  1. I agree. Unfortunately most people don't understand how the left slants thing.
  2. Poll: Tennessee voters oppose guns in establishments with alcohol » The Commercial Appeal They just won't give up with their anti-gun agenda. And once again they include the link to search for HCP holders.
  3. No, not needed. Most aftermarket stocks don't use them.
  4. This one sold for $127.50 Pistols For Sale - MODEL JS 9MM - Auction: 8714090 (Ended 07/19/2008, 22:19:00 PST)
  5. I'd tell him that if the police in his area ever have a gun buy back program he should take them up on it.
  6. I just got done cleaning my pistols. Power was out when I got home last night. When it finally came back on I didn't feel like messing with them. I think maybe Daelith was shooting off because of the ghost ring sights on her Ruger. I did all right with it for never using that type of sight before. I've wanted to try them out but I don't like them. She did well with my XD and let me tell you she is a wicked shot with her 10/22. eapking let me shoot his S&W .357 but he didn't warn me that it had a hair trigger. I nearly put a hole in the roof bringing on target on the first shot! It was good to meet Halfpint and Kimberchick. I envy you two. I can't get my wife interested in shooting enough to make a team like the two of you. She will grab a fishing pole and she usually catches more than me so that's not so bad. I wondered where Jay went come shooting time. Good to meet you too. I 'd like to meet earlier on Saturdays before they allow shotguns in. There was one in the lane next to me ad it got a little annoying.
  7. Just slightly-off topic, when did manufacturers start stamping serial #'s on the frame , slide and barrel on auto's ? My new XD-9 and PX4 are both marked this way. The way I understand it is that any individual firearm part that is numbered by the manufacturer is considered a firearm under federal law.
  8. A Ferrari owner only carries a Glock? J/K See ya tomorrow.
  9. This will be my second time and I'm looking forward to meeting more of you. After working outside in this heat all week I'm really ready to shoot something.
  10. UGH!! That may be the ultimate boat anchor.
  11. Ya'll didn't really hijack my thread. If you re-read my OP you will see that you're actually following it. Thanks.
  12. Here you go. Springfield Armory XD and HS2000.com Hope to see you Saturday.
  13. Come on down. I saw your thread on cleaning your XD. I just got a XD-9 and have learned quite a lot about it. I've played with it so much since I got it my wife is ready to put here wedding ring on it. I'm gonna post a helpful link on your thread in the handgun forum.
  14. I ordered 12 x24 sheet from kinifekits about a month ago. They upgraded the shipping and I got it in 4 days. That's class.
  15. It definitely sucked. AK's nand SKS's were priced too high. Most used guns were too. I saw a used Marlin 336 with a cheapoo scope marked at $350.00. Good grief. No beretta pistols and only one mag for my XD-9. No deals on any NIB pistols but I did see a couple of good prices on AR's. Good thing the wife disarmed me of my credit cards . All I left with was a box of Wolf 9mm ammo and only because I have never shot it.
  16. Stocking Up! 150 for the XD-9. 50 Tennessee Cartridge Co. and 100 Federal. 50 Winchester Ranger for the .40 cal. Might get more.
  17. I re-set a dishwasher for a fellow church member that someone else jacked up because he was basically clueless. My friiend is happy, I'm $100 richer. Jamie, I feel for you because I 'm thinking you have the gray poly pipe to deal with. fittings for the pipe is hard to find , a bitch to replace and will eventually fail again sooner than later. I've been plumbing for over a decade and I won't touch that stuff.
  18. Because if you want another one ( seems like the case to me), and you can afford it (?), that's all the justification you need. Go for it.
  19. $10 according to the Ag Center's website.
  20. Please look past my ignorance on all this. I'm trying to figure out how all three of these factors correlate and how understanding it can make me a better shooter. Is pre travel and creep the same or directly related to each other? How does this affect trigger pull? Can my understanding these factors make me shoot more accurately?
  21. Stay away from the Remington gold bullet ammo. It's got to be the worst I've ever seen. There must not be any QC at all. I can here the difference . Some rounds crack while others only go pop and it doesn't group well.
  22. I can only tell you about the XD. Mine is the 4" service model, not the SC but the only difference is size. It's more than accurate enough for self defense, handles well, it's a natural pointer in my hands. Easy to disassemble for cleaning and it has a grip safety. You will not notice it's there when shooting and it adds extra protection should you accidentally drop it and it hits the floor of if it slips from your grip and you instinctively try to catch it. If you train yourself to remove your thumb from the grip while holstering it you don't have to worry if the trigger snags on something.
  23. I'll be there with my old Italian and my new Croatian friends.
  24. I thinks Brownings are over rated. I never met a Remington shotgun I didn't like. Thr friction ring is set for high brass shells. I may hunt a squirrel with it this year . Being a full choke it wont make a good dove gun. This is the first auto with recoiling barrel I've seen in a long time.
  25. It's satire,well written satire. I got a kick out of it.
