Need some recommendations on a snubbie. I don’t want ultralight and would like something with a concealed hammer. I’ve handled the Kimber K6 and heavier .357 LCR and like them both. Anyone have experience with either? Kimber is quite a bit more money and don’t know if it’s worth it. Both had really nice triggers from what I could tell.

Kahrman is the 3rd shooter I know personally to buy a kimber only to not like it and move it on. Couldn't say on the LCR.

Since you specified concealed hammer instead of DAO (internal hammer) like the 640 and dont want lightweight like the 638 (airweight) my suggestion would be a 649. You still have the hammer for single action but its shrouded for no snag carry situations, its stainless so it has the weight , and its 357 so you can shoot either. It's not the cheapest option but having been a longtime stud in the smith stable you should be able to find one used for a decent price.

Whenever the discussion of AK reliability and durability comes up the old motor oil bootlace story is thrown out. I’ve heard it from veterans and keyboard operators alike.

Not saying it’s not true as it makes complete sense.  But do “those people” really clean their weapons?

Lmao, But I saw it on the internet Garufa ,dammit its gotta be true !

I honestly didn't realize it was used in the ak/ar debate.

  3. Dont recall where I saw it but I remember watching a video where somewhere in the middle east a guy made an ak with the most basic of tools while squatted down over a rock. After manufacturing this is the desert sand he removed a boot lace, made an appropriately sized knot, dipped it in what appeared to be motor oil and ran the barrel once in each direction. Then fired off a full mag.

So now I just carry an old laced boot and a quart of Quaker State :)

  4. I think this is a thread better suited for General Politics

I've caught several mentions of it throughout the day starting at 3 am and my take, if I went solely off what the squawk box and handheld lifeline tells me is its Trumps fault and that Iranian guy was a swell fella. We poked the peaceful bear and now deserve every terrible thing we sorry ass troublesome Americans get.

But that was my take :)

I threw a laugh at that but it’s the sad reality.  Local folks are finding it harder to get a little something better without going into mortgage until death.

In the last year I saw a large chunk of property locally sell twice. First buyer got lucky and found someone that didn't know what they had. The new owner then spruced it up,hacked it up, and made an additional 300k PROFIT. The country is slowing sinking into the city :(

That reminds me. For any Yankees in the audience considering a move, East Tennessee is a wonderful place to live. Don’t even bother looking at West Tennessee. It’s terrible. There’s nothing to recommend it. You would t want to live there. 😬😇

Yeah come on to east tn. One thing about that though,  those people you thought you were moving away from...yeah they are already here and you'll be buying your property from them now. Good luck lmao !!!

Also, remind me which part of the constitution protects you from unreasonable search and seizure (having your guns taken by the Police) or protects your gun rights when someone has accused you of a crime.

Just because you wear a badge and exclaim someone said some stuff doesn't give you the right to come into my home and do as you please. Law or no law I have my threshold for stupidity. The bigger question is why you keep company with trash bag family members who would be giant vaginas and call the police in the first place.

Luckily I've dealt with local law enforcement on several occasions and have never had an issue.

    How was your experience?

Do you use an FFL for shipping or FedEx?

If you take a gun to an FFL that will ship it for you, do they have to do paperwork, or do they just ship it?

I have a great relationship with my ffl and just use them for pistol transfers. I factor any additional cost into the selling price and/or shipping cost if using GB.

For long guns I just handle it all myself.

Either way it can be done cheaply and all while covering your own arse.

That's not what happened, and 190 is way higher than coffee normally is served.   Also, during the investigation, the McDonald's in the area were found to be keeping their coffee above 204 degrees.

The lady was in the passenger seat of a parked car putting her cream and sugar in her cup when it spilled.   The car was not in motion.  The lady was awarded the victory because McDonald's was in fact serving something unreasonably harmful to the public.   If their coffee had been a normal temperature, her injuries wouldn't have been as bad and she would not have won her suit.

190 to 210 is considered to be optimal temperature for "the best" cup. Ask anyone who uses a french press or a pour over that requires you heat a kettle of.Or you can ask Jeaux (pronounced joe) the barista at your local $10 a cup coffee house and I'm sure he she or it will give you a lecture on the chemical catalyst that takes place :) .
