i think your right about getting that one from boom...i told him on the ride home yesterday from the shoot that i wasnt going to give up... i really like the rugers...i really want something with the longer, heavier barrel for accuracy...i know the sig mosquito that aaron had up there is not as accurate as the longer barrels but still a good shootin gun...

Hello Mike, hope you enjoy the site! I don't post much at all but I love to read these guys comment. This seems to be a great bunch of guys that is open to any question you may ask. They helped me decide which gun to buy back a few months ago and I am more than happy with it. by the way, Im from knoxville, right over taz pike on the halls side of emory....my wife and I go to corryton church...she's like yours, don't care much for shootin but I'll eventually get her to fire off a few rounds sooner or later...anyways, enjoy the site!!!

For those of you who have seen some of my posts, I'm new to the handgun world. I've found a slightly used 1 owner .45cal Glock Generation 1 full service handgun for $450.00. It comes with a 13 & 10 rd mag., night sights, ported barrel, and holster. Is this a good deal for a used gun? I've looked at prices for new .45 Glocks and they're over $500. Seems like a good deal to me but I don't want to buy blind and I know that you guys would help me out. Also, what are some of the things that I should look at when purchasing a used gun? Thanks, I am looking for a 40 cal or a 9mm. I currently have a Star M30 9mm. It was given to me 5 yrs ago. It seems to shoot real smooth but I don't know much about them. I have my eye on a 40 cal. Beretta 9000. I like the price, I can get it for about 350 here in knoxville. I have not got to shoot it though, so you're saying that would be what I need to do for sure?
