  1. I am glad everything worked out for you. While I can understand unholstering your weapon (I think I might have done the same) I am glad, for your sake, that it did not cause an escalation of the situation. Once your antagonist knows you are armed a line has been crossed. If he came over to your car, saw the gun and not retreated what would you have done? What if he started damaging your car (in a way that would not violate the Castle Doctrine) what then? I know, what if's can go on forever. However, after an incident it is good to go over it and wonder what we would have done.
  2. What state is he getting is concealed carry permit?
  3. I've read of this guy doing this but to see it...what a dumb a$$.
  4. There seems to be very little to no gray area on this one. While I find this forum very educating it does generate laughter too! Thanks guys...I have found that after electon day '08 I have not been laughing as much as I'd like.
  5. Thanks for the posts! I sprayed diet coke on the 'puter monitor laughing!
  6. Soon it'll be March and warmer weather will mean less and/or lighter clothes. That being said it brings up a facetious question: Can a man wear a fanny pack without looking too gay.
  7. You had me at the title of your post.
  8. In this nation there are 2 types of people, generally speaking. Takers and providers. If you're a provider you work and pay taxes. If you don't work (either because you can't or won't) and you are public assistance you take. It appears we are on the road to socialism so get used to seeing more takers. Just a thought.
  9. Glocks are beautiful and can take a beating...good to know me thinks.
  10. FNRA stands for _________. Please fill in the blank.
  11. Yes I am and I'm lucky and I know it. Hope it works out for you.
  12. Thanks for the quick response! Not too bad for a Westwind guy;) Of course a Boeing guy asked you so where does that put me?
  13. Sorry if this appears to be a bonehead question but I have never reloaded before... What I'd like to know how much would it take to set a guy up who has nothing. Say a Lee Deluxe Turret plus all the stuff to reload 9mm luger rounds. I guess what I want to know is if I can buy 1000 rounds at ~$200 (.05 ea) what would be my reload price per round be? Thanks.
  14. Now I got to know!
  15. Who, pray tell, is Mr Rabbi? OBTW nice gun.
  16. Did you mean Phoenix, AZ?
  17. Cop wanna bees? Is that like:
  18. Why blame the newspaper? The State of Tennessee allows it to be in the public domain. While I loathe the mainstream media in general and newspapers in particular I blame the state. Just my:2cents:
  19. That is wrong on so many levels.
  20. I thought I was going to get flamed for a philosophically flawed post...whew!
  21. If the reason she has the gun is for self defense is 4 inches at 20 feet a bad thing? I read somewhere (can't find the source) that most gun fights occur within <10 feet. When she takes an advanced handgun course and learns to fire "elbow over holster" at a target 2-3 feet away (aiming at the pelvic girdle) it won't matter at all. Of course, that's my opinion. Here is one source: http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/killed/2004/table35.htm
  22. With Timothy F. Geithner as the new Secretary of the Treasury what problems can possible come up? I mean the man is a financial guru after all... forget about the not paying tax thing.
