  1. You were absolutely correct Rob. The conditioner put it where I am okay with it. Here are a few pictures of it together. I am not sure how am going to top it off yet? Or maybe trade it off? Doug

  3. Thank you all. You all are too kind. This is
  4. Thank you. My first. I know you all are much better at this than I am, but it’s not too bad for a first timer? I am just amazed that the dents are gone. The damp cloth and iron trick was great. My Kimber 84M in 338 Federal looks like it has an oil finish that is like a satin finish? Would that be correct? Who says you can’t teach an old man something new?
  5. Best I can do with what I have. This side was super dented. My iPad makes it look grainy. If I can knock some sheen down I will call it
  6. Not too bad. It is just a little glossy for my taste. If I read things correctly the conditioner might take care of that? Thoughts? I will try and get some pics up tomorrow.
  7. Just a couple. I can boot myself in the backside for not doing a better job of following the process.
  8. I put the last coat of finish on this morning? 6 coats now. From what I read I now have to wait 7+ days for this to dry and then use the sheen conditioner? We shall see?
  9. Well I am working on it. The iron and wet cloth worked. Who knew? I have 4 coats on it now. It looks good except for 1 spot? But it is getting smaller each coat. We shall see. Blessings
  10. Good morning. Good idea on the YouTube thing. I am going to give it a try. I ordered a tru-oil kit. I have a stock that someone did a really nice repair to a crack. I think I will try it first. I would also like to shorten it by 1/2“ to 3/4”? Oh boy. Here we go.
  11. Stunning, work. Curious how you save checkering?
  12. That’s a possibility? I just have never finished a stock. I will have to do some thinking about that. Thank you. Doug
  13. Good afternoon. I am looking for someone who can refinish a rifle stock. It has a couple little dings in it. Would like to get them out if possible, and a new satin or oil finish? Please let me know. If this is in the wrong area let me know. Have a great day. Doug 615-651-1622
  14. I can see my GT collection growing. Nice work.
  15. Oh boy. I have several of the single-shots. I need to get with them and see how to proceed? Thank you all.
  16. I agree. I need one of these. Doug
  17. Well done. Good looking work.
  18. Hello everyone. I wanted to take a moment and show you the knives that were made by GT. My latest is the the second one down from the top. A nice Bowie.

    Remington R51

I bought one of the new ones a few weeks ago. Love it.
  20. I hear that. I have been looking at this one pretty hard. No matter what I buy, I always end up going back to a snub revolver for my EDPC. For me, there is just something comfortable abut it. Regards
  21. Sounds like an amazing trip. I am headed to the range with my 358 this weekend. Good luck
  22. Thank you. I am curious myself? For me I just recently ran across this and then the addiction happened and had to have one. Lol
  23. Thanks Walt. I hope to get to try it out next Friday? Have a good one.
