe a week, maybe two. Time is relative and all that). I am relatively new so I wasn't sure if y'all pre order them or if you sent them out periodically or whatever. Just wanted to see when I could pop one on the truck. I still have all 10 fingers and 10 toes, nothing urgent.
  8. Mine has been doing the same thing. Naturally I blamed liberals, commies, and anyone who eats GoGurt (yogurt you drink from a tube? Feels like something is afoot there, but I digress). I was wondering if it was me logging into my phone and the computer. Maybe it's Tapatalk.
  9. That's what I was a little concerned about. I have about 10 NFA items and the collection is growing. I just started the process to get a quote from them yesterday but I wondered if they would cover suppressors, built SBR's, optics, all that other junk.   The company you suggested wasn't bad, they wanted about $200 annual. I'll keep digging around and see what USAA says and do some more research on the Collectibles company. I have never really dealt with insurance claims (I'm over 30 and this week was the first time I ever even had to deal with a fender bender claim. That's what got me thinking I bet my firearms aren't covered by standard insurance). Thanks for the advice.
  10. Did you do any research to see if people had any claim issues or anything? The only reason I figured I would go through USAA is I do everything else through them so far.
  11. I am putting my firearms on my insurance with USAA. For the most part I have the info I need, but they said I need to get a few of the older family heirlooms appraised since they are no longer manufactured, I didn't pay for them, etc. They mentioned these 3 companies. American Society of Appraisers (ASA) American Gem Society (AGS) International Society of Appraisers (ISA) I have never had any firearm appraised before. Anyone have any experience with this around here?   SECOND QUESTION: Do any of these insurance companies cover safe damage? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  12. My buddy is a S&W fan and bought a full size 9 to add to his collection yesterday. I prefer Glocks and I have bought/traded/sold more brands than I can remember. Its all about preference. I run all my guns with efficiency first and perfection in accuracy second. (Concept that it has to function, then hit the target. In a gun fight i dont need great, i need good...too many other factors affect accuracy) Having said that you are arguing chevy over ford. We all have our reasons but at the end of the day both are great products. If you want to sell that G17 let me know...I was thinking about picking one up to run my Tirant 9 on. 13. I got really lucky getting in contact with one of the form processors a few months ago and she has been very helpful answering general questions. I just didn't want to bother her with this one so i sent it to the general question email. I will try it your way on Monday and see what turns up. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Ghost tours

I've lived here most of my life and never knew they had them, either. Probably not a good sign. I on the other hand will be dressing up like the Mario Brothers and going to the go cart tracks to watched all the little stoned teenage employees think their video games have come to life. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  15. I sent an email and got a canned "in process" response. Now...like we always do with the ATF, we will sit here and wait 90-180 days. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  16. I've seen a racquetball bag. I just think I would stand out in a crowd carrying that bag....it wouldn't take a detective to deduce that I'm not the racquetball type. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  17. That sounds brutal. I got lucky as a CO because my MTOE was allocated 1 Echo and I got a solid SSG...but we dealt with some downrange that were, well, just special. I got the warpig thing from my CSM downrange. He was Cav and hated MPs and always use to ask me, "what do the BC's little war piggies have going on tomorrow?" You don't shake that nickname easy so we just embraced it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

  19. I went to school at UT in 04 or 05 when that one actually caused some damage. You can keep that noise. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. I finished my 1st SBR build with my brother in law recently. Geissele combat trigger Troy alpha rail Noveske 300 BLk 8 in barrel AAC 2.0 brake AAC SR7 Bravo company BCG Magpul K grip BAD ambi safety Strategic edge light Aimpoint T1 A bunch of other ridiculously expensive things that put me in a bind with my wife. But forgiveness, not permission, right? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. Nice build. I have a keymod on my 308 but I kinda felt like they were like Jorts...trying to be many things but accomplishing none of them. In any case you are like the Kevin Smith of jorts. Owning it. I like it. Geissele, CMT, CMMG, VLTOR....great ingredients. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. Yeah, don't waste good limes on cheap tequila. They're my favorite fruit!! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

  24. I have two monster 100 lb labs. (and because I am a nostalgic lead slinger they are named Wyatt and Doc). My alpha male patrols the yard like a 31E in an IR camp in Iraq (someone will get the reference). So I am not surprised when he starts an offensive measure against deer, turkey, pesky neighbor kids on their Polaris, snakes, and all other critters.   But at 0330 this morning when he loses his mind next to my window, it warrants household red alert. When I cleared enough to go outside and deal with him, he was barking at THE GROUND. Not a hole in the ground where something scampered in....Just the ground. I can't figure out if I should call an exorcist or the Ghostbusters.   Or there is a serious Tremor threat to the greater Middle TN area.
