Music City Tactical Shooters New Years Day Rifle Match
HOGNUT replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Love to have you there for a great match! -
No matter the skill set of the shooter, you will have a great time. Someone mentored me and as a responsible shooting organization, we are tasked to help you enhance your skill. We are just a competition range however in the late spring early summer, I will be opening my own personal membership range. I just bought about 5K in steel targets in preparation. 15.00 for members and 20.00 for non members. We had this year alone over 100 plus new shooters. It was hard to keep up with who were new and who were not.

We do not limit the number of shooters at the range. Everyone that displays proper safety should be allowed to participate in our activities. We will be there the entire time regardless if 50 or 500 show up! Side note: I whole heartly dislike Justin Bieber. My 16 month old is dancing to his music! -
Mike I have one. Let me know if you want to use it for shotgun match.

Rifles are my least favorite between the three. I stink at it so much, promise I will be either next to or last in the match. Glad you had a good Christmas! -

Robert the challenge has been laid down and you should use a "cough cough" day. Now with that being said, the distance should scare you. You have trouble shooting targets 3yrds in front of you....LOL. I do not like rifles but I will shoot the commie gun also. Matt spent some time designing the stages and this will be a challenging match. -

Good to hear that you may come out and beat Glenn again! -
There are competition matches in the Dickson area. You may want to look at them before traveling out of your area. We would be more than welcome to have you at MCTS.

I have to say......the only thing better in the videos is having the bear actually dress up in each sport. The Hi-Point comment was extremely far fetched.

USPSA - Teddy Bear I wasn't going to bite on this thread in the beginning but the voices got the better of me. All sport shooting has its pros and cons, so I am not going to spit on others' preferences.

Do not let me hinder you from buying any weapon related item. If it will make you feel better, telll them the voices in your head(HOGNUT) made you do it. -
Music City Tactical Shooters New Years Day Rifle Match

All rifles are accepted as long as the round does not go through the steel (50 caliber may be a bit much for this type of match but however if you have the money for ammo and willing to buy some steel.....). No steel core ammo is accepted. CJK, You do not need the LaRue for this type of match. I will be shooting iron sight AK47. -
MCTS will be hosting a rifle only match this New Years Day. Match will consist of 5 Stages using approx 100 rounds. Matt Tipton will be the Match Director for the day. Stage Designs are completed and will be posted on the www.mctsclub.com and TGO tomorrow. We hope to see you there for an exciting match and upcoming year! *Note: All Long guns require chamber flags to be used when not on the firing line. MCTS does have these for sale at the range: 1 for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00.

Music City Tactical Shooters - Steel Match December 18, 2010
HOGNUT replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
I hope everyone enjoyed the match this past weekend. With the holidays approaching, we did not anticipate the numbers we had this Saturday. It was great seeing new faces from AL, old friends(not a knock on anyone's age before you ask) and regular shooters. I have been banned from any match designing in the future. Thank you for attending! Have a safe holiday. See you next year for the rifle match. -

I guess today, I was being called the Anti-Christ of the shooting sport. Wait Kemp calls me that every day! I loved all of the emails and PMs about the low round count that people took for granted. People brought 100 rounds of ammo on a 40 round count match and then had to go to Wally World to stock up for more shooting! I know, I know......I am the Devil!!!!! -
Music City Tactical Shooters - Steel Match December 18, 2010
HOGNUT replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Thank you Robert. This match would be a disappointment if not for people that loaned their personal steel for the match along with the steel props we already have. I tried to buy the rest of that special order of the 4 inch steel and the price was higher than I anticipated. The morning will be cold but hope everyone will make a chance to go out in style for the last match of the year! -
