  1. Had to read up the archives on Uselton's closing. There aren't a lot of businesses involving guns that can fail in this environment, he was truly remarkable.
  2. Buy quality and you only cry once. Lee progressives are needy in the fact you are needing to adjust them so often. Yes, I have had one. Now my bench has a Dillon, a RCBS Rockchucker, and a PW375, the Lee got chucked. You will spend far more on components than you ever thought possible, you will also find you are shooting more than you thought possible.  The initial cost of the reloader may seem like a big expense, but over time you will realize it is a minor one.  I got my Dillon 20 years ago, my best purchase ever! The others are right about a single stage though, there is always a need for one.
  3. What kind of wait times on the Lonewolf? I tried last year through one vendor (that said they were two weeks out) and cancelled the order 2 months later. Since then it has just been nuts.
  4. I hate having a Homer Simpson moment. Still, I have learned more about shooting from reloading than I would have thought possible. Does anyone else remember the time they loaded that rifle shell without case trimming first, then after chambering said round and not seeing a deer all day trying to get that bolt open?
  5. I was in Knoxville at Christmas, Gander Mountain had plenty of ammo, at prices high by today's inflated standards. And they did not even have 16 gauge shells to redeem themselves.
  6. Was at the hotel for a convention over the weekend. Found some 16 gauge shells too, now they are hard to find, nobody else seems to stock it.
  7.   Bass Pro for one
  8. If someone gets there first they will be out of luck, ask me how I know. I will do online from now on.
  9. I had called them and they told me they had brass said I was on my way, drove 30 minutes for them to tell me they sold 4,000 9mm cases and were out. @#?!!!!
  10. Walmart south of OHB on Nolensville Rd. has had bare shelves for months, they used to always have a decent selection. On a related note, the last few times I have gone to the range the crowds seem quite a bit thinner than just a few weeks ago.
  11. I am having a hard time visualizing this, would you mind posting a pic. This is a great idea.
  12. Let me introduce you to some shotgun gurus: Shotgunworld.com. Great forum for all things smoothbore. I learned a lot about reloading from them, loads powders, troubleshooting reloaders. MECs are a very popular line of loaders and I started withe the 600 Jr. too, occasionally you have to adjust the finish crimp. As far as where to get components, I would start with Powder Valley.com, Gamaliel.com and Grafs. If you can't find what you need there look to Ballistic Products. Gamaliel is just over the border in Kentucky and will often set up at the big shoots at Nashville Gun Club. Great bunch to work with.
  13. Used them for years, good to go.
