  5. Wow. I am curious about it all. Lol In my head I would like to stay as transitional as I can. But my laziness usually guides me more. I guess I want to stay simple as I can and reasonable in price? Doug
  6. Good morning everyone. I am not sure this is the correct thread or not but,,,, I know absolutely nothing about muzzleloaders and recently I’ve been thinking I would like to try one to hunt deer with? The problem is I do not know where to start? I was hoping I could get some real world advice and or experience here? I would be grateful Blessings Doug

  15. Any news here? You have been in our prayers.
  16. Great work Donald. Every time I get to see your work it makes me want another one. Doug
  17. Good to know. I have been looking this rifle over. About the only thing I would like different at this time is the break button. It’s made of a pretty hard plastic? I am kind of old school when it comes to things like that. I would think that a good machinist could fabricate one out of Steel? But we shall see. Thank you.
  18. I will do my best on updates. I have various types of 45-70 to try. Anywhere from cowboy action, all the way up to plus p Buffalo bore? I would have it will do well. Our hunting lease has some pretty dense stuff on it so we shall see. Smiles Doug
  19. Good questions. The barrel is 22 inches long. How I talked myself into it was I told myself I needed a back up rifle for deer hunting. Smiles. This way I could reason on buying it. Lol.
  20. Just wanted to show my new Traditions Outfitter G2 in 45-70. I topped it off with a leupold 2x7 with the low rings. I had been looking for a single shot in 45-70 for a while now and the rifle I thought I wanted could not be found. So here it is. I have not had the chance to fire it yet but God willing this weekend we will. The rifle has a built in muzzle brake. I have never owned or shot a rifle with one so this will be now. I will let you know how it goes. Smiles Blessing
  21. Good to know. Thank you.
  22. That’s all good to know. I am curious what a muzzle brake would do to one though. I have never shot a rifle with one? I do not load anymore, but with that said it might be fun to start again? As for the other calibers? I am not failure with them eather? But it gives me something to research for sure. Thank you Doug
  23. Hmm Any thoughts on the Remington 7600?
