  1. Nothing beats running for pure calories expenditure...

I say that - the Y where I work out has a sort of a ladder on a treadmill type machine. You put a belt around your waist and start climbing. The belt is hooked to the brake, so the higher you climb, the faster it goes. The machine has a marketing label on it calling it the "most cardio efficient exercise machine." Turns out that's a euphemism for, "this machine is going to do it's level best to kill you before you get off of it."

I think this is called a Jacobs ladder. More affectionately known as Satan's staircase, lmao.

  2. Could refer to at least 10 or 12 of the vulture scumbags hanging around out front. I would rather walk the gauntlet of bums downtown by the mission rather than try to carry a gun up the stairs into the Jacobs

No, Garufa knows the one in question, lol. I've made it a point on several occasions to use his own line back on him . The look on his mug is priceless.

  3. I don't know if I will make either. Can't make April due to work and have no idea what November will bring. To be honest, if I could make one, I would go to April. Things may skyrocket in November depending on the election. Unless you want to sell of course.

Buy in April, sell in November :)

  4. Yes. I am sure there will be FFL's there who could do a transfer most likely, especially for long guns. It also a great place to sell and find very hard to find parts, mags, etc. if you have any you want to sell, you will never find a better place to try and sell them.

I remember being intrigued when you mentioned it before now here it is again.

They list 1 in April and another in November. Which one you attending grunt ?
  5. You will definitely enjoy it.

Small suggestion. If you are really looking for something special, get a vendor pass so you can go Thursday night and Friday morning before the actual show starts. You can get a head start on the search before the thousands of others find it. If you have something to sell, it can be a great place to sell as well. It basically ends up being $80 per ticket (you get two with a table) for the whoie weekend, but for me it was worth it as I felt I had access to some guns that wouldn't be there on Saturday.

If you are just going to experience it and not really looking for something special, the normal ticket will be fine.

If memory serves me didn't you say you had an FFL in your entourage when you went ?
  6. Why yes we are! We are going Sat.
This will be our first show. Looking forward to it.
BTW if you are going the Knoxville News sentinel everyday this week had a $2.00 off coupon, not a fortune but it will buy a drink.

Well dang, that was $2 I could have spent on Chinese socks ,lol.

Im headed down tomorrow with a couple and hope to come back with a different couple!

  7. Snoor.

That Gecko45 transition into full mall ninja RTF Operator gear was....corny and oddly well rehearsed. The fact he has his own tacticool label makes it worse.

Sounds like pandering im sure he will be back to shooting unarmed black kids and eating donuts and soliciting sex from female motorist very soon

ETA: thats called sarcasm ^^^ before one of you cries on my PMs again

  8. I just shared because I thought there were some interesting things. I didn't know there was another thread about it, I'm sorry.

It was early and I didn't think to search. I'm still new at this a bit.

    No apology necessary !

Admins will scrub one of them if they need to

  9. Worst part about those auctions are the crotchety old men who just dont give up...do you want a $800 Remington 870? Because thats how you get a $800 Remington 870

In person auctions I totally agree with you on that but can't see overall wearing papaw sitting at a keyboard hitting "bid". Those type of losers need you to see them outbid you in person to achieve the satisfaction they seek.

  10. Wow, tough crowd. biggrin.gif

Best I can tell no one is being arrested for not paying students loans. A guy was arrested for failure to appear in court. It’s the same thing if you don’t pay a speeding ticket or go to court. The Judges issues a bench warrant and the next time you are stopped you go to jail. Are you in jail for a speeding ticket? No, you are in jail for contempt of court.

    Life’s tough; wear a helmet.

I tried mentioning that was the issue at hand twice early on in this thread but it snow balled way off topic. Seems a lot of people had collegiate chips on their shoulders, lol.
  11. Weren't they arrested for failure to appear on a summons, anyway?

THIS is what they reported on last night's news. Not arrested on the debt but the failure to appear. Who knows , he might have gotten a bleeding heart that dropped everything against him but his worthless azz was too big a hairy kitty to even show up.

  12. I watched this guy last night on the world news. That story goes a little further than the one posted to this thread.

After hearing both its my opinion he got what he deserved, he just allowed it to go too far.

They contacted him in 2012 about his debt and have tried since then to get him to pay the $1500 plus interest. It was at the point where they issued a summons to court in which he gave them a big FO that they went a step further. According to last night's story he now has the original debt plus accrued interest, plus court cost from the arrest, plus the charge by the police that made the arrest. 5700 was the total I think.

  13. Just for kicks I'd jump on some big box wheel & tire websites and see what it looks like. They usually have a very realistic looking "build your own" page where you enter the vehicle and choose the wheel and tire combo and it shows them on that vehicle.

  14. Actually it looks like they used a die-grinder. You can see the spray of dust and debris all up the front of the door. A torch doesn't do that. The cuts are also very straight and in places you can see where the metal is bent, like they twisted the cut pieces back and forth to break them off.

That safe looks like an entry-level Browning. It's good for keeping honest people honest, and maybe protecting your stuff for 20 minutes of exposure to a house fire. There are far better safes on the market and those photos are proof of why you should buy one if you really want to protect your stuff.

I focused in on the same thing David. Sometimes its better to spend the extra money on the safe and not get that 1 or 2 guns that week. Rather than losing so much like this.

Hope he can track some of them down or at least find out who done it.
