You sure have all the right gear to do it with Conner. What rod and reel are you using? I used to do quite a bit of fly fishing on the Hiwassee, but its been a few years.

S&W 617 10 shot would be my choice.

I don't know a thing about any Henry products. I do know a couple of guys that love their lever rifles, but I have never owned or shot one.

Thanks. I guess I was hoping someone has actually talked to a local dealer to verify those dates. Often, posted manufacturer ship dates are "optimistic". And yes they are pricey, but nostalgia comes with a price I guess. My 1st shotgun was a single barrel that I got back in the 60s, I still have it. We were poor and that was all my parents could afford to buy.

Anyone know when the new Henry single barrel shotguns will be on the local market? If you have not seen one take a look at their website. Pretty cool.

Not sure of the exact season, but shooting crows is fun if you have an electronic caller and a good shotgun! Pigeons are fun if you know a dairy farmer that will let you set up on his farm. Small game goes thru end of February also.

I have kept a running inventory of the guns that have passed thru my hands over the years. Several Colt revolvers I would love to have back, several Browning shotguns and one Winchester Model 12. It saddens me really. But as far as selling and buying back I did that too with a pricey S&W revolver. You are not alone!

I am a Glock guy. I have large hands. I love my 43!

Just purchased today a Tagua leather 4 in 1 for my 43. I can't say if I like it or not at this point, but I kind of like the concept of being able to use it IWB or OWB.

Hogs are best hunted with dogs!

Any interest in a Centerfire Biathlon in Tennessee?
rbishop replied to Matt in TN's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
This interests me. I actually do endurance events alot, but never thought about an endurance/shooting event. Only problem is I don't own rifle! -
Saw a mint field model with all updates sell for $1495.00

Fine revolver. I had one a long time ago and wish I had held onto it.

I love mine!

S&W revolver is the most reliable on your list. But it has limited capacity. Which moves my choice to the Glock. It is the second most reliable weapon on your list and holds more ammo than the S&W.

I like the sporting breeds. German short-haired pointers make great pets if you have room for them to run. They need lots of exercise. English Setters are also great pets if you like long haired dogs. But its hard to beat a beagle for a family dog if you need a smaller breed. I like labs, but they have been over-bred in my opinion. Lots of good choices in the sporting dog breed.

I have both the 19 and 17 in Gen4. While I like them both I shoot the 17 better. OWB carry is about the same on both. IWB the 19 is much better.

I can't answer your question, but I just bought two mags for my 43 that were ordered last week from Glock and both have "01" on them.

If its made in Alabama why would you want one? Kidding! Only kidding!

I bought two. One for my daughter and one for myself. I am 6'2" and have large hands. I shoot the 43 very well. Its a great little carry weapon. I love it.

Took the 43 to the range over the weekend. My daughter put about 175 rounds thru it (I bought it for her) and I put about 25 thru it. It ran perfect. She loves it and was shooting it better than she has been shooting the 17 and 34. It seemed very accurate for me as well. Its a keeper for sure. The trigger seemed a little tighter than the 19 I was shooting but nothing that will be an issue for a carry pistol. I have a 17L with a Vanek trigger kit in it that is sweet shooting targets but I don't think I would want that trigger pull in the 43 for carrying.

Bought one yesterday. It feels tiny compared to my other Glocks. For those who think they are the same size as a 26 you better get one in hand and re-think that opinion. The 26 is much blockier and heavier than the 43. The 43 is going to be an awesome carry pistol in my opinion.

I plan to buy two. One for my carry purposes and one for my 21 yr. old daughter who has her carry permit now. Now the wait begins.

Everyone has a Python story. I had a friend who had a lower shelf in his safe full of Pythons of varying finishes and lengths, all in the original boxes. This was around 2000. He offered to sell any of them to me at $1,000 each. I could buy one or all. I thought the price was a little hefty and passed. Been kicking myself for that stupid move ever since.
