  1. Back when I lived in PA, my Snap-on guy worked out of a trailer rather than the traditional truck. His trailer was stolen with everything in it. Insurance payed for trailer and inventory, but could never make up for buisness lost while he got new inventory. I felt terrible for him because it wasn't only his things that were stolen. but his livelihood and the way he fed his family was stolen as well. A short rope and a tall tree is what I recommend:censored:
  2. Guns and Leather has always been friendly to me. Everyone I have dealt with there is more than happy to show you whatever you want. The thing that impressed me the most is the way they treated my girlfriend when we have gone there. They answer all of her questions and don't blow her off, as was the usual experience when frequenting some shops when we lived in PA. I also was impressed with Herogear and Guns for America the few times we have been there. Everyone was friendly and willing to help. We went to Franklin once and eventhough they were not busy, we might as well been invisible.

    H&K P2000

I have a P2000 LEM in 9mm that is a pleasure to shoot. I love the consistent pull compared to the traditional DA/SA. It has become one of my favorite pistols to shoot. The interchangeable backstraps give me a nice fit as well.
  4. I used to have a several boxes of that stuff in .357 Sig awhile back. I ended up shooting it all up when I switched to Gold Dots, but it seemed to be good, accurate ammo.
  5. I have an Entry Tactical. It is plenty accurate and eats everything I have put through it without choking

    16 GA Bolt Action

I have a Mossberg 195 16 ga with the c-lect choke that is from the late 50's I believe. From what you describe it is probably pretty much same gun so it is probably 50's to 60's vintage. Thats as far as I know. Maybe you could email Mossberg with the model and serno and they could give you an exact date. Hope this helps.
  11. I have the PTR and a DSA SA58. The FAL is much more ergonomic and balanced than the front heavy PTR, but the PTR is less picky on ammo including Wolf and other steel cased ammo. The FAL is probably the better choice, but neither would dissappoint you.
  12. Awesome. I haven't been there yet even though I live in Donelson. Looks like I'll have to stop by.

    223 Bolt Action?

I have shot a few of the Savage varmints and found the trigger to be excellent out of the box. That is probably going to be my next bolt action purchase, but in 22-250.
  14. I recently bought a 9mm Colt 6450. I never expected to have as much fun as I did. Shot about 300 rounds of Blazer Brass and Speer Lawman- no chokes yet. Great little carbine!
  15. Mine has a P2000 9mm that she shoots at the range, but last time there, she rented a .45 XD and I think she is hooked on .45. Guess we will be looking at getting one soon.
  16. Another one- some FAL love this time. DSA SA58 carbine Also picked up a Colt 6450, but the girl is away with the dig. camera, so no shots yet
  17. I liked him already when I found out that his daily driver is a 1987 Buick GN. This just reinforces that he's a cool guy.
  18. I stopped in last week and they seem like a great group of guys. They were more than happy to show me and let me handle what I wanted eventhough I told them I had no intention of buying that day. I look foward to blowing some cash there in the future.
  19. I believe the Polytech and Norinco AKs use the same barrels as their select fire cousins, so they should outlast us as far as lifetimes go,as long as proper cleaning after shooting corrosive milsurp is observed.
  20. Me hardly working Me with my buddies
  21. Mine are old photos. They were all lost in a canoeing accident. T'was a sad day indeed.
  22. Tech-9. Worthless jam-o-matic. I was 21 and it seemed cool at the time:blush:
  23. A few of mine- PTR91KP RRA Entry Tactical and Yugo M70AB2
  24. My Mossberg 695 with 3" Coppersolid slugs gives me a decent bruise everytime I shoot a few from it. Makes my M38 seem tame.
  25. Hi all, I'm John and I have lived in TN for about a year, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I'm interested in all types of firearms from EBRs to Milsurps. I look foward to interesting conversation with all of you. Thanks for having me.
