I ran some of the 147 grain Underwood stuff through a stock 31 Gen 3. It was uncomfortable to shoot more than a mag at a time.   Probably could have used a stiffer recoil spring as it gave me the same jolting feel as my 20 did with a factory spring and buffalo bore loads. It did get finicky about trigger reset after about 200 underwood rounds (failing to reset every handful of rounds; same thing happened with my 20 before the stiffer recoil spring).
