Similar experience. Went to one and usually stopped bidding after it hit 80 to 90% of full value, especially for a used gun (read police trade in). Saw some good deals on classic guns but they already started higher than my Wife would allow (yes my balls are kept in her safe [emoji2]). Private party is about the best way to go.

Speaking of overly sized rabbits, I was in Vegas a few years ago and they had herds of jack rabbits on the golf couses. Couldn't believe the size and number. Felt like a kid using the golf cart to chase them around.

This is why I try to hit the range when it is empty. My pride just couldn't take it.

If anyone watches Hickok45 he is often hitting his gong at 80 yards and other smaller targets. It's possible and maybe even probable. Waiting for the range report on this one.
