HOGNUT replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
It should be finished around 12:30 running 30 or 70 shooters. This is not a sanctioned 3 gun event so the attendance is moderate(43 shooters is the most we had thus far for a long gun type of event). -

Pronoun whom (the singular and plural objective case of who) (formal) What person or people; which person or people, as the object of a verb. Whom did you ask? 1960, P. G. Wodehouse, Jeeves in the Offing, chapter XVIII: “Oh?†she said. “So you have decided to revise my guest list for me? You have the nerve, the – the –†I saw she needed helping out. “Audacity,†I said, throwing her the line. “The audacity to dictate to me who I shall have in my house.†It should have been “whomâ€, but I let it go. “You have the –†“Crust.†“– the immortal rind,†she amended, and I had to admit it was stronger, “to tell me whom†– she got it right that time – “I may entertain at Brinkley Court and who†– wrong again – “I may not.†[*](formal) What person or people; which person or people, as the object of a preposition. To whom are you referring? With whom were you talking? 1960, P. G. Wodehouse, Jeeves in the Offing, chapter I: “A very hearty pip-pip to you, old ancestor,†I said, well pleased, for she is a woman with whom it is always a privilege to chew the fat. “And a rousing toodle-oo to you, you young blot on the landscape,†she replied cordially. [*]Him; her; them (used as a relative pronoun to refer to a previously mentioned person or people.) He's a person with whom I work. We have ten employees, half of whom are carpenters. 1960, P. G. Wodehouse, Jeeves in the Offing, chapter I: The eminent brain specialist to whom she alluded was a man I would not have cared to lunch with myself, our relations having been on the stiff side since the night at Lady Wickham's place in Hertfordshire when, acting on the advice of my hostess's daughter Roberta, I had punctured his hot-water bottle with a darning needle in the small hours of the morning. Quite unintentional, of course. [edit] Usage notes whom is only used as an object, whereas who is always used where a subject is required. In other words, whom may be thought of as being similar to us, them, etc, whereas who may be thought of as being similar to we, they, etc. However, in both spoken and most written language, who is also often used as an object in place of whom. This makes who similar to you and it which also use the same form for subjects and objects. Some prescriptivists regard such usage as incorrect, and insist on using whom to maintain a distinction between subjects and objects. This makes the distinction between who and whom similar to the distinction between we and us, or between they and them. To some speakers (especially in US English), the use of whom is characteristic of a formal style. To some of these speakers, whom may sound stilted in informal conversation. Whom is more common in UK English, particularly after a preposition (with whom, from whom, etc).

Call me close to the time you will be leaving so I can accurately let you know how much is left. I would hate to have you drive from Hendersonville, and we are finished. -

I say we will both be worn out before it is finished. Good match design by Robert, should be a lot of fun. A lot to setup for this match but it is worth it. We don't have as many 3 gun events this year as last year.. -

Dust off them shotgun, rifles and combine them with your EDC(or competition pistol) to come out and have some fun with some challenging stages. -
A lot of coaching on shooting and less reading from cue cards.

Steel only Match - Music City Tactical Shooters
HOGNUT replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
No idea. It is a holiday weekend usually with people having the day off on Monday so they are able to stay out on the weekend a little longer. With that this type of match is not a regular thing in middle TN. I imagine several people want to shoot the match based on course design and new type of equipment not available. With that being said, if it ends before noon with the shooters present, I could consider doing a second session. -

Absolutely. We welcome all safe shooters! We have had 760 plus new shooters to the range since 01/2010 from all walks of life and skill level set. Words of wisdom, safety is the most important on the range: especially if your safety officer has a pony tail. -

For this outlaw match, 10 round max for SSP. I would recommend shooting ESP division so you can have more rounds in magazines and less reloads. -

This is a pilot run to see if there is enough interest in middle TN to do it every month. -
For all those that expressed interest in the match, the workers will automatically be in a drawing for winning FREE firearms and some other shooting related items. Thank you in advance for all of your hard work ahead!

NEXT MATCH: 3 Gun (5 Stages) - May 5, 2012 Round Count: 161 Total Rounds of Shotgun/Pistol/Rifle Please look at the stages because COFs can be shot multiple way thus causing a variance in round count needed Click Here for Stage Descriptions Registration starts at 8:30 AM. New shooters meeting 8:45 AM. Start shooting 9:00 AM. Awesome COF! You have to decide how you will shoot it and how many rounds of each you actually need. I would bring 100 pistol, 100 shotgun, and 100 rifle to be on the safe side. Hopefully you will be able to hit the targets and not need to make a run to Dickson Walmart. Robert and I will be at the range on May 4th to begin setup so the match can start at 9 AM on May 5th. Any help would be appreciated. Hope to see you there!
