  2. Are you starting yet another thread on this ?
  3. As mentioned several times on this forum I've grown up in the same county I was born and raised in. We've had no less than 6 county sheriffs and the current one is the ONLY one that hasn't recovered or seized weapons only for them to disappear and never wind up at a sale or back to the original owner. Where do you think those weapons wind up ? And what happens to the sheriffs son or grandson decades from now when papaws AK turns out as stolen from FL in 1970 ? I know the picture people paint in their mind is when the weapon pops up stolen you're carted off to jail but the reality is nothing like that at all. More hype and fear people like to froth up.
  4. That's a 1% "compliance fee" paid for by the buyer. You can thank Bezos and Amazon for this highway robbery

  6. Hump day BUMP
  7. Simply put, NO ! I owned a 24 and 624 S&W for a long time and have owned the model Taurus you own now. While I'm a huge S&W fan and believer in their quality I would NOT slide a 44mag round into a 44 spl and let it fly. You may get lucky once or even twice but as noted by grayfox there's a reason that gun is chambered like it is. Regardless of modern materials Taurus has tested that gun to withstand 44 spl. pressures which is a different animal than 44 mag. Id track down the Taurus to match my rifle and leave that 44 spl. as is.
  8. He's got my pick for playing Terry Kath in a "Chicago" documentary

  13. When I hear "hatch" and "drum" I know I'm listening to a person that should be handling weaponry
  14. Thats most likely Select Pawn off Morris Blvd. He has an extensive collection he rotates in those display cases. And as hard as it may be to believe $8000 is not even near the top for a snake gun these days.
  15. Thats the picture the MSM are trying like hell to paint
  16. According to ABC news this was a still taken moments before the fatal incident. They said the deceased can be seen in the foreground which I assume is the one on the left operating the camera rig.
  17. FWIW national news this morning is steering most of the blame toward Halls. He apparently has a past with props misfiring and getting fired from sets over the years. Reed is only mentioned as the armorer but it doesn't sound like she was on set at the time the incident occurred. It's interesting that several other armorers turned this job down before they arrived at Reed. The reason ? So whoever holds the purse strings for RUST decided to combine some positions to save money which is why Halls had access to an otherwise closely watched prop. Several well known armorers went on national TV this morning saying once they found out that's the environment they would be working in they said "NO THANKS" and kept moving. That leads me to believe Reed may have jumped at the opportunity to further her up and coming career despite whatever the work environment called for. Regardless of all that the MSM is making sure to shield Baldwin going as far as to suggest he didn't even pull the trigger and the gun just "went off" by itself . Got to love the stupidity
  18. He'll get a misdemeanor in the name of wreckless endangerment at the most and never miss a night sleeping in his own bed.
