  1. As others have already said:  please post a report after you attend.  Thanks!
  2. Sounds great. I'd love to go but unfortunately I'm bald.
  3. No problem.  I am signed up for the AK class and I'm seriously looking forward to it!
  4. Per the Suarez International website HITS-4 is a two day class.  I took two days off from work assuming that's correct.    Please confirm that the website is wrong and that the AK class (HITS-4) is indeed 1 day.   Here's the website:   http://www.suarezinternationalstore.com/140712-dynamics-of-the-kalashnikov-chattanooga-tn.aspx
  5. Why do you hate him?   And why admit you're a troll?    Not meaning to stir the pot but it I'd like to know why you feel that way.
  6. whitewolf001 : Did you take the rifle class?  If so, I hope you enjoyed it!
  7. Thanks for the heads up!  I just placed an order for 500 rounds of .40 s&w.  I have no idea when it'll ship.
  8. Thanks D3 but I called and they don't carry it. But I will have to run down there and see for myself.
  9. Anyone know of a merchant in the Nashville area selling 5.45x39 ammo in the sealed metal tins for a reasonable price? Thanks!
  10. I have been to one class there, fighting rifle, and I had a great two days of shooting. I learned quite a bit too mainly that my AK-74 (converted Saiga) is a great rifle. Would I take another class from Tactical Response? Absolutely.
  11. Thanks for a well written review.
  12. YMMV but I bought a Saiga (5.45) for <$400, did the conversion for about $200 and have a rifle that I built. I went to Tactical Response ran my AK-74 for 2 days and I shot more that 1500 rounds without cleaning or lubricating it and I had zero malfunctions. While the AR guys had numerous malfuctions both days.
  13. Just that I'd ask my question again as training is next week.
  14. The video is a good learning tool as far as showing what not to do or act. Also shows how cool an HCP badge is...NOT
  15. I converted a Saiga 5.45 and it was a great experience. There is a bit of pride knowing that I did it but most of all I built a rifle the way I wanted too. I found a series of videos on youtube which helped me. Here is a link to part one of that series:
  16. Very interesting thread. I too find it shocking that an officer would not clear a weapon he just took (from a person carrying it lawfully) it seems to me that it would be one of the first things to do. It should not surprise anyone that every contact with an LEO can go many ways. Once I had pulled over to help a woman with car trouble (that fact she was looking good had nothing to do with it) and as I was looking under the hood (of the car not the woman) an Officer pulled up. I informed him I had an HCP and was armed and he just said "cool". He did not ask to see my HCP or pistol.
  17. If you order from Carolina Shooters be sure to type CSS (all capitals) in the promo or coupon box.
  18. Best looking Mini I've ever seen.
  19. 5.45x39 AR? As of 30 seconds ago I'd say there was no such animal.
  20. You do know it's not a concealed carry class, don't you? Of course I roll my eyes when people say "clips" instead of mags. I am that way because my job requires a certain level of specificity and perhaps because I'm a wise a$$.
  21. Good job being aware of your surroundings. What I find odd (I am not criticizing I just am trying to figure out your mindset) is that even though your "radar" was pinging with threats you made no effort to extricate yourself. I have read about instances that victims of an attack felt that something was wrong just prior to the attack yet did not act on the feeling. You had much more than a feeling yet you stayed in the situation. Again I am not trying to be a smart a$$ I just trying to figure out why. Afterall what's the point of keeping your eyes open if we don't respond to potential threats? <== rhetorical question
  22. That's illegal?
  23. Well said. If I can do it anyone can.
  24. I can never find a deal like that! Good find!
