    45-70

Wow.. LOOKS GREAT. I have the Henry 45-70 steel I just purchased a few months ago. I have not got to shoot is yet, but I hope to soon. The Henry's may not be the same quality as your Marlins or mine, but I do like them. I have an early Marlin 336RC in 35 rem and 30-30 that were my grandfathers and fathers. They are my favorites.
  3. We are good. Sorry Buried in lol.
  4. Just so you know this knife made it home to me today. Not sure what to say and not sound goofy, but I sure like it. Thank you GT for a knife that will be used and handed down to my grandson. Doug
  5. Res308 you are welcome to shoot it and we have the model 60 pro as well. Sharon and I are at the range at least a couple times a month. It's a great date night for us. Lol. Doug
  6. Well I hate to be different but I kind of like the looks of it. Would it replace my 640 pro? I don't have a clue. Not being as well versed as all of you. I don't have any history with a Kimber. But I do love my 640 pro. It is now my every day carry. A little heavy in the pocket. But I have gotten used to it.
  7. I hope to add a Smith M686SSR within the next month or so. For me I keep on going back to revolvers I think I would like some type of AR. But I have never had a chance to fire any of the new models that are out now? I would also like to add 1 more Henry in 22 Mag. After it i am stopping. Lol
  8. Whatever it is, I like it. Very nice. I am with you on the knife store CJ. Only problem for me would be I would have to own them all. Lol
  9. That is so cool. My Henry 45-70 is the steel. I am still waiting to run so rounds through it though. I bought a case of Leverevolution in 325 grain and a case of 250 grain. My thought is i could use it for most all my hunting needs? We shall see.
  10. That is an interesting question there? How about it GT?
  11. Count us in on that. By the way, Sharon got her a new Sig P238. She loves it. Man that woman can shoot. We will stop by in a couple days. Thanks Doug
  12. Thanks to my neighborhood gun shop, I am the proud owners of a new model pro 60. I had been on the look out for several months and got a call that one had been found. To make a long story short. Or short as I can make it. I got it. It sat in our safe for a couple weeks until this past weekend when my wife and I got the chance to have a date night at the range. I eagerly packed it and several boxes of 38 and 357 ammo in the range bag and away we went. We got to the range and got in right away. I unboxed it and loaded the first cylinder with standard 38 specials. The wood grips fit my small hands perfect. I squeezed off the first cylinder D.A and the target was about 15 yds. For my limited experience the revolver was smooth. The trigger was clean and crisp. The recoil with 38 was minimal. I am not sure how to gauge trigger pull but DA was easy and controllable for me. The next rounds were 38 as well that I fired S.A. Once again the trigger was clean and crisp. Both times I printed just a little low but the grouping was close. For me anyway. From then on we ran full bore 357 Fiochi 158 grain ammo. The recoil was more but very manageable. The sights were easy to pick up and I liked the sight plane. Sharon even shot several rounds through it and shot it well. By the way, she always out shoots me. Lol The biggest thing for me to get used too is my middle finger is a little uncomfortable against the trigger guard. I am guessing I will get used to that though. We ran 2 boxes of ammo and it performed flawless. All in all I really like it. If you have been on the fence on one of these you might want to start looking for one. It could take some time? I will keep you updated as we can and post a couple of pics. Thanks Doug
  13. By the way. I called dibs on this on this particular knife. Sorry folks. Doug
