  1. I have a strict policy of not being a walking billboard or target while out in public if I can help it. CC, no t shirts with identifying characteristics of my personality, a name brand anything that suggests a certain level of wealth. I shoot for ugly, hairy standoffish A-hole and the many TGO members I've met will tell you I achieve that
  2. Considering the fact that you just purchased a high $$$ lever (congrats from a fellow Marlin 357 owner/lover) and are looking at a wheel gun from S&W's PC line (also high $$$) I'm guessing the price tag isn't a major determining factor in your search. Based on that I would say you are spot on with the 327 TRR8. I had one but opted for the 327NG and love it. Weight will most likely offset because of the additional 2 rounds so I wouldn't base it on that. Since it's a PC model you most likely won't have to deal with the trigger issues many standard run new models sometimes bring with them.Lock and MIM parts be damned the PC models are a breed apart from regular line. At least I think so. As far as going used ( I'm sure you have done your homework ) a used N frame is rarely "cheap" these days especially if it's prelock so I'd spend the extra money as history has shown nice things aren't getting cheaper. Good luck in your search.
  3. Lol. Sounds great ! I was referring to miss piggy though. Are you wanting to buy it on the hoof like your Angus? I've seen several ads for live where you go out to the lot and pick it out but no one offering processed hog anywhere since Rona took off.
  4. I find it hilarious they portray it as a single causation. And the fix is sure as hell not singular. But that's my opinion. Regarding preparing i learned a lot from the 2008 O-chit fest and smaller blips since then. As anyone on here that cooks will tell you the cut of meat isn't necessarily a deal breaker. With the right prep you can make cheap cuts come out fantastic. I spend quite a bit of time in grocery stores and always chuckle at people that blow past cuts on sale and pay crazy prices for the same cut just butchered differently and displayed so its more appealing to the eye. Having an additional freezer is always a great thing and doesn't stop with meat storage. You can extend the life of grains, seeds, legumes etc with proper prep. I'm still looking to add a couple more pieces of vital equipment to the arsenal before this "increase demand by reducing the supply" dries up the inventory.
  5. Nice ! Are you wanting to buy one on the hoof and have it processed ? I see ads for those but none I've dealt with. As for putting back you shouldn't be worried, economic council spokesperson told George Snufflelugapuss this morning once everyone is vaxxed inflation will correct itself sooooo.....
  6. Saturday up Added trade options
  7. Are you starting yet another thread on this ?
  8. As mentioned several times on this forum I've grown up in the same county I was born and raised in. We've had no less than 6 county sheriffs and the current one is the ONLY one that hasn't recovered or seized weapons only for them to disappear and never wind up at a sale or back to the original owner. Where do you think those weapons wind up ? And what happens to the sheriffs son or grandson decades from now when papaws AK turns out as stolen from FL in 1970 ? I know the picture people paint in their mind is when the weapon pops up stolen you're carted off to jail but the reality is nothing like that at all. More hype and fear people like to froth up.
  9. That's a 1% "compliance fee" paid for by the buyer. You can thank Bezos and Amazon for this highway robbery
  10. HUMP BUMP
  11. Hump day BUMP
  12. Simply put, NO ! I owned a 24 and 624 S&W for a long time and have owned the model Taurus you own now. While I'm a huge S&W fan and believer in their quality I would NOT slide a 44mag round into a 44 spl and let it fly. You may get lucky once or even twice but as noted by grayfox there's a reason that gun is chambered like it is. Regardless of modern materials Taurus has tested that gun to withstand 44 spl. pressures which is a different animal than 44 mag. Id track down the Taurus to match my rifle and leave that 44 spl. as is.
  13. He's got my pick for playing Terry Kath in a "Chicago" documentary

  18. When I hear "hatch" and "drum" I know I'm listening to a person that should be handling weaponry
  19. Thats most likely Select Pawn off Morris Blvd. He has an extensive collection he rotates in those display cases. And as hard as it may be to believe $8000 is not even near the top for a snake gun these days.
  20. Thats the picture the MSM are trying like hell to paint
