    Remington R-51

    I will buy one.
  2. I think they are great for their intended purpose. I smile when I hear people say "I didn't like it because it has no sights" like its a target pistol. They are desinged for close up, combat situations where sighting is the last thing that should be on your mind! You will not have any issues trading it if you don't like it.

    Gen 4 G19 custom

    That looks good!

    Remington R-51

I like it. It reminds me of my H&K P7 M8 sort of. I won't be buying one since I have the H&K and I am waiting for a single stack 9MM from Glock!
  5. No .380 for me. If it were a single stack 9MM I would be in line for one and I think the line would be very long!!
  6. The CCO 1911 is the perfect carry platform if you like the 1911 platform. Commander size barrel on an officer's frame. So its smaller than the commander but has the same sight plane. I have one that I have never carried because I carry my full size 1911 in an IWB holster or my Glock 19. But the CCO I think is still the best carry platform for a .45 caliber. They are pricey though. Gunsite sells a Colt CCO for I think $1,295.00. If you really want to spend some change look at the Baer Stinger model which I am pretty sure is a CCO platform pistol.
  7. For the price there is no better 9MM than the Ruger SR9c. Its just a great pistol.
  8. I wish some of those Gen4 19s would make it to East TN. Gen4s here don't even make it to the shelf, dealer selling them on GunBroker! If anyone knows of Gen4 19 at a dealer in East TN for $549 please let me know!
  9. It must be nice having dealers who is selling at MSRP. Our Glock dealer here will not even put a 19 on his shelf. Selling only on GunBroker. He has a 17 on his shelf for $699.99. So I wouldn't expect him to be willing to do a transfer on one from the Glockstore for $549.00!!!
  10. You can't make a Glock not go bang when you pull the trigger! Leave it stock and shoot it!!
  11. I think this is coming up in Knoxville on Feb 9 & 10th. Does anyone know the location of the show this year?
  12. Mine renews in 2012. What exactly is the renewal procedure? I was under the impression that you had to renew at DMV which I was dreading like the plague!
  13. Never had a revolver malfunction in over 30 years of shooting them. S&W and Colt are my favorites and never never fail to fire when I pull the trigger.
  14. I have never bear hunted, but had a friend who did alot. He was a very responsible individual and an all around great guy. He had some top notch dogs, but very seldom did he ever get a bear. Its more difficult than alot of posters on here are portraying. I think there is some "sport" involved, I remember him talking about running thru the woods, up and down mountains trying to cut off a running bear. I don't think they always tree. But I also don't deer hunt because sitting in a tree waiting to ambush a deer isn't sport to me. I know it is to alot of folks, just not me. Give me a bird dog and some wild birds (which there arent many of anymore).
  15. I just saw him and Elvis at the 7-Eleven down the street in a red cadillac convertible.

    Remington 1911 R1

Has anyone seen the "enhanced" version? I was curious about price and what makes them "enhanced" other than different hammer.

    Snubbies..

I like the old Colt snubbies. I have owned Detectives Specials, Cobras, Agents and currently have a Banker's Special. One reason I like them is that they are a 6 shot revolver. Another reason is the Colt blueing is like no other in my opinion. And finally I like Colts because of their heritage. S&Ws are fine revolvers as well, I have just always been partial to Colts.
  18. I had the exact same pistol minus the laser grips. I ended up trading it even for a special edition Smith & Wesson revolver but I had figured it to be worth about $900.00. Mine had only 50 rounds thru it though.
  19. I know several detectives on our local police force. While on duty they don't open carry. I have never asked why, I suppose for various reasons. Personally I don't OC. Never saw the need. I am fine with those who choose to do so. And by the way just because you see someone OC doesn't mean they have a carry permit. It does mean they are stupid, but never assume they are permitted and have been "vented" by the state as one person stated.
  20. Very nice!
  21. I guess my concern is that it is very unlikely you will ever have to use your handgun. Its almost as if you expect you are going to be in a situation where you will need a lawyer. Maybe I am just mis-reading your post. But anyway why don't you ask one of your business law friends for their advice? I can give you the name of one of the best criminal defense lawyers in the State. His office is in Cleveland, but he is very very expensive!
  22. You do not need to "retain" a lawyer just because you now have a carry permit. And unless you plan on committing a crime why would you need a criminal defense lawyer? I think you need to re-think this situation.
  23. I have a XD in .45 that I enjoy very much. Fine quality, great shooting pistol. I would choose the Springfield.
  24. S&W .500 magnum. The ultimate big bore handgun!!
  25. I have a LCR. I love the thing! Nice trigger and very concealable. But you can't go wrong with either.
