We at Music City Tactical Shooters do incorporate some multi-gun events at our range in Dickson from time to time. It will be either rifle/pistol, rifle/shotgun, or pistol/shotgun. Check out Music City Tactical Shooters. We sometimes do tweek the schedule based on other area matches and suggestions from members.

I broke the top strap my new protective boot tonight. Can't sleep due to all of the medicine. Another dose tomorrow minus one pill. I guess I need to go by Dr. Greg and get a new strap or buy a whole new boot for 300.00(hopefully insurance will pick up the tab again). See everyone there at the range. Shooting plate racks only SUCKS!

Sorry, I have to say this....This sounds so much like the 14 IDPA/USPSA shooting clubs in TN do with their matches(shooting on the move, utilizing barricades and barrels, using cover, etc). If you do not have the distance described above at your disposal, I would suggest looking up one of the clubs that allows this type of shooting to hone your skills.

Since I can no longer compete in pistol matches that involve running for the near future, I may look into this. Will my Barrett 82A1 be welcomed?

We had 198 entries last GSSF match in May 2011. This was our first one and people knew little about the club at that time. We hope to have 300 plus entries this year. The GSSF match is focused on accuracy. The GSSF matches are geared toward new shooters, women, youths, and disabled people as there is no movement required.

Why haven't you looked at shooting competitions in the area that move from target to target? There are 15 shooting clubs in TN.

Normally, he is 130 points down for a 5 stage match. It is easy to be less points down taking 30 seconds to run a 12 second stage. Accuracy is important. Speed will come later.

Don't worry about the procedurals or hits(complete misses in John's case) on the targets initially. Be safe and have fun with an open mind. The experienced shooters will help guide you on the reads of the CoF. It is a game and should be treated as such. Remember the most important rule of the range: BE SAFE! Then have fun!

Nope!!! that would be 480.00 (on GunBroker before the prices got outrageous) for the shotgun, 3400.00 for the work done and a few hundred on the surefire magazines.....what can I say, I love the color blue. Really don't need an Open shotgun to beat people. I have been doing it with a 500.00 Mossberg 590. I like buying things. If you have it spend it!
