  1. Hours:Saturday 9-5Sunday 9-4Not sure of the cost but I can't imagine its as much as an rk show.
  2. The annual SMGCA show is coming up this weekend. This will be the second year at their new location right off Callahan Drive. For anyone that has never been to one of their shows this is an ACTUAL gun show. They specifically keep the riff raff out (chinese flea market items, camo flippie floppies, etc) so I always try to show my support by getting the word out and helping out their attendance. Last years show was huge and I remember watching several deals pass me by. One, (IHC M1 Garand) still has me It's located at 6700 Jubilee Center Way Knoxville, TN 37912 I don't have the show hours but will update as soon as I can find out.
  3. Anyone heading to the show tomorrow or Sunday ?I have several I need to part with so bring $$$
  4. For you "gun enthusiast" that plan on going Gun auction promises a crowd By John's Treanor math Powell should sell $150,000 worth of guns today. So for those of you wanting those Colt 1911's for $500 you are in luck Unfortunately that also means someone is walking away with a $500 "clip" and some hi points, rossi, lorcin, etc for the same money But the good news is you can carry that clip or low dollar purchase home without using your hands. Seems Powell knows just where to place that "clip" after you buy it, ROFL
  5. Well they have their bats. Unfortunately they lost their balls a long time ago

    .357 Sig ?

I have it on my list to acquire a G33 barrel for my G27 and start shooting some 357 sig. I've heard good things about it but don't see myself shooting it like .40 just because of the price.
  7. Agreed, lol. Although I hear some people like to buy coffee beans that were once passed through a goats intestine. Maybe you guys can make that your next rant, lmao.
  8. spare the rod, spoil the child. IT STILL HOLDS TRUE, lol. I have to say having a HCP really is the ONLY thing that keeps my temperment. Otherwise I am sure I would have exploded on someone by now. GOOSFRABA......GOOSFRABA.......
  9. Hard to beat the little P22 plinker !
  10. What do you plan to own more of ? .223 weapons or 7.62 x 39 weapons ? Or ( shudders at the thought ) do you plan on just ONE ??? I would go at it from the other way. Set a price in your head and whichever you find in that range first get it and go from there. Chances are it will be a mini 14 as they are the cheaper of the 2.
  11. Dlm is right. I just passed a billboard yesterday that stated the expo show is Aug.20-21. My apologies.
  12. Looks to be mostly new or newer guns which tells me they are cashing in on the auction mentality people have taken on guns. Take turd gun (insert name here) that cost $99 every day at Joe's pawn & loan. Throw it on the auction block with some rat-a-tat-tat speed talking and BAM ! $200 gun+ buyers premium+TCIS. Dang I need to get my auctioneers license, lmao.
  13. RK's site says they are a go so AFAIK they are on.
  14. you get what you pay for unfortunately.... and sometimes you get something to take back home and then eventually to the doctor, rofl. I agree with dlm, for me it's Hampton Inn or my truck. And only Hampton owned Inn's. None of that Hamptonia (former Hampton's) that were bought by Indian's and changed the name just enough to be legal in their own right. There's one of those in Lebanon,Tn, exit 238 I think. There IS a difference.
  15. Getting denied the first couple times is standard. A lot of it, however crazy sounding, is just to see if you are a real claim or just someone with LTH syndrome and want to file. This system use to help weed out the bottom feeders but they're a lot more dedicated now than they use to be.
  16. This might give an explanation as to why I've seen the prices dwindle in the last couple weeks. I was tempted last gun show to pick up a used one for what they actually cost ( can't believe I just wrote that, lol ) but after wrapping my paw around it I didn't like the grip. Love the hi viz sights but that grip felt like I was grasping onto a Bulgarian AK circle 10 waffle mag, lol.
  17. I just hope never to be put in this situation......period !
  18. I'd figure out a way to have both
  19. Having dealt with Eflea for over a decade and being in and out of several hobbies I now search for something, regardless of where it's at, with 2 scenario's and possible outcomes in my head. 1. I am actively searching for X. If I need X for a project or it's the missing link and I have searched far and wide locally for it for an extended amount of time I am likely to not second guess myself and use the buy it now or " I'll take it " if in a forum. Anything less (p.m.ing with an offer, or bidding with ample time left with a BIN remaining) is leaving room for it to disappear at any minute. 2. I have X in mind but I'm not quite sure if I want it. I've procrastinated to no end and passed up "a deal" on X at several shows only to regret it later. Now there's an X on Eflea for 1/4 the price but there's 3 days left. The OLD me would watch it like a hawk and bite my nails to the end. Now I bid my max with all shipping, etc calculated and let it ride. Otherwise I get too caught up in the "beat the other fool" mentality which is common for auctions. I have settled on one outcome for either scenario and that is chill out and let it roll like water off a ducks back. If you want something bad enough then the inflated buy it now or asking price shouldn't stop you. I've paid way more than some things are worth but they're things that once bought I never intend to part with so $$ doesn't matter. If you're looking for a deal you have to be prepared for a let down when that deal doesn't happen.
  20. LOL, that's great !
  21. They're at every show you just have to learn who to avoid. And pay parking ?!? That sux !
  22. For me Harry and Lord of the Rings are right up there with Magic the Gathering, D&D, Star Wars, Star Trek, Twilight, Battlestar Gallactica and I could continue but that would mean actually having to think back about it, lol. Nothing wrong with it if that's "your thing". I can relate in the fact that some people don't understand why I want more than one gun and I can't understand why they would think 1 is enough, BUT, when your a 38 year old bagger at the BIG LOTS, you're wearing a I heart Edward T shirt and your lifes ambition is to finally master Klingon please do not attempt to engage me in an adult conversation about ANYTHING, lmao. And please O PLEASE DO NOT attempt to make me a believer on how this stuff could one day REALLY happen. I mean I love me some movies and my list of favorites are endless but I feel like some so called adults take it a step too far. Apparently they weren't breast fed or their oxygen supply was cut off during the fetus stage.
  23. Cant go wrong with a Browning or a Ruger red label.
