I'd figure out a way to have both

Having dealt with Eflea for over a decade and being in and out of several hobbies I now search for something, regardless of where it's at, with 2 scenario's and possible outcomes in my head. 1. I am actively searching for X. If I need X for a project or it's the missing link and I have searched far and wide locally for it for an extended amount of time I am likely to not second guess myself and use the buy it now or " I'll take it " if in a forum. Anything less (p.m.ing with an offer, or bidding with ample time left with a BIN remaining) is leaving room for it to disappear at any minute. 2. I have X in mind but I'm not quite sure if I want it. I've procrastinated to no end and passed up "a deal" on X at several shows only to regret it later. Now there's an X on Eflea for 1/4 the price but there's 3 days left. The OLD me would watch it like a hawk and bite my nails to the end. Now I bid my max with all shipping, etc calculated and let it ride. Otherwise I get too caught up in the "beat the other fool" mentality which is common for auctions. I have settled on one outcome for either scenario and that is chill out and let it roll like water off a ducks back. If you want something bad enough then the inflated buy it now or asking price shouldn't stop you. I've paid way more than some things are worth but they're things that once bought I never intend to part with so $$ doesn't matter. If you're looking for a deal you have to be prepared for a let down when that deal doesn't happen.

For me Harry and Lord of the Rings are right up there with Magic the Gathering, D&D, Star Wars, Star Trek, Twilight, Battlestar Gallactica and I could continue but that would mean actually having to think back about it, lol. Nothing wrong with it if that's "your thing". I can relate in the fact that some people don't understand why I want more than one gun and I can't understand why they would think 1 is enough, BUT, when your a 38 year old bagger at the BIG LOTS, you're wearing a I heart Edward T shirt and your lifes ambition is to finally master Klingon please do not attempt to engage me in an adult conversation about ANYTHING, lmao. And please O PLEASE DO NOT attempt to make me a believer on how this stuff could one day REALLY happen. I mean I love me some movies and my list of favorites are endless but I feel like some so called adults take it a step too far. Apparently they weren't breast fed or their oxygen supply was cut off during the fetus stage.

After reading the way Mike .357 described the scenario I can TOTALLY see the reporter making every attempt to throw themselves right in front of the laser (and of course the gun it's attached to) . Maybe even try and stare into it for some potential vision loss.

Agreed. Also,try getting a large coffee at noon in a quick mart and check out the looks from the cashier,lol.I broke out in a flop sweat while drinking it but felt a lot cooler afterward.

Saturday is usually I better day for this show. Or at least that's what I've found.

I have heard they might try to expand to 2 shows a year but as of now I imagine it will next year.

By the way, there's someone out there that makes a PLUG for the crossbolt and if you never handled a Marlin you wouldn't know what use to be there. It's that smooth and nice.

I'm not saying that path is for everyone. And I'm not saying that's something I've done on every lever I have. But if someone is having trouble getting past it mentally, just like plastic surgery, "we can fit that", lmao. Honestly I'd love to have the money and patience to capture every rifle on my list in pre safety fashion. Trouble with that is some of the best rifles, at least on the collector side of things, are being made now or have been made since the 1983 cb addition. But it all works out because very few of them in the "collector" category get shot anyway

There is always the option of just putting "the fix" on a Marlin with the cb safety and being done with it. Where there's a will there's a way !

Well I am glad there is a company out there that's always looking to try something new and different. I will wait until their semi auto platform in this gun arrives

I for one would LOVE to have one in my safe. I do enjoy the 7.62 platform

I just mentioned the golden boy 22 because MrBrian said he wanted a shooter/collector and while the blued versions are great I don't consider those as much as a collector piece as the GB models. But I wouldn't kick either out of the safe
