You can join up with GSSF at the match either day.
-
The last GSSF match I attended, I seen four competitors in wheel chairs participating. There is no movement to these type of matches and puts everyone on the same level playing field......Same type of weapon, no drawing from the holster, magazine capacity, etc. This match is geared for the people that do not wish to run from station to station and rely on their skill with accuracy to be competitive.
-
Registration begins at 9 AM each day. All entries that are registered until the cut off at 3PM on Saturday and 2PM on Sunday will be able to complete their entry that day. It will be fun for any type of shooter. Free money and/or guns doesn't hurt.......
-
If you stay home, I have a better chance in winning a free gun.....LOL. I was surprised by the number of Glock owners in the area vs the pre-registration did not equal up. Glock and I anticipated a huge walk up number.
-
I just received the official tally of pre-registration for the event. I know there are a lot of Glock owners that want the opportunity to win Glock certificate or money at random. This event is perfect for the accurate shooters.
-
Not a problem. Except the shooting of just one division......LOL.
-
Watched the video. Sun dial for time keeping was heavily used....... Congrats on your division championship.
-
Holy terror=Randy Rogers Anyone can win the Glocks because there are prizes for random drawing and some based on performance. Maybe you can borrow one of mine and shoot the match so you can try to win a random Glock and shoot a real gun....LOL. Bought two more G21SF Saturday after working on the range. A lot of work has been done on the range but we are not finished yet. I am tired.......

Any competition shooting in West TN?
HOGNUT replied to Beltaine's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
MSSA (Memphis) or TSF (Jackson) are your choices locally. Music City Tactical Shooters in Dickson. -
Yes we do have a dueling tree (personal not the club's) but it will not be utilized during this type of match. It may come out when we have a man vs man steel match.
-
There are several things that will be going on before, during, and after the match. We are having new tables being delivered to the range for the bays. The spools will disappear. I will be digging holes for new bay signs that will need to be set in concrete. New road sign. Painting new tables. Any help would be helpful as we approach the gssf match. Thank you in advanced!

Everything is set for the match: The food vendor will be Tater Shack in Dickson. They will be serving cheeseburgers/hamburgers/BBQ, drinks, cole slaw, baked beans, etc. All prices will be extremely reasonable. Nashville Sporting Arms will have all of the 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP you can shoot. They also will have 10mm and 357 Sig for those exotic choices. Holsters and Glock magazines to purchase if needed. There will be another table setup for shooting bags, range needs, etc. We really hope to see you there at the range!

Music City Tactical Shooters - Run & Gun Match 04/16/2011
HOGNUT replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Below are links to videos of the special guest to the range with a new type of training material. We hope to have him back out and test the product again. Targets running a self test. No shooting here but you can hear an IDPA match just out of sight. It is 10 yards to each of the targets. www.targetbotics.com/tbx/tbx_selftest.wmv A perfect run. The shooter fires 10 rounds and makes 10 hits. His time was in the 12's. If you notice some dirt flying, he did not miss. That is just splatter off the steel plate.(Sexy PIG) www.targetbotics.com/tbx/tbx_perfect_run.wmv A run which demonstrates the value of the system. Twice on the left target, which just happened to require multiple hits, the shooter left the target after the first hit and had to go back to it. The second time seemed to have then distracted him. Glad you enjoyed competition shooting
